Blood and Bruises

People were always crowding about Zane's table. He had to push and step on some people's shoes just to get through the crowd.

"Hey babee." Zane sat down and put his hands over Taylor's shoulder. She turned her head the other way and tried to ignore him.

He cupped her face and forced her to turn back. "Look..."

"Don't..." She interrupted him. "You wasted my whole day yesterday walking around. We didn't do anything. What was your purpose of the date?"

"Babe, you know i'm sorry. I just..." Zane tried to explain but she wouldn't listen.

Zane gave a big sigh and avoided the subject. He then heard giggling near him. He turned his head and noticed you walking with Nathan.

*This guy! Are they really going out?!* he thought. He slowly got off the table without Taylor noticing and tiptoed over near your table. But then someone else walked up to you.

"Luna." Jacob slung his arm over your shoulder. "I haven't seen you in forever. Are you avoiding me now?"

You looked up and noticed Jacob standing above you. His face was really close so you turned your head the other way to avoid his gaze. You also didn't want him to see you blush.

*Who is this person?* Nathan thought. He glanced around and every girl was staring at Jacob and you.

All of you finally sat down at the table. Jacob took some of your food; either ate it or fed it to you. Every girl was staring at you in awed and hatred.

Jacob held up a strawberry and pushed the fork towards you to eat. "Open up Luna." Making airplane noises, the fork moves closer and closer.

"Jacob... Its... Kind of embarrassing. Everyone is staring." You pushed the fork away but it came right back. You looked over to Nathan for help.

He got the signal and pushed the fork down and said, "She said no, don't force her." He gave Jacob a glare.

Jacob sigh and rest the fork down on the plate. "Luna, who is this guy? He's kind of annoying."

"Um..." You didn't know what to say. But lucky for you that Nathan had decided to answer. "I'm her best friend. Who are you?" Nathan swung his arm over your shoulder.

Jacob ingnored Nathan and stood up. "Luna, come over when you have time." He winked and walk away.

After Jacob left the cafeteria, everyone became rowdy again. People started talking louder and glancing at you. You decided to ignore it and ate your food.

Nathan sat there staring at you. *Who was he? What did he want with her?*

Zane, on the other hand, was hiding behind a table close to yours. There were mostly nerds arouns so none of them noticed him. *What did brother want?*

Zane walked back towards his table deep in thought. Taylor was still avoiding him, but he couldn't care less.

"You, ugly bitch!" You were quietly sitting in the back of the school yard; reading, when some random group of girls came up to you.

You looked up to see Amber, the queen of the school. Her clique, of course, was with her.

"Why was Jacob talking to the likes of you?!" One of them said.

"Don't be silly, Jacob probably felt bad for her." Another said.

Amber shushed them and leaned down towards you. "Why are you..." She looked you up and down and gave a snickered. "... Talking to my boyfriend?"
