Christmas/New Year Party Part 2: Truth or Dare

"Wah~ Luna, this soup is really good! Where did you learn to make it?" Carol complimented, taking more sip from the soup.

You shyly glanced over at Nathan and he gave you a smirk before turning back to his food. You rolled your eyes and cleaned your whole bowl. 

"So how is everything? I was so scared that it wouldn't taste good." You asked everyone.

 Seth put two thumbs up, Jacob winked at you, Zane grinned widely with his mouthful, and Taylor just nod her head. You giggled happily, proud of yourself.

 After everyone was finished, Nathan and Seth helped you bring the dishes and plates over to the sink. While Zane took Taylor into the living room with Carol pulling Jacob with her. Then all of you gathered around the couch. Jacob reach for the remote control and turned on the TV.

 A man, whom was probably in his late 40's, was announcing the news and updates for the New Years. Nathan brought over his bags of snacks. You didn't even notice because you were focusing on the TV too much.

“What kind of party is this?” Taylor spoke up after a while. Everyone turned their heads towards her direction. “Look we have an hour left until the clock reach midnight. Let's do something...”

“I agree!” Carol added.

“How about a game of Truth or Dare?” Zane suggested peering at everyone.

You nodded your head with everyone and sat in a circle. “Who wants to start?” You asked.

Carol waved her hand frantically in the air. She turns to Jacob sitting next to her. “Truth or Dare?”

“Truth I guess....”

“Who do you like?” Her eyes glimmer with curiosity.

Jacob glanced over at you but no one noticed. “A very pretty girl.... My turn!” He turn to Nathan and eyed him. “Yo kid... Truth or dare?”

“Truth” Nathan said in monotone.

“How do you know Luna?”

“We're old friends.” You gave Nathan a confused look. But then Nathan turn to you and smiled. He turn to Taylor and asked her the obvious question.

“Dare” She answered without hesitation.

“Oo~ Bad girl I see.” Nathan joked. “Stuff as much snacks in your mouth as possible and try to sing the 'Happy Birthday' song.”

Taylor did what was told. She squeezed in about 3 chocopies and started the song. Her mouth was full as a chipmunk, and while singing, food was coming out like crazy. Everyone burst into laughter when she ran to the bathroom afterwards. She came back out in a coughing fit, sat back down, and glared at Nathan who was still laughing.

“Ahem” She cleared her throat and turned to the most quiet person in the room. “So new guy... What will it be?”

“Truth” Seth said without even looking up.

“Tell us more about you.”

He looked over at you as if to get permission. You didn't know what to do but nod. “I help Luna's grandma since I live right next to her. I go to a small local school in the district. My parents had also died when I was young so I live just like Luna.”

You gasp a bit cause you had never knew about his personal life. Seth passed his turn to ask and gave it to someone else. Carol volunteered again since no one cared to speak up.

She turn to Zane's direction and giggled. “Truth or dare?”

“Dare then! I'm not afraid, i'll do anything.” He puffed up his chest and pound on it a bit.

“If you say anything... Then I dare you to kiss Luna!” Carol smiled and pointed to you.

Your eyes widen and your whole body stiffen. *What?! Kiss me?!*. Taylor even glared at Carol but she didn't seem affected. Seth, for the first time, looked up instead of playing with the carpet. He stared at Carol for a while. Nathan's mouth was open and speechless.

“Carol...” Jacob started, “I don't think it's a good idea. Zane and Taylor are dating it might---”

“It's just a game! Come on guys.” She interrupted Jacob, totally ignoring what he had just said.

Zane glanced over at Taylor for a nod or a wave of a hand for permission. He proceed over to you and sat in a kneeling position. You blinked in surprise but didn't move. Slowly, Zane leaned in with his lips on yours. Small fireworks and butterfly went through both of you guys. Never have you felt this feeling.

All of the other guys (besides Zane) were watching in envy and jealousy. Nathan had to look away and Seth tried his best to refrain his anger. After the awkwardness, Jacob couldn't take it and finally pulled Zane away. He went back to sitting next to Taylor, a bit daze.

“Who's turn... is it?” You tried to act calm but your heart was beating hard. *My first kiss....*

Seth turned on the TV, “Actually... let's watch for the firework since it's almost midnight.” He change the subject.

Everyone sat back on the couch as Zane excuse himself to go to the bathroom. Slamming the door behind him, he turned on the water and splash water on his flushed face.

Face drenching with water, he stared at himself in the mirror not even bothering to dry himself. *What's wrong with you. You have a girlfriend! A pretty one at that, you're lucky to have her.... Why the FUCK am I feeling like this?!* He put a hand on his heart and tried to calm it down.

Meanwhile, Nathan motioned you to follow him into the kitchen while the others were still silently watching TV. He pulled you close to him so you were able to hear him whisper.

“Are you ok?” Nathan had a concern look on his face. You just nodded. “First kiss huh?” Once again, you nodded without speaking a word.

“Look, don't worry about it. The kiss didn't count since it was a dare.” He reassured you.

“But---” You were cut off by Nathan's finger on your lips shushing you. “No buts whatsoever! Did you forget about our bet this afternoon?”

You blinked, after everything that happened today, the bet had totally left your head. You whisk your head around towards the living and hoped that some snacks were still left. But sadly, it was all gone. You turn back to meet with a smiling Nathan.

He patted your head, “I'm not gonna make you. With all that had happened, making you will just ruin your night.”

“Nathan...” You whispered his name, pondering what to do.

In a quick movement, you were on your tippy toe, leaned in, and gave him a quick peck on his cheeks. He stiffen a bit but relaxed right away.

“Luna~” Nathan pulled you in for a tight hug. *You make me like you more and more.*

SNAP! A small light of flash went off and the person scurry off back into the living room, leaving the two people in the kitchen.
