With your backpack on the table, you searched through making sure that all of your things were in. *Food/water... Check! Extra clothes... Check! Sleeping bag... Check! And other things... Ok!* "That's everything! I can't believe we're going camping!!" You squealed to yourself.
"Who are you talking to?" You jumped and let out a scream as a familiar voice popped up from behind. You bonked the person on the head when you saw who it was. "Aish... Zane, don't sneak up on me like that." He rubbed his arm and meekly smiled. Zane pouted with his best puppy dog face, "That hurt...."
Seeing his sad face, you totally fell into his trap. "Ah! I'm sorry! Your head's ok right?" You pulled his head down a little so you could get a better view. Then a laugh erupted from Zane. "Hahaha you're so gullible Luna. So cute..." He whispered the last part to himself and fixed his hair.
"You excited?"
"OF COURSE I AM!" You smiled brightly, grabbed his hand as you jumped up and down. Zane blushed and his heart did flips inside his chest. It had seemed like your heart would also jumped out of your chest too from how it took the air out of your lungs. You slowed down and breathed in and out deeply. Knowing what could happen, you didn't want it to ruin the field trip and make you miss it.
Luckily, during that time, one of the teacher that was in charged made an announcement to have everyone gather around in the front of the school. "Here i'll help" Zane smiled and offer to carry your big, heavy bag. You wanted to say no but he grabbed the bag before you could say anything.
Both of you walk out of the school and joined with Jacob, and Carol. "Did you guys bring everything?" Jacob asked. You and Zane nodded. Carol grabbed onto Jacob's arm and squealed, "You're gonna sit with me right?" She peered at him waiting for his answer. *You better Jacob...*
Jacob smiled; an uncomfortable smiled, but no one noticed. "Well i'm sitting with Luna, right?" He gave you a wink and you giggled. But in the end you nodded.
"That solves that! The only person left is me~" Carol beamed brightly and hugged even tighter onto Jacob's arm he thought that the circulation were going to be cut off.
"Luna..." You froze instantly as that voice called your name. You turned around and saw Nathan. It had been a week past since that day when you ended up staying with your grandma for the night when she told you the "story". Your happy face fell and your smile turned into a frown. You gave Nathan a light friendly wave, just hoping that he doesn't see you shaking. *Nathan didn't do anything wrong... Why am i acting like this!!* You convinced yourself and smiled brightly at him.
His eyes rounded and was surprised. Nathan cleared his throat and then asked, "Do you have everything you need?" You nodded, "Mhm. What about you?" Nathan just nodded.
"Hey come on, the buses are here" Zane whispered next to you.
You just turned and followed him onto the bus. You sat on the inside of the seat as he take his place on the outside. Nathan situated himself a few seats behind you on the opposite side. For the rest of the ride, he watched in envy as you and Zane fooled around with each other and seeing your laughing and smiling face made him happy. But it was towards another guy. Nathan watched how easily you didn't refuse his offer of sleeping on his shoulder and only a few minutes after that, you were instantly in dream land.
*I miss you Luna...*
