"Can you go to pay?" My mom asks and I groan. "Please," She asks and takes the money and walks into the store, carefully watching the man with the dog.
See I am afraid of dogs. A few years back one of my brother's idiot friend let his dog go and it ran me all the way home. I haven't been right since.
I pay and then go to leave but notice the man and dog have moved closer. It took a few minutes for my mom to reassure me it was okay.
When we went to the car and the man approached, I knew that I messed up. The man and my mom traded numbers. What have I done?

"I'm going out. Do you want to come" My mom Kora asks and I nod? "I'll be out in a minute," I say and then look for something to wear.
I get dressed and then head out to the car.
"Hurry! It's hot out here" My mom says and I laugh. "No one said to sit in a hot car" I mumble under my breath while getting in the car.
When we pulled up outside of my brother Lamar's friend's house, I knew I regretted coming. It's crazy cause I regret a lot of things in life. Instead of me listening to their weird conversation, I slipped in my headphones becoming dead to the world until we got to the store.
"What are we doing for the day, mom," My brother's friend Trent asks my mom.
"Cooking out then heading to the fireworks," my mom says and picks up some seasoning.
It was always weird to me that Lamar's friends call my mom, mom. Especially when I think they're cute, it ruins things.
"I can stay for the week," Trent asks. My mom thinks about it and then nods. "Sure, son," She says which makes it even weirder.
I started to walk away and felt as if someone was staring at me so I fixed my jacket. I felt insecure now. I might have acted conceited sometimes but I was really covering up the truth that I didn't want to face.
"Pick out some cereals," My mom says and I pick my favorite cereal, Fruity Peebles. "I'll share with her," Trent says and I throw the box in the cart and look away.
We start moving again and I change the song and start slightly bobbing my head to the beat. "Cake by the pound, circulate the image every time I come around," I whisper the song.
"We'll be back," Lamar says and then walks away. My mom talks and I ignore her. She rolls her eyes getting mad.
I take my headphones out and hear the end of what she was saying. I nod not really knowing what was going on. "Are you done yet?" I ask.
"Yes. We can go" She says and goes towards the front of the store. I follow behind looking around like always. Out of nowhere came Lamar and Trent.
After paying for everything we headed to the car. I put my 5-month-old sister Faythe in the car and then followed after. We dropped everything off at home and I made sure I looked at least halfway decent. We drove around to pass the time. When it became 8, we drive to the carnival and waited for the fireworks."I can't do that again," I say to my mom once we reach the top of the hill where the carnival was held.
I took deep breathes before continuing since I was pushing Faythe in her stroller. We walked into the crowded place. Lamar and Trent, we spotted first.
We walked past them and didn't say anything. I acted as if I didn't know them, but the girl with them knew better. Katie Comb. She wasn't really a friend but she acted as if she was. When we were in school she never talked to me. Lamar goes bowling all the time and she asks how I am.
I don't know why she just doesn't message me on Facebook. I'm here in the flesh and she hasn't tried talking to me. But she'll probably start talking about me as soon as she can. She was always that type of girl. One reason why I never became friends with her.
We stopped for some funnel fries (Love these so much) and then headed back to the car. As we sat there waiting for 11:00 to come, I couldn't help but think why no one ever liked me. I was always in the shadow of my brother even though I was the better one, sometimes. What they don't know won't get them to like me so it doesn't really matter, I suppose.
11 came and the sky lite up, it was beautiful like always. I just stood there and wanted for them to end. I wasn't too excited to come but I wanted to see my sister's faces. And by their looks, they loved them. The fireworks were almost over and here come Lamar and Trent. The sky lite up nonstop making everyone head back to the car.
We wait until they were officially over to drive away but not before getting stuck in traffic.

Hi! I really hope you guys can enjoy this, I wanted to do something different from my other books so here it is.
It's about Cody Herbinko, he's a Viner. He amazing and insecure about his nose. Before I put him in the book, I was gonna tell stories of how and why she is the way she is.
I don't want to dive in like my others and say here they met, now they're having babies and such.
I'm taking my time with this, they're not gonna be together as soon as they meet.
My friend, Zoe will be helping with most of it so yeah and really hope you like it.
