Cody

"I need the sleep," I say to Sarah. "I know that's why you need to go home, you don't need to be driving any longer, baby!" She says and I smile. "I love how you're so worried about me," I say. "This is serious. You need sleep." She says. "And I'll get it as long as I am laying next to you," I say and take her hands.

"Stop being cute!" She says and looks me in my face. "You're going to be laying without me while on tour." She says. "I was hoping you could visit sometime. I would take you shopping and then after you and I could hang out," I say with a huge smile and wink because I love how she gets on the topic of us having sex.

"Um no. I hate planes and no." She says giving her best-upset face. "Alright. Okay. I'll visit you on days off." I say. "No. You need to rest on your days off," she says. "No, I need to be with you on my days off," I say and kiss her forehead.

"Have you two come to a conclusion yet or not? I want to get home." Chelsea says sighing from the other side of the door. "Yeah. Hold on." Sarah says. "You're letting me stay?" I ask and she nods. I smile and open the door. There laid on the floor was a half asleep, half awake Chelsea.

"Don't you just want to stay here? Ranch is." Sarah asks. "Ugh, I guess," Chelsea says dragging herself from the floor and going to the bed with Ranch, who was already asleep, no doubt.

I left the door cracked and allowed her to get dressed. She left her shirt on and put on some pajama pants. It was summer and she still used her winter cover, she says she still gets cold.
Meanwhile, I burn to death, one thing I would like for her to change.

She gets comfortable and then I wrap my arms around her waist, kiss her cheek and then close my eyes; It didn't take me long to fall asleep then.

...

I open my eyes and Sarah wasn't there anymore, then I smelled bacon. She was cooking breakfast. My baby girl was cooking for me. I grab my phone and open the calendar. I am off again at the end of the month. That's perfect! I get up, grab a shirt and go in the kitchen, where she was cooking like I expected, she had Ranch doing one thing and Chelsea doing another.

"Good morning" I whisper in her ear and she jumps and almost hits me. I laughed my ass off because of the face she made. "I could've had a heart attack," she says and attempts to hit me. Her mom comes out of her room, with her little sisters in route. "Cody!" Grace yells and runs to me, Faythe right behind her. "Hi! Girls." I say and lean down, giving them a hug.

"Are you staying for breakfast?" Grace asks and I nod. "Yep. Then I have to get home and see my family before I leave." I say. "Where are you going?" Faythe asks. "On a trip with some of my friends," I say. "Are you taking Sarah?" Grace asks. "I wish but she won't go and I don't think your mom or brother would like it if I took her away from them," I say and they laugh. "I want her to go with you," Faythe says and I look over at Sarah, who already starring at me. She smiles and shakes her head. "She doesn't want to go with me but maybe you might be able to convince her to come with me," I say and they both and then run to the living room.

She looks over and me with a sad face. What did I do? "You know, I can't go with you," she says with a stern face. "Okay," I say. "I'm serious," she says. "Me too," I say and smile. "You two are ridiculously annoying, like come on, go with the boy, what are you afraid of?" Ranch says. "Shut up," She says and I laugh. "Is it what I think it is? Because you two are old enough to do what you want." Ranch says.

I go and sit at the table to wait for them to arguing and for the food. "You two haven't had you." her mom says scaring me. "No. Mutual decision not to, remember." I say and she nods. "I believe you." her mom says and I look back over at her in the kitchen. She, Ranch and Chelsea were all arguing about our relationship. I didn't mind because those three together are always a mess and talking about stuff that they probably shouldn't be.

"You're burning the food," I yell and they all continue to yell at each other. "Baby!" I yell and they all look over at me. "The food," I say and they get the food. I get up and grab the paper plates some forks and set up the table. "Girls!" her mom yells and they don't come. "The foods ready girls, come on," I yell and they start running to the kitchen. I redirect them to the kitchen table. Sarah tells me what to put on there plate, then I take over and set it down in front of them, add syrup for the pancakes and pour a glass of orange juice for both of them.

"Thank you." her mom says. "Your welcome," I say and go to get my plate but Sarah had already gotten it. "You didn't need to do that," I say. "I did." She says and I walk over to the table and sit down. I start eating and remembered my orange juice. Sarah already had it. "Thank you, beautiful," I say and she smiles. "Your welcome," she says sitting next to me. "How was the time at the beach?" Her mom asks once everyone gets to the table. Sarah and I exchange looks and then, she and Chelsea exchange looks. "We had fun!" She says.

"You got a tattoo from what I heard?" her mom says. "It washes off and your son overreacted," she says. "Does it wash off?" her mom asks looking at me. I had just put half the plate in my mouth. I nod and drink some of my orange juice. "Why didn't you get one?" her mom asks. "because I have a real tattoo," I say and she nods. "I wouldn't have let her get a real one," I say. "You wouldn't have been able to stop me," she says. "Okay," I say and she gives me a look. Why is she so beautiful? "I don't know but you're not bad looking either," she says and I look down at my food.

...

"Hey, mom," I say walking in the kitchen. "Cody, your back?" she asks and I nod. "Yeah. I wanted to see you before I left tonight." I say and she nods. "Are you hungry? I made some food," she says. "No, I just had some breakfast," I say. "How was the trip? Did you have fun?" she asks, I nod and pull out my phone to show her some pictures. There was some of all of us on the beach, some with some fans, some with us just on the boardwalk, two with us in the tattoo shop and a few others. "Looks like you had," she says and I nod and smile. "What are you smiling for?" she asks. "Nothing," I say and walk down the hall. "Sarah-Jane perhaps?" she asks. I just smile bigger hearing her name and continue walking down the hall to my room.
