Denial: We tell ourselves that it isn't true

We refuse to believe that we've lost you

If it never happened then we don't have to feel the pain

Maybe you'll walk through the door and we'll see you again

Anger: The anger at your loss has started to set in

We use this to cover how much pain we're in

How could you be so selfish as to leave us?

How do you expect us to get over you and adjust?

Bargaining: Now we plead with god to bring you back in our lives

We stay up every night hoping you'll arrive

We even beg god to let us take your place

We get so desperate we'd do anything to see your face

Depression: After all others have failed us we get depressed

Wondering why we couldn't save you, we feel useless

Nothing in life appeals to us anymore

Friends and family try to help us, but all we do is ignore

Acceptance: We're at that point where we accept that you're gone

We pick ourselves up, put our lives back together and move on

We miss you every much, but we know that there's nothing we can do

Even though it still hurts, we know we have no choice but to live without you
