Chapter 1: The Beginning

Age: 19

Personality: Caring, Kind, Humourus, Quiet, Intelligent, Reserved.

Appearance: Long dark brown hair, Green eyes, Slim Figure and short in height.

With every step I took into the cold icy snow, I felt my temperature decrease, as a sigh of relief fell from my lips once my eyes fell upon the familiar lodge.

My shaking hand clenched into a fist as I knocked onto the old rotten door of the lodge.

"Hey guys, let me in. It's freezing out here!" I said as my voice started to shake from the cold.

I looked back down at my clothing, debating whether it was a good idea to had picked these particular clothes to wear. I was wearing my black shorts with black tights (which had no sense of warmth included within it-sadly), I was also wearing my my chemical romance top, I was frequently picked on by my friends for the type of music I listened to, but that didn't bother me as I like being different (and I always love strongly standing up for my opinions).

My thick coat was long and soft, which managed to increase my body temperature to a normal heat. I tightly wrapped it around my body whilst I waited patiently, feeling my feet start to numb from the snow.

Luckily, I was wearing my boots, which was the most appropriate shoes I could bring to this trip.

After waiting for more than 5 minutes, I started to get fed up.
"Please guys, j-just open the d-door." I begged, as I heard a familiar laugh on the other side of the door, it was josh.
The door finally opened, as I rushed inside almost falling to the floor.

Everyone's laughter rang through my ears, as I almost fell to the ground.
"Guys, t-that wasn't f-funny." I said as I felt Josh's arms wrap around me, preventing me from hitting my head on the floor, from my sudden fall.

"That was a dick move." I said to josh as I pushed myself away from him, from my anger.
"And welcome back." Josh said whilst laughing, which I couldn't help but laugh at.

My eyes quickly scanned across the room as I saw everyone's faces, which made me smile. They were already formed into their groups.

I was hoping that tonight would be a good night, and that we could all get along just for one night. But I felt this odd feeling rush through my body, the feeling as if I should run and never return. I looked around anxiously, feeling lost, but I tried to forget about it. "It must just be the cold affecting my thoughts" I said to myself as I put on a smile.

After drinking and socialising for hours, it now became dark, and everyone had started to feel tired and worn out.

I woke up uncomfortably from a table my back clicking from the odd position.
"Oh god." I said as my head starting to thump loudly.
Josh was asleep beside me, as I nudged him to wake him up.
"Josh..josh." I said as I shook him slightly.

Beth came around the corner with a smirk on her face.
"You two really outdone us." Beth laughed.
"What happened?" I asked her, as I yawned tiredly.
"You passed out, I don't think josh will make up soon." Beth said as she walked off into another room.

I closed my eyes and leant my head against the palm of my hand.
My eyes glanced down at josh who was snoring loudly, as it echoed through the what it seemed abandoned lodge.

The sounds of people's laughter upstairs was obvious, as Hannah ran down the stairs quickly, she left the lodge immediately as she ran into the cold forest outside.

Beth ran past me, terrified, as she ran after Hannah outside. I quickly joined her outside the lodge, as everyone followed.

The harsh weather felt as if a sharp object had just stabbed through my lungs, as the air grew thin, and the difficulty of a simple action such as breathing became a challenge.

"Hannah?" Beth shouted as her voice started to tremble.
"It was just a joke Hannah" Emily shouted to the open forest as she had a stupid smirk on her face.
"What did you do to her?" I asked Jessica and Emily angrily.
"It was a prank." Jessica muttered.

Before I could say another word, Beth had ran as quickly as she could in the direction she hoped Hannah fled too.
Everyone stood around helplessly, not knowing what to do, as some of them felt guilty.

"What do we do?" Mike asked us terrified of Hannah and beth getting hurt in some way.
"Just go inside, I-I will look for them." I said nervously as I pushed everyone away, whilst I quickly hurried to the pitch Black Forest to search for them.

My heart beated rapidly, as my whole body started to tremble in fear and somewhat dread.

I followed the footprints that was imprinted through the snow. Praying that they were from my friends, not from another.

"Hannah!" "Beth!" I screamed loudly, trying to get their attention.

The sounds of screams echoing throughout the woods made we stiffen up whilst walking.
Towards my left nearby, I saw a burst of fire appear in the woods, as it suddenly disappeared.

"No, no, no." I cried as I ran quickly towards the right, still not giving up on finding them.

More screams echoed throughout the forest, which made me increase my speed. From the stress, I managed to trip and fall over a log on the floor.

"Ah!" The scream was so high pitched and so near that it felt as if it was piercing through my ears.
My head began to freeze from the pain of the snow, I couldn't get back up as I had badly hurt my head.

Something kept running past me, as I saw shadows crawling around me. A tear fell down my cheek as I called for Hannah and Beth, hoping for it to be them.

The bright burst of orange and red appeared close by, as the shadows retreated.

My eyes started to close, as my eyelids became heavy.

The last thing I saw was mikes arms picking me up, as my eyes finally closed, as I fell into unconsciousness.
