Until Dawn (Josh x OC)

Chapter 27: Anonymous.

My whole body started to shake from how frightened I was feeling, as I looked up to josh with fear and terror in my eyes.

"He has gone."

"What do you mean 'he has gone'? I thought you caught him." Josh asked them, confusedly.
"He had left the facilities..somehow he has escaped."

I gripped onto Josh's arm tightly, feeling like I needed his support.

"We came over here to warn you, we will keep a close eye on you..we are available for protection."

"Just remember..he is free now, out of jail because we have lost him. We will try to find him every single day..but I am just warning you."

With those words, I felt my heart stop and my head ache immensely, as I could see dots everywhere.

"Josh..I-I don't feel to good-" My legs started to shake and my eyes closed, as I felt my body fall to the ground.

The only thing I could hear was Josh's voice which sounded worried, "Lauren..Lauren!" He shook my body, hoping to wake me up.

What woke me up from my passed out state was the cold taste of water down my throat, as that made my eyes open and I had sat upright from the floor.

Josh's arms grabbed onto my waist as he helped me up from the floor. I buried my head into his chest, as I held onto him with all of my effort as I started to cry.

"We won't let him hurt you miss Sullivan, I promise." The police offers said loudly, trying to reassure me and to stop me from crying.

"I recommend you to relax, but first we need to show you something..we are forced to." They said worryingly.

"We need you to come down to the station immediately." They demanded.

Josh squeezed my am slightly, "Come on babe..lets just get this over and done with." I nodded my head as I wiped the tears from my eyes and followed the police officers to their can.

I was glad they allowed josh to come with me to the station, they must have seen how much of a state I was in and that I was dependent on having josh by my side to support me.

Once we arrived at the station, I noticed a couple of familiar faces waiting outside which confused me, it was Sam and Mike.

As soon as my feet exited the vehicle I had ran over to them. They both had seemed upset and worried, but it was obvious Sam had been crying for a long time, as her eyes were red and puffy.

"S-Sam? Mike? What are you doing here-" Sam's small arms embraced me into a hug as soon as I had seen her which made me jump a little.

Sam let go of the hug, as she looked at me with some sort of sympathy.
"What's wrong? W-What's going on guys? You are scaring me.." My heartbeat increased as I felt on edge whilst seeing everyone around me looking so worried and frightened.

"Don't be scared. We are always here for you Lauren."

My eyes started to water as I got emotional from their caring comments, then I noticed josh run up beside me.

I still didn't know what was going on and whether I should have been extremely worried about everyone gathering around me.

"Please tell me why you are down here." I begged Sam and Mike, politely.

Sam's hand was shaking slightly as she showed me her phone and what was on there.

My eyes scattered across her bright phone as I noticed so many messages from anonymous numbers attacking Sam's phone.
