Chapter 34: Home

Luckily, I felt like the flight back to our old airport wasn't too long, probably because I spent the whole time talking to josh. Not being bored for one second.

Josh grabbed my suitcase as we had finally landed, we had got of the plane and started to head down to the main area of the airport.
"Oh..oh! I have a joke for you!" I said excitedly, as I started to laugh before I had even said it.
"What is it?"
"Okay..so what's red and hurts your teeth?" I asked as I started to laugh to myself, stupidly.
"What?" Josh asked with a large grin on his face, mainly because he was finally happy that he could see me feeling actual happiness for once, which I haven't been able to feel in a long time.
"A brick." I said as I burst into laughter.

He couldn't help but laugh a little also at the joke, as I felt him intertwine his hand with mine.
"That joke was terrible..but it still made me laugh."
"It is stupid, and that's what makes it funny." I explained whilst still laughing.

I could see josh staring at my face, which alarmed me, as I had to ask him what he was doing, "Why are you staring at my face? Have I got something on me." I said nervously.
"No..I am just so glad to see that beautiful smile that I had fallen in love with again. I was afraid I'd never hear your laugh again either, and to see you so happy really just makes me feel so good. I just don't want this to change you know." He said as he made me smile.
"It won't change..if I'm with you, everything else becomes unimportant." I said truthfully, which made josh smile.
"You are just so..so perfect." He muttered as he squeezed my hand.
"Stop saying so much sweet things. I can't handle all of it!" I joked.

Until, the smile on my face vanished as we were in the same area where James was last time. The exact spot where the police caught him.

I didn't realise, but I had frozen in place. My heart beat started to increase, as I started to get trapped within the large amounts of people surrounding me.

"Josh.." I muttered, asking for help, as I felt so weak. My anxiety and fear had taken over my body completely.

Josh's hands grabbed onto mine, as he helped me to get out of the crowds and to carry on walking, instead of freezing up like I did in the middle of the airport.

I finally reached outside, as I took in a deep breath of air. "Are you okay?" Josh asked me, worriedly.
"Y-yeah, I was just scared..I felt like James was going to grab me." I said nervously.
"He is gone, locked up. He can never hurt you again babe, I promise." He said as he moved the hair out of my face.

I grabbed onto his arm, holding onto him tightly. He walked me to my apartment, which was kind of a long walk but it was fine because I needed to get some fresh air.

"What's the time?" I asked him, curiously.
"Oh god it's 8:30pm, how has it gotten so late?" He questioned, feeling so tired and confused.

He got me up to my apartment door, as he stood awkwardly.

"Right..so, I will see you tomorrow?" He asked me as he leant onto the wall behind me.
"Yeah, I will see you tomorrow." I promised him, as I awkwardly smiled at him. Not knowing whether he wanted a kiss goodbye or something.

I opened my apartment door, as I waved goodbye. Although Josh's hand stopped me from going in.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, as I held onto his back. His lips pressed against mine, passionately again. Where the kiss wasn't quick and rough, it was slow and so gentle.

We must have been kissing for longer than 5 minutes as it felt like we had been kissing for hours.

As he stopped he hugged me tightly. "Love you!" He whispered, as he started to walk down the hallway.
"Love you too."
