Chapter 23: Mixed Emotions.

"Hey Lauren!" I heard Sam say sweetly which awaken me from my heart broken thoughts, as she smiled.
"Oh..hi." I said awkwardly.

I looked back at pete who had noticed my sudden mood change as he put his arm onto my waist rubbing it slightly for support.

"So this is pete and Hannah, these are mike, Sam, Ashely, chris and..and josh." I said trying to hold back my mixed emotions I was experiencing.

I could tell that they were intimidated by them, which made me want to laugh. "Hey guys." Pete said quickly.
"Hey people." Hannah said as she waved.

Hannah always constantly sounds high, which always makes me laugh. I mean she has bright blue hair, she is full of piercings and tattoos, and she always sounds high, so I am not surprised why my friends seem intimidated by her.

She sat down on the floor next to chris, as he moved slightly, "Honey, I don't bite." She laughed.
I sat down next to her on the floor, as pete sat on the end, sitting closely to me.

I looked over at josh, who was staring at me, and I felt very uncomfortable. The girl I had seen all over him started shouting at me, "You didn't ask what my name was? Rude." She shouted, which sort of upset me.
"Sorry, I am Lauren, nice to meet you.." I said whilst putting on a fake smile, as I put my hand out to shake her hand.

She ignored it, as she acted very bitchy towards me. I looked back at pete as I couldn't help but laugh.

I leant my head down to his ear as I whispered, "What's her problem?"
"She might just be jealous of you. I mean she is obviously jealous of you." He whispered back which made me smile, widely.

Josh saw me talking to pete closely which seemed to upset him also. He looked at pete with evil daggers, which I noticed.

That's when mike finally asked the question of how old Hannah and pete were, because it was obvious that they were a lot older than us.

"24." Hannah said, "22." Pete also said.
"So what do they do?" Sam asked me.
"Tattoo artists, they are pretty amazing." I said excitedly.
"So when am I doing your tattoo?" Pete asked me, which reminded me of that promise. I have always wanted a tattoo in my life, so I asked for the closest person I had known to do it.

"Tomorrow. We can just do it then." I said enthusiastically.
"The tattoo or something else..?" He replied with a wink, which made me and hannah laugh.
"You wish pete." Hannah said, with a smile.

Everybody returned into an awkward silence, but I heard josh talking to the girl who was all over him.
"Lets go, I want it now." I heard her say angrily to josh.
"No, not yet. I don't want to." I heard him reply which made me smile.

Mike decided for us all to play a game,
"So..how about we play a game? It is probably really childish for you all but it's a classic." He said excitedly.
"Truth or Dare." Sam replied, as she held mikes hand, which was cute.

Sam looked around as she asked Ashely truth or dare, "Dare."
"Drink a whole bottle of vodka in one go." She demanded. Which Ashley did, chris looked at her concerned, but we knew she should be okay so it didn't bother us.

Chris looked over at josh as he asked him truth or dare, "Truth."

Everytime he spoke I could feel my heartbeat rise dramatically and I could feel myself missing him even more.

"Do you love someone?" Chris asked him. "Yes, I do." He said as he was looking at the floor, but then he glanced up at me, whilst he said it.

Which made my eyes tear up slightly, but I pulled myself together, not wanting to look like an 'emotional ex' that hasn't got over the guy, although that is exactly how I feel.
