A new pack has emerged in Beacon Hills and they don't seem to be up to any good. Scott was going to hunt down their alpha and stalk him out for a while, and he sent you and Isaac to their hideout to find out what their plan was. (He knew you would be safe with Isaac, because he knows Isaac has a crush on you. It was completely reciprocated on your end, but neither one of you would ever say it out loud.)
You and Isaac had rummaged through the old house in the woods for quite some time before you found anything.
You were sifting through piles of papers on a desk in the office when you found what you were looking for.
"Oh my god," you whisper.
"What is it?" Issac asks.
"I just found something, and it's bad," you shake your head. "I mean, really bad,"
"We should call Scott," he says, quickly pulling out his phone. "What is it?"
"They're going to eliminate us one by one," you say, voice trembling. "They've been following us- they know where we live, who were friends with, who are families are. They have a hit list and everything,"
Isaac's blue eyes go wide, and you can hear Scott pick up before he has a chance to respond.
"Isaac, what's wrong?"
"Scott- listen we found something at the house," he starts, "Something big. Get here as soon as you can,"
"I'll be there soon- are you guys okay?"
"We'll be fine," he says, quickly. "Just get here. And bring Allison, we need all the help we can get,"
Just as he hangs up the phone, the front door of the house opens with a click. You hear four heartbeats- far too many to fight off by yourselves. Your panicked (e/c) eyes meet Isaacs and you know he's thinking the same thing. You had to find somewhere to hide, and quick.
You scan the room until you find a rather industrial looking closet in the corner of the room. It was rusted, so they probably didn't use it. It would be a good place to hide for the moment.
You immediately, and as quiet as possible, heave open the closet doors and hop in. looking back, you see Isaac is standing, looking at you with wide scared eyes. You knew what he was thinking, and you wished you didn't have to make him do this, but you had no other option.
"Isaac!" you whisper harshly. "They're coming, come on! Get in here!"
"O-Okay," he nods, shakily.
Grabbing his hand, you pull him in to the tight space and shut the door quietly behind him.
You focus on the sounds outside and try to make out just which wolves from the new pack were outside. You prayed that they would be lower on the totem pole so they wouldn't be coming towards this room or need to get in the closet.
"(Y/N)..."
"I can hear them too, Issac," you say, absently.
"No...(Y/N)... I can't... breath," he says, breathlessly.
You notice for the first time, the deafening sound of his racing heart. You turn to look at him in the darkness and switch to the yellow glow of your wolf eyes to see him better.
He was sweating and shaking. His breath was coming shorter and faster- like he was hyperventilating. His eyes looked into yours in distress. Suddenly you realized what was happening.
"Isaac," you say calmly. "I think you're having a panic attack,"
That just made him more upset.
"Isaac," you say again, firmer this time. "This is not the freezer, your father is gone. You're safe in here. No one is going to hurt you like that ever again."
"Wh-what if I can't get out?" he sputters, grabbing onto your shoulders in a painful grip.
"You can." You affirm, ignoring the pain. "The door is unlocked and I have my hand on the knob so we can get out at any time,"
His breathing was elevating still, "I-I can't calm down, (Y/N)- I can't stop,"
His eyes started to glow their yellow glow. You grabbed both sides of his face.
"Isaac, you are stronger than this," you whisper. "Look at me. Look at me! Do you think I would ever let anything happen to you?"
"I-I can't-"
Something came to you then. An idea that formed into an action in less than a second. It's something that Lydia had told you that she did to calm Stiles down when he was having a panic attack.
You don't think any more and let your lips find his in the dark.
Shocked, at first, Isaac tenses up. But it does just what you want it to- distract him. He returns the kiss and lets it calm him down. Your hand finds his heartbeat on his chest and you thank God when you feel his heartbeat come to a steady rhythm.
He pulls away and rests his forehead against yours.
"That was...unexpected..." he muses, huskily. "I'm okay, I think."
"Don't worry, Scott will get here soon," you murmur.
You feel his arms wrap around you and pull you into a warm embrace. He needed this- some physical contact that would make him feel safe. You held him tight.
"Thank you," he whispers in your ear.
You exhale, "You know I'd do anything for you,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It isn't long before Scott and a few of the others come and fight off the wolves in the house and come to find you.
"Isaac? (Y/N)?" Stiles voice calls. "Where the hell are you guys?"
With a gasp, you throw open the closet door. Isaac lets out a relieved sigh as you both hop out of the dark place. You shoot him a smile and he returns it.
"We're in here!" Isaac calls, starting to exit the room.
But just as he starts walking he puts his hand in yours. You blush but let him do the simple gesture.
Meeting the group, you filled them in on everything you had found out.
"This is huge, you guys, thank you." Scott says. "And I'm glad you're safe."
"(Y/N) is a quick thinker," Isaac comments, glowingly. "She saved us for sure,"
You blush even harder this time.
As you all exit the building before more wolves come back, you notice soreness in your shoulders. Shrugging your cardigan off of them, you notice a blue bruise is starting form. In the shape of Isaac's hands.
You gasp.
"(Y/N), what's wrong?" Lydia calls from behind you. She gasps when she sees it. "How did you get those?"
"Isaac was having a panic attack....He didn't know what he was doing and he just grabbed me," you whisper, glancing at the bruise. "He didn't mean to, though."
"Does it hurt?" she whispers, trying to not upset the others who had gone ahead of you guys.
"Not too bad," you pull the cardigan back up. "I'm just glad he's okay,"
"How did you manage to calm him down?" she asks.
You smirk. "A little trick I learned from a friend."
She looks confused and then grins.
"I always knew you two had a thing!" she whispers excitedly.
You whack her arm, "Shut up!"
"Hey, (Y/N), do you want to ride with me?" Isaac calls, standing by his car.
You glance at Lydia with bright red cheeks. She gives you a knowing look.
"Sure," you smile at him.
He smiles back.
