~3 days before the thing~
You knocked on Lydia's window to get her attention, she snapped her gaze from the assignment to you, a small smile appearing on her face as she recognized you. She opened the window slightly but now enough to let you in and you rolled your eyes as you realized she was going to tease you.
"What are you dong here?" Lydia asked with a smirk.
You rolled your eyes, "Is it illegal to want to hang out with my amazing girlfriend?"
She licked her lips and looked down,"Well what would I get out of letting you in?"
"Well I could pay you in kisses?" you suggested with a smirk.
"I guess that could work," Lydia pretended to sigh before she opened the window enough for you to get in.
You smiled at her and pressed a kiss on her lips,"Why thank you my queen,"
Lydia giggled before she grabbed your hand and you both started cuddling on her bed as she turned on a movie on her laptop. It wasn't long after the movie started that you both completely forgot about the movie, in favor for kissing each other. Soon she was laying down, with you holding yourself over her, your lips connected. Lydia's hands were wrapped around your neck, tangling themselves in your hair. She found herself completely lost in the kiss before she started hearing the sound of a water dropping as if there was a leak in her room.
Lydia pulled away from you with a confused look on her face. "Is everything alright Lyd?" you asked, worried you had done something wrong.
"No you didn't do anything wrong... But did you not hear that?" Lydia asked.
You shook your head before listening closely, not hearing anything except for the cars outside your window. "Is there something I'm supposed to hear?"
Lydia sat up,"The water dripping... Do you really not hear it?"
After you shook your head again Lydia shrugged,"I must have imagined it I guess," Before you could say anything else Lydia pressed her lips with yours again. You kissed her back immediately from reaction.

Lydia sighed to herself, her voice caught in her throat. She was sick of everybody's looks of pity. It was irritating but at the same time she just wanted to bawl her eyes out.
After her first class Lydia was sure that her mother was right. She wasn't ready to go back to school after all.
Lydia rushed out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang, shoving past people in order to get to her car in the parking lot. She slammed her car door shut and gripped the steering wheel so tight it made her knuckles right and pain shoot up her arms.
The tears burned her throat and made her cheeks feel cool at the same time. Lydia furiously rubbed at her cheeks before she started driving to where you and her had your first date. It was a part of the woods that you could easily drive up to and after walking for a few minutes you ended up on a cliff with a small picnic table on it.
It felt unnatural to her to drive up there without you. It was the place that you two had always gone up to when you wanted to be alone.
Lydia sat at a red light for a few minutes, she could easily just turn around and go back to school or ignore the feeling of it being unnatural and be alone. After the car behind her honked their horn Lydia decided to keep on driving to the cliff.
A lot of things in her life were unnatural anyway.

You parked your car in front of the McCall house with a sigh. Lydia looked over at you and grabbed one of your hands that was holding onto the steering wheel tightly. "Are you okay Y/N?" Lydia asked, using her other hand to turn your head towards her.
"I just didn't get a lot of sleep last night," you lied, hoping that she wouldn't be able to tell. If you told her about Theo, there was no telling what would happen afterwards. The last thing you wanted was to lose Lydia.
Lydia frowned,"Bad dream?"
You shook your head and intertwined your hand with hers,"I think the fact that we're all leaving here is finally starting to get real to me. I guess I'm worried we're going to end up losing touch,"
Lydia leaned over and gave you a soft but passionate kiss,"We're leaving Beacon Hills. Not each other,"
"I love you," you smiled at her afterwards.
Lydia smiled," I love you too. Now come on let's get this pack meeting started." She decided not to mention how she heard a scratching noise.
