It was a quiet night and you and Derek were sitting around the dinner table having a nice meal.
"Der, have you heard from the others recently?" you asked your boyfriend.
"Scott and the others?" he asked back.
"Yeah, we haven't seen them lately which is weird" you said to him.
"No, I haven't seen them either but it's not like I'm going to go out of my way to see him" he responded.
"Derek, be nice" you warned him.
"I'm a grown man, I can say and do whatever I want" Derek said to you. You raised your eyebrows and gave him a nasty look, "Don't test me" you told him.
"Y/N, DEREK WE HAVE TO GO" Scott said, rushing into the loft without ringing the doorbell or knocking first. Allison, Stiles, Lydia and Isaac were with him. They all came storming in.
"Geez, how about some privacy" said Derek.
"This is so weird, we were just saying how we haven't seen you in a while" you told the pack.
"We need to go, now" Scott ordered.
"Hold up, what's going on?" Derek asked.
"My dad said that there are these new creatures in town that are going after random children at night" Allison spoke up.
"You're kidding" Derek replied.
"No, it's true" said Stiles.
"We aren't coming with you to fight these new creatures" Derek told them.
"Derek, yes we are" you replied to him.
"No we aren't. We are going to stay home and finish our dinner" he said.
"I'm going with them" you told Derek.
"No, you aren't" he replied.
"Derek Hale, stop this. We are going to help them, they need us" you said.
"They don't. They're going up against people who steal little children, they don't need us" Derek responded to you.
You took a deep breath and tried not letting your anger get to you.
"I don't care what you say, I'm going with them!" you shouted to Derek.
"No Y/N! You aren't" Derek shouted back.
"Why do you have to be such a jerk?" you asked Derek.
"A jerk? I'm not a jerk, you're just stubborn. I'm trying to protect you!" Derek replied.
"Where is this creature?" you asked your friends.
"Hanging around the school" Isaac responded.
"We need to go now" Allison said.
"You can, I'm not" Derek responded to her. You looked at Derek and gave him the meanest look you could think of.
"Derek Hale, let's go" you demanded. Derek looked at you straight in the eyes and sternly told you, "No." You got up from your sit and walked towards him.
"Do not tell me no" you hissed at him.
"I just did" Derek replied.
"You are not going Y/N and that is final" Derek added.
"Derek, you are so controlling sometimes" you yelled to him.
Your friends were watching your argument with Derek go down, their heads turned every time the other person talked. "Should we interject?" Lydia asked the others. "No, this is fun to watch" Stiles replied. "We really need to get going" Allison said. "No, shh. Wait a minute" Isaac responded.
The argument between you and Derek was getting heated pretty quickly the two of you were raising your voices and throwing your arms around in angst. You hated when Derek got overprotective of you and controlling. Who was he to make all the decisions for you? You were a grown woman who wanted to help, how was that a bad thing?
"I'm the man of this house and I am ordering you to stay here" Derek sternly said to you.
"The man of the house? Really Derek? The man of the house?" you asked him.
"Yeah, you heard me" he responded.
"Derek, you're pathetic" you mumbled.
"What was that?" he asked.
"You. Are. Pathetic" you said, slowly stating each word.
Derek stared at you and he was getting agitated.
"If you leave this house, you will suffer the consequences" Derek told you.
"YOU ARE NOT THE ALPHA OF ME" you yelled, sounding like a little child. You folded your arms across your chest and pouted.
Everyone started cracking up, Stiles was basically crying, Allison and Lydia tried not to laugh and everyone else was laughing hysterically
"What are you idiots laughing at?" you asked them.
"You" Derek answered.
"You sound like a little child, "You're not the boss of me" Stiles mocked.
"Well he isn't!" you shouted to them.
"Calm down, relax. It's funny" Isaac said to you.
You gave everyone in that room the evil eye and walked towards the front door. "I'll just go myself" you told them.
"Y/N, don't you dare" Derek shouted to you. You turned to look at him, smirked and said, "Watch me." You walked out of the loft and headed to your car. You were going to be the hero, finally because all your friends were too busy laughing at you.
You heard everyone run after you, "Y/N, don't!" you heard Derek yell. You got into your car and rushed to the school, you were definitely going over the speed limit but you didn't care. You were going to prove to Derek that he wasn't in charge of you, that you made your own decisions.
Once you got to the school you ran out of your car and booked it into the school. In the hallway were two creatures, not werewolves, not something you had seen before with a child.
"Hey, dummies" you said to the creatures. You had all this adrenaline in your system and you didn't hesitate, you started approaching the creatures. They stared at you and sized you up.
"Leave that kid alone" you yelled. The creatures looked back and the child and licked their lips. You started running towards them now, the one grabbed your wrist and started twisting it. You kicked your leg up and kicked the creature, your wrist was released from its grip. You clenched your fists and punched the same creature in the face.
"Y/N STOP" Derek yelled when he came into the school with the others. "I got this" you hissed at him.
Scott, Derek and Isaac shifted into their wolf forms and started going after the creatures. "I had this" you yelled to your friends.
"Step back" Derek told you.
"No Derek, I won't" you said back.
You were really mad that they came here to "rescue" you. You didn't need rescuing, you weren't anything supernatural but you knew how to fight. You weren't stupid.
Scott and Isaac seemed to be doing a good job of beating up the creatures so you lunged for Derek.
"What the hell are you doing?" Derek asked you as you jumped on top of him, knocking him over and holding him to the ground.
"You are not the alpha of me" you hissed at him.
"No, I'm not. Clearly" Derek replied. Derek had shifted back into his human form.
"Stop being overprotective" you said to him.
"I'll try not to be" he mumbled.
You got off of him and looked around the hallway. The creatures were gone, the kid was gone and it was just you, Stiles, Isaac, Derek and Scott.
"Where did they go?" you asked.
"They ran away" Isaac responded.
"The boy?" you asked.
"Allison and Lydia took him home" said Scott.
Derek got up from the ground and smirked at you, but you were still mad at him. "Wipe that smirk off your face" you snarled at him. Derek laughed, "Derek, I mean it."
"You can be my alpha" he whispered in your ear.
"Derek this is not the time to talk dirty to me" you told him.
"That was hot" he said to you. You tried not to smile but you couldn't help it.
"Yeah?" you asked him.
"For sure" Isaac whispered.
Derek snapped his head and gave him a glare, "Sorry" Isaac mouthed.
"I'm sorry I'm so overprotective but if it means that you get this angry, kick some ass and look sexy, then I might do it even more" Derek teased.
"Please don't" you begged.
"You're not the alpha of me" Derek said, mocking you.
"Shut up" you told him, giving him a playful slap on the arm.
"Damn, she's good" you heard Stiles said.
"Yeah and she's all mine!" Derek warned the guys.
"All mine" he said again.
