Even though Lydia is my older sister I still hang out with the rest of her friends.
It all started when Stiles tried desperately to get notice by her but she would just ignore him or blow him off. I would be there for him, which lead us to become friends, which is how I became friends with Scott and soon the rest of the group.
Once we got home from school I went to the bathroom and stood outside the door as I watched her, back turned to me slowly closing her door like she didn't want anyone to hear her.
"What are you doing?" I question.
She whips around, surprised to see me even though I was just talking to her minutes ago.
"Just heading out." she says walking past me, heading for the stairs.
"Are you meeting Stiles and Scott?"
She stops but doesn't look at me "No. I'm going to In and Out. I'm hungry and I don't feel like making anything."
She begun to walk down the stairs as I crossed my arms over my chest. That's a new one I thought. The usual excuse is 'I'm going to a party' or 'going to a study group.'
"Can I come with you?" I ask her.
"NO!" She says a bit too quickly and panicked.
"Alright, fine." I say going into my room and closing my door.
I always tell myself that she probably just needs a little space, plus it must be hard having your little sister as a part of your friend group.
I text Brett asking if he could come over. I lay on my bed with my eyes close waiting for a responds back.
I met Brett when he wouldn't stop staring at me during the first game between his team and mine.
I remember Liam telling me not to even think about it when he saw us 'eyeing' each other, as he called it.
I roll my eyes asking "When did you become my mother Dunbar?"
"I'm just looking out for you Y/n." I look back at the field to see Brett smirking while putting on his jersey.
I pat his knee as I stand up "I'll take my chances." I walk over to sit next to Lydia and Malia, not wanting to argue with him anymore.
That night Brett asked me out and told me he wasn't all that dangerous and Liam just doesn't like him.
Thinking back on it, its funny how Brett knew what Liam said, like he was listening in on what we were saying.
Some people in the group weren't so happy with me dating Brett, I ask Stiles Tonight was the night, it was my first full moon. I was bit about a week ago and I was having a lot of problems with my anger recently and to say I'm concerned about this full moon would be a complete understatement. I was at the lacrosse game tonight because I wanted to come support the team. I didn't think the moon would have such a great affect on me as early as it did. I winced in pain and decided I needed to get away from the crowd. I stumbled over towards the locker room. I was already breathing heavily and I could feel my claws coming out. I started freaking out. Then I heard a voice calling my name.
"Y/n? Y/n! Are you okay?" Theo Raeken's voice filled my ears.
"Theo?" I said roughly, through gritted teeth.
"Is this your first?" he asked me and I nodded.
"Okay well just listen to my voice okay? Only my voice. Think about something you love, something that can keep you human." When my fangs came out it was clear that wasn't working.
"Y/n, listen to me. You're stronger than this. Don't let it control you. You control your wolf, he doesn't control you. Remember that. Now focus on my voice. Think of something that makes you happy, something that makes you feel invincible." I could feel my ears turning.
"Theo! Help!" My voice sounded very deep.
"Hell." he stared at me for a moment before he spoke again but it was in a whisper. "This better work." before I could process anything he walked towards me and grabbed my face in his hands then he pressed his lips against mine. I took me a few moments to kiss back but when I did I felt myself gaining control. I felt my claws sink, my fangs disappear, and my ears turn back to normal.
"Thank god that worked. How embarrassing would be if it hadn't." Theo chuckled nervously.
"Well thank you for helping me. I'm afraid of what would've happened if you hadn't been here."
"I'll always be here when you need me." he smiled making me smile.
"Before I go I want to try one more thing." I ran up and kissed him again, expect this time he wrapped his arms around my waist not letting me go and my arms drifted up to his neck where they stayed.
After that Theo helped me out with my full moons until I gained control which didn't take to long with his advice and 'help'. and he told me I was like the baby of the pack.
"That doesn't make sense." I tell him, "Liam and Mason are a year younger then me."
"Yeah but your like my sister."
I roll my eyes and tell him I'm still going to date Brett even if they weren't happy about it.
