You Can't Trust Anyone (Sequel to So THIS is Love)

Chapter 30

Sam." I say. "Can we go talk in private?"

"Um yeah, sure." Sam says.

We walk away from the others and sit under a palm tree.

"Look Sam, I would love to marry you but-"

"But what?" Sam asks with a rather sad looking face.

"We are teenagers. There is no way this is gonna work out, not now. Its unrealistic. But I'm not saying I don't want it to it's just hard to explain." I say.

"We can make it work out! Im willing to do anything! I love you Sadie. I want to be with you, and only you. Forever." He says.

"But what about school, and a house? How are we gonna afford a house being teenagers, plus we don't even have jobs-"

"That doesn't matter. If we love each other then what's the point of waiting?"

"Because we have to work out the details!" I say.

"We can do that later." Sam says.

"But how are we gonna get married without our families flipping out?"

"Let's do it now!"

"Get married now? Like tonight? In Hawaii?"

"Let's do it tomorrow night!"

"I can't believe this." I say.

"Sadie, please!" Sam says.

"I can't believe this. But, I have always wanted my wedding to be on a beach."

"I'll tell the boys!" Sam says and runs out to the boys.

I watch him run to the fire pit.

"I didn't even say yes." I say.

(NEXT DAY) (about 5:30 p.m.)

"Aren't you so excited?" Andrea asks me with enthusiasm as she curls my hair.

"I didn't say yes."

"What?" Andrea asks with confusion.

"I didn't say yes."

"So you aren't excited?"

"I didn't say yes to Sam." I say quietly.

"What do you mean you didn't say yes to him?"

"He was so excited he just went back and told everyone without me saying yes."

"You're still gonna marry him right?"

I stay silent.

"Sadie, you need to tell him."

"I can't. Can't I just marry him and pretend it never happened?"

"Well are you sure that you want to?"

"No. Well yes. But no. Not now."

"Sadie! You need to tell him now!"

"I can't, that's the thing. I love him too much to not know if he will let me go if I tell him I'm not ready."

"He proposed to you! He thinks he is marrying you tonight. Go tell him!"

I dial Sam.

"Hey Sadie!" He says with great enthusiasm. That just made this so much harder.

"Hi Sam, can you meet me on the beach in five?"

"Yeah, sure! I can't wait to see you!"

"See you then." I say as I hang up the phone.

I slide on some shoes and leave the room.

I meet Sam under a palm tree he is already waiting at.

"Sam-"

"Sadie you look beautiful."

"Thank you Sam,-"

"I'm so excited to finally have the girl that I love for the rest of my life. I love you so much and I never will let you go."

I blush and smile.

"So what did you want to meet for?" Sam asks.

I panic.

"I just wanted to see you!" I say.

Shit. I can't do this to him.

"We'll go get ready!" Sam says.

"Bye." I say as he gives me a kiss.

I walk back to my room and immediately go to Andrea.

"I couldn't tell him!" I say.

"Sadie! What are you gonna do?"

"I'm just gonna do it."

"But you don't want to."

"I'm just gonna suck it up, because I love him."

Andrea helps me get my dress on and we get ready to head downstairs to the wedding.

We walk down to the beach and I see the beautiful set up and the sun starting to fall.

Everyone is sitting down and Connor and Andrea switch places.

"Thanks for escorting me." I say to Connor as Andrea goes to sit down.

"Anything for my best friend."

"Anything?"

"Anything."

"Then tell me why I shouldn't run from the altar right now."

"What?"

"Just tell me."

"Well because you love Sam, you've stayed with him through everything and he loves you, he won't let you go without putting up a fight."

The music starts playing and Connor walks me down the aisle. We reach the end and Connor takes a seat. JC then presents the rings and they are put on each of us.

"Does anyone have a reason for Sadie and Sam to not be wed?" The preacher says.

"I object!"
