Chapter 21: Birthday

* Thomas' POV *

Two weeks had passed since the night we went to the cinema and it was finally Alice's birthday. I had got the girls to help me decorate a room we hired in a restaurant. We put blue, pink and green fabrics over the walls and ribbons. Then, we got the dance floor ready with the DJ, the tables covered in glitter and flower ornaments, and the lace decorated cakes placed next to the large pile of presents. I quickly got dressed and had one hour left before picking Alice up so I made a little surprise in the garden outside of the restaurant.

The alibi I had given Alice so that she would dress up was that I was taking her to a fancy restaurant, which was partly true, apart from the fact that it was for a big surprise party.

After I had finished with everything, I took a taxi to Alice's house then knocked on her door. When she opened it, I almost fell to the floor in shock of how amazing she looked.

"...Alice...wow."

Her hair was curled and had a blue flower in it that matched her dress, which was also blue and covered in white lace. I could tell that Penny and Olivia had made sure she wore that dress so it matched the decor of the room we hired and the cake. The dress wrapped around her body beautifully and her white heels made her the same height as me. As I looked at her face, I saw that her eye shadow was blended, her eyelashes were longer, and her eyeliner flicked at the end so her glistening blue eyes looked even more big and wonderful. Her blusher made her cheek bones more prominent and her light pink lips looked shiny and soft.

I couldn't help but lift her up in my arms and kiss her gentle lips.

"You look absolutely beautiful."

"Aw thank you."

"I can't believe your my girlfriend, hey, have you ever thought about being a model because you could totally pull it off."

"Thomas, I think that's enough of the flattery for one night." She softly blushed.

"You look cute when you blush."

"Well I disagree, now come on, let's get in the taxi."

She giggled and walked forward to where the car was parked at the side of the road.

"So where are you taking me?"

"To a restaurant."

"What type of restaurant?"

"A nice one."

"Wow Thomas, loving the details there."

"Yup."

She rolled her eyes and looked out of the window while holding my hand.

Once we got to the restaurant she turned to me in surprise.

"Thomas this place is really expensive!"

"It's your birthday so I'm allowed to spend money on you."

"N-"

I quickly kissed her on the lips to make her quiet.

I took her hand and led her to a seat under a tree at the side of the restaurant.

"Aren't we going inside?"

"Yes but I want to give you something first."

I pulled out a medium sized box covered in wrapping paper and handed it to her. She pulled the paper off and opened the box.

*  Alice's POV  *

When I lifted the lid of the box, I saw a a pair of earrings and a necklace sparkling like crystals in the sun light. They looked like they were made of real diamonds when I inspected them.
