"Oh, Bella, do you remember when we told you we were vampires?" Carlisle asked me. "Do you remember? Think."
I thought back to when they told me.

FLASHBACK

"But there's one more thing... it's a secret you must know and not tell anyone about if you are to come and live with us," Esme looked uncomfortable. "Well, you see..." she looked toward Carlisle for help.
"Me and my family are vampires," he finished.
I froze. Are they going to drink my blood?
"Are... you gonna..." I looked down shyly. "Drink my blood?"
"Of course not!" Esme immediately exclaimed, as if the whole idea were offensive. "We drink animal blood, you see."
"You hurt... animals?"
"We drink from animals so as not to hurt humans," Carlisle jumped in. "But now it's time for you to take your medicine."

END OF FLASHBACK

"I do," I spoke up finally after untangling myself from my messy memories.
"Well, vampires can't cry, well, not properly. We dry sob, our eyes get a little watery but we have no tears," Carlisle explained.
"Oh," I said.
There was an awkward silence before I spoke again. "Do vampires have to go to the bathroom?"
Carlisle sighed. "No."
"Then why do you have bathrooms?"
"We have to remain inconspicuous," Edward butted in before Carlisle could answer. "And of course, you need a toilet."
I blushed at that not so subtle reminder.
"I-I-I'm so s-s-sorry!" Esme stuttered.
"It's okay, Mommy," I hugged her hard, even though she was hard as rock and it hurt.

THE NEXT WEEK
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
"Wake up, sweetie, time for school!" a soft voice sang, waking me up.
"Nggh," I grunted as I rolled over lazily.
"Come on, Alice said you'll have a lot of new friends and be really popular!" Esme encouraged me.
I bolted upright. "Really?"
"Yes - but not if you're late! If you are, I will be too!"
That got me out of bed. I rolled down, and zipped as fast as I could around the room to brush my teeth, comb my hair, put on some perfume (Alice forced me as she walked in), and get dressed in my best.
Once we were all ready, Esme drove me to school.
The school was larger than my old crumbly one, and all the more fancier. Esme took me in and practically dragged me in. I squealed and tried to keep up, and that made Esme slow down slightly.
"Sorry, are you, okay, sweetie?" she apologised.
"I'm fine," I flashed her a bright fake smile.
Just then, we entered the office. It was an overly heated small box-like room, not unlike my old haunting one. I shivered at the unpleasant memories.
"I'm Esme Cullen, a teacher, and this is Bella Cullen, a new student," she informed the staring receptionist.
"Oh, ah yes," he stuttered. "I'm Mr Bifold. These are your schedules, and these are your room keys, Ms Cullen."
"Mrs Cullen," Esme corrected him.
"Oh, yes, Mrs Cullen."
"Thank you," Esme lead me out of the hot, stuffy room.
"This is the classroom," she told me as we approached a brightly painted door with a window in the middle.
Just then, the bell rang. Esme hurried inside, taking me with her. The inside of the classroom was similar to Carlisle, but more drab with a lot more chairs. Seems like I might enjoy school this year!

I was gonna end it there, but that would be evil. ^_^

There was a moment of pause before a wave of people all stumbled into the room at once. There were more boys than girls, I realised. And about thirty people in total.
"Hello, guys! I'm your teacher, Mrs Cullen, but call me Esme," Esme raised her soft, sweet voice slightly to be heard. "Stop! You can sit anywhere you like."
Everyone immediately stopped pushing and shoving and scrambled to get the best seats. I strolled casually to a seat in the middle, and two girls sat next to me. I relaxed when I saw they were smiling at me.
"Hello," the one on my right said.
She had pretty blue eyes and shining curly blond hair.
"I'm Tiffani," she added.
"Hey," the one on my left said.
She also had blond hair and jade green eyes.
"I'm Emma," she grinned.
"Wanna be best friends?" they asked me in unison.
"Of course!" I smiled at them. "I'm Bella."
"Alright, everyone!" Esme spoke softly, but everyone seemed to hear. "I know that some of you are shy, so I won't make you introduce yourself to the class. Instead, turn to your partners - or talk in a three - and tell them about you."
I turned to Emma and Tiffani. "Um... Well, I love watching cartoons and having my family read books to me. I also have a ridiculously huge closet that my sister Alice forced me to have."
They both chuckled.
"Well, I have two small dogs at home, I love animals, and I also love crafting. I, unlike you, have a pretty small closet," Tiffani laughed.
"I am probably the typical girl, I guess. I live in a normal sized house, not too over rich, blah blah blah, and yeah," Emma sighs self-deprecatingly.
"Aw, come on, I bet you are awesome," me and Tiffani said together.
We giggled. Just then, the door opened and Edward walked in. My mouth fell open. So did Tiffani and Emma's, although I guess for different reasons to mine.

Hey guys! I wanted to make it longer, but you have waited long enough ^_^. I hope you enjoyed this ridiculously long chapter! I would love some of your ideas for this story. Comment!
