I didn't learn about my fear of airplanes until I was strapped in and the plane was beginning to take off. What did I do? Panic. I started hyperventilating.
"Bella?" Edward asked, fear striking his features.
"I h-h-hate planes," I gasped.
"Bella. Bella. Look at me," Carlisle leaned over and took control. "You're fine. Take a deep breath."
"I c-c-can't!" I stuttered.
It wasn't until I was more than halfway through the flight that I started to calm down and relax.
"There," Edward smiled, pleased.
Suddenly, the plane hit some turbulence, making me panic again.
"A-a-aaaah!" I cried, shaking with fear.
"Shhh, Bella, you're fine," Edward pulled me against his chest, rocking me softly.
"N-no," I sobbed, seeing my parents and Sarah die all over again.
I didn't calm down again until the plane finally landed and I was standing on solid ground.
"FINALLY!" I yelled, punching the air.
The family chuckled. Jasper started jumping up and down too.
"Calm down, Bella," Emmett laughed. "You're setting Jasper off."
Oops. I'd forgotten about Jasper's ability. I rummaged through my backpack until I found my phone, took a selfie with the plane and posted it on Instagram.
"Posting again?" Alice teased. "For who, a special boy?"
I blushed. "No!"
Everyone laughed.
"Come on, let's go," Carlisle announced before walking to the nearest gate.
And of course, I had to trip at least twice before I made it.

Once all the boring immigration stuff was done, we walked outside to find Carlisle's Mercedes waiting outside.
"Wha-?" I gasped.
"Oh, I had it shipped here," Carlisle shrugged. "Let's go to our new home."
I jumped in, breathed in the familiar scent of leather, and waited patiently while all 8 people jostled for space. Carlisle and Esme sat at the front, I sat on Edward, Rose on Emmett and Alice in Jasper.
"Bella, you can take a short nap. It's about 1 and a half hours to our new home," Carlisle mentioned.
I smiled in delight, burrowed my face into Edward's neck and fell asleep.
