Being Too Serious

I've been into K-pop for over two years now. I've made a lot of friends, learned many things, and I've enjoyed myself. Whether you guys believe or not, I actually am pretty chill, at least for this last year I have been. I just like to enjoy stuff.

But then you got fucking fans with no sense of enjoyment.

Now, I get it. K-Pop is so damn stressful. Especially these last two years with so much needless drama, and with fans being annoying little shits most of the time. I think every fandom this year has pissed me off at one point or another. Especially the damn Seventeen fandom, I swear to God I'm going to murder all these little damn shits. I've never gotten so tired of being in a fandom more than this one.

But regardless, I can still see the positive in k-pop. The music is great, the group's I like make me laugh, I get to talk to my k-pop friends, I get to see a lot of cool things fans made, and it still gives me joy.

Recently though I feel everyone is so negative, like holy shit. I was on this blog on Tumblr, it was an anonymous confession blog where you can make opinions on this blog anonymously. One person sent in pretty much what I am saying now. To not always focus on the negatives and to remember why we like k-pop.

And one person replied with something along the lines with, " Yeah, and ignore all the racism and homophobia in k-pop? Yeah, no thanks, we need to fix these problems."

...bitch can you read?

First of all, we aren't saying to ignore stuff like racism and homophobia, you fucking twat. But to not be so negative and stressed out all the time, it's not that hard. Second of all, if you want to fix these problems, you are in the wrong place. First of all, you should probably not try to solve that through fucking Korean pop music. Maybe, I don't know, fucking politics? Third of all, why are you still into k-pop? It shouldn't make you so negative and stressed, and if you can't find any positives, you need to go, honestly. And bitch, please remember to put a little bit more sugar and a little less piss in your damn Cheerios in the morning.

I'm just wondering, if you find no enjoyment out of it, why are you still in it? If you can't get away you need to slowly withdraw yourself and try new things. K-Pop should not be a "lifestyle". If you want to spend the rest of your life on a grungy website gawking at Korean men and women, be my guest. But I won't be there with you. There will be a day where we all fall out of K-Pop and it's just a good distant memory. K-Pop is not a bad thing overall. But fans need to stop being so toxic and negative and just enjoy while they are still into it. It's just music.
