One thing I hate is how the Korean media reacts to some things K-pop idols do. The Korean Media makes such a big deal out of these people, it's kind of sad really.
Ok, so we all know everyone has a private life. We have secrets we keep, because they are personal. As the K-Drama Boys Over Flowers puts it, you can't know a person %100. And I agree with that. I have personal things, you have personal things, I don't know anyone 100 percent.
But the media just scoffs at this silly line! Of coarse you can know people 100 percent, just track their everyday life and judge all their thoughts and actions, problem solved! Personal life? Pffffffft. Those are sooo 2013. It's now 2014 bitches, where the public life, is the new life.
Guys, no. Just no. Everybody gets a personal life, I don't care if they are famous or not, it's practically a basic human right. Korean Media doesn't exactly understand that though.
One thing I've noticed in Korea, is that stars publicly apologize...for dating. Fucking dating. Famous people have gotten death threats, harassment, negative comments, rude people, etc. Ok, this needs to stop. Do YOU apologize for dating someone? And before that one FUCKING person comments yes, is it normal to do? Exactly.
It's their lives, not yours. People date each other, the horror!
" Omg, G-Dragon is dating that slut what's her name, G-Dragon Oppa is MINE!! WAHHH WAHHH."
He's not YOURS, thank you very much. It's his life, let him do what he wants with it. His job is to sing and perform, not to marry you. And this also goes for Sulli, Baekyun, Taeyon, Sungmin, Jessica, etc. They are people, not puppets that do your bidding.
And is it just me, or do K-Pop fans take things way to seriously.
Let me give you normal reactions of fans to two different types of news.
" North Korea threatens South Korea."
Reaction: Oh great this again, ( sigh) I'm getting some pizza.
" Taeyon reported to be dating Baekyun."
Reaction: OMG. OMG. SOMEBODY, GET ME A MEDIC, I AM NOT BREATHING RIGHt. HOLY SHIT, THEY ARE DATING?! SOMEBODY CALL THE POLICE, I AM FREAKING OUT, AHHHHHHHH.
True, nobody ( at least in South Korea) gives a damn anymore when North Korea threatens South Korea anymore, but when dating news comes out, it's a hot mess. You are kind of overreacting about someone dating aren't you? It's not the end of the world.
Also, one more thing. Is it just me, or do K-Pop stars have...you know...ABSOLUTELY NO PRIVACY OR SECURITY?!
This is one thing I would want for Korea to change. Like hell am I getting near Beyoncé, but I could easily get to SNSD, or 2PM, or Vixx, or anybody in the industry. If people can get into your houses and dorms, don't ya think you should bump up the security just a little bit?
Especially with the problems of Sasaeng Fans, they should have even more security than American artists. People in America know we ain't touching these people or we are in deep shit. In the k-pop industry though this theory doesn't seem to exist! Like, bro, buddy, amigo, you don't just break into someone's house, or touch them when you please. It's called personal space.
Also there are always cameras everywhere they go. Bitch please they don't want you filming their documentaries. In their dorms? Camera! Out in public? Camera! In an airport! Fucking Camera! Seriously, we know more about these people than directioners know about 1D. And they know a lot guys O_o.
Vote if you think we should bump up the security and privacy these people get. Also that people should calm the heck down when news comes out about stars.
