Oh shut up now and listen to my reasoning! Yes, I don't like Aegyo themes in K-Pop, but I have reasons, which I shall now share with you.

I do not see the point in doing an aegyo theme. What kind of audience are you trying to attract? Because I can guarantee people like sexy more than cute. This is the society we live in, most people I know don't want cute, but aggressive and sexy. Myself included.

A good example of this is Boyfriend, the first video and song I heard was Obsession, and I liked it. It was aggressive, in your face, dark, I love this concept. So the next video I clicked on was Boyfriend by Boyfriend.

I dislike that song and video. Why?

Because after seeing Obsession, I was wanting to see more of this concept. Instead I got cheesy boys smiling while wearing all white and trying to act all cutesy.

Just think about it. The first video starts with abs, a cooler setting, and a more interesting song. The second song starts with a cheesy forced smile and a wink ( bleh) the sets and dancing are not as interesting, at least to me, and it's just kind of sounds childish. ( They redeemed themselves with Witch though. Good song, go check it out.)

I mean, can you imagine Vixx going aegyo?!

Be honest now, how many of you actually enjoyed the video where Shinee tried to be 1D.

Exactly.

I have only liked one aegyo song and video ever, and that was Gee Gee Gee by SNSD. The rest can go die off.

I don't see the point, your not attracting anyone to your music honestly. How many people do you know who says this is their music taste?

" Well I love cute and colorful music where there's bunnies and rainbows and candy! Yippee!"

Now except for that troll over there, I'm guessing all of you said no.

I do like crazy fun stuff, I love the song Lollipop by 2NE1 and Big Bang, I also like Crayon by GD. But they aren't trying to be cute and fluffy.

I personally like darker themes. I grew up around darker themes. I listened to rock and my brother listened to metal. So you can imagine my transition from loud guitars and screaming to cute songs and colorful worlds and...I still have trouble sometimes wrapping my head around it honestly.
