I fucking hate this word. With a passion. What's worse is if I move to SK, I'll have to call people this (cries).
I hate the word Oppa. And I never call anyone this. I don't have THAT much respect for my brother and my two guy friends you know. Like, why can't we have a cooler name to call older males? Like hyung and unni? Urgh, it's irks me so much!
You always sound like a whiny bitch when you use it. I don't care about your nationality, your accent, your race, your going to sound like someone whining for help. I cringe every single time I hear this damn word. I don't know why but it infuriates me.
Why do we get the short end of the stick? Noona isn't to bad, but Oppa....I've always hated how it sounded, it just sounds whiny when anyone says it. Also kind of endearing, which is kind of fucking creepy when you have to say it to a person you just met. I can't tolerate this word at all.
I actually kind of hate this whole system really. Yeah I know it's out of respect and shit, but it also practically becomes part of your name if someone is younger than you. And there's really nothing you can do about it. The only one I truly like is Sunbae. The rest can just go die.
