Sonic feel asleep on the balcony he was dreaming, the room was completely filled with clouds they changed from red to other colors. Sonic looked around, "Where am I?" Sonic asked, "Sonic" called someone, "Huh who?" Sonic looked around. "Sonic" Zeus appeared, "Zeus!" Sonic ran to him and hugged his legs, "Hello Sonic I see you, Shadow, and Shade have done your mission" said Zeus, Sonic giggled "Yup" he nod. "But I want you all to stay here for a while I don't want to take you back too soon to Olympus, it can be risky" said Zeus, "Ohhh" said Sonic, "Don't worry you will be able to come home but I want you to wait this village might need your help, I want you to learn about the mortals and protect this kingdom can you do that?" Zeus asked, "Yes" said Sonic smiling. "Good but also be careful Hades will do anything to get in the way so keep your eyes pilled" said Zeus as he disappeared. Sonic was being petted on the the head, he groan a little and looked up at the king "Oh King Gerald how long have I been asleep?" sonic asked, "A long time it seems like you didn't sleep at all last night" he said. Sonic sat up, "It looks like we will be staying here longer" said Sonic, "That's great" the king was glad because of that but Sonic smiled back just to not make him feel bad. Tails was looking at everyone who was decorating for the festival that night, Tails was just not feeling himself he felt sad. He hugged his legs and leaned against the tree, "Stupid festival ... All I want is to be your friend" Tails said. He looked up at the sky he got up and went to the village and looked around, Sonic got out of the castle he looked for Shadow and Shade. Sonic saw Tails he looked sad from the distance it was noticeable, Sonic checked on the castle's back yard. And there he saw them, Sonic walked over to them "Shadow, Shade I need to have a word with you" said Sonic taking them apart. Sonic explained everything to them, "I see it looks like Zeus has another plan or is he just trying to avoid a disaster" said Shade, "I don't know but we better keep our eyes pilled it's like he said Hades can do the unthinkable to get what he wants" said Shadow.

Sonic nod, "By the way I though Tails was going to stay here for a while with you Shade?" Sonic asked, "Well he didn't" said Shade, "Tails left after Shade treated him harshly" said Shadow. "What but why?" Sonic asked, "He is nothing but a young boy all he does is bother me" said Shade, "You... Your such a stubborn god!" Sonic exploded, Shadow and Shade looked at him surprise, "I have my limits too you know! You don't know how to appreciate those who care for you, the day Tails is not around to show his kindness to you, you will regret every time you could spend together gone" said Sonic. Shade just raised a eye brow, "Tails doesn't deserve to be sad because of you, now I will be going to him and give him what your so selfish to give" said Sonic. Those words hit Shade hard Sonic had sculled him hard, "You know he was right" said Shadow as he walked away. Sonic went to the village to meet up with Tails they walked and talked for a while, "So you thinking of coming the festival?" Sonic asked, "I don't know maybe I'll stay home" said Tails. "What about you?" Tails asked, "I have my own plans at night, after we can't return to Olympus after a while" said Sonic, "I don't know why Sonic, you didn't at first seem upset she you were here?" Tails said, "I'm not upset because I have to stay here Tails I would love to stay but I have this feeling like... I'm missing something I have something back at home and gives me more motives to go back than to stay here" said Sonic. Tails lowered his ears, "I know it makes you feel homesick but maybe it won't be that long before you know it you will be back at your home" said Tails. "you think?" Sonic asked, "I know plus I'll come visit you every single day I promise" said Tails. Sonic hugged him, "Thanks Tails your so sweet" said Sonic, but still that night Sonic was in the roof of the castle. He watch down at the festival and saw how everyone got along and was having a great time. Sonic looked up in the sky and wonder how his parents were doing, "Hmm?" Sonic counted the stars and tried to made himself better by singing a little song.

Sonic looked at the stars and they seemed to lined up, they looked beautiful and then Sonic saw a shooting star he smiled. But that smiled fade away fast, "Oh" Sonic looked down. Someone was holding a rose close to him, Sonic saw the rose and looked up he saw Shadow holding it. "Huh?" Sonic grabbed the rose, "I know your upset but I don't ever want that smile to disappear" said Shadow. Sonic made a big smile he scotch over to Shadow and hugged him kissing his cheek, "Thank you" said Sonic blushing. Shadow held him close, "Your welcome" he said staring into the night with Sonic. Sonic felt happy with Shadow holding him, he just wanted to be like that for as long as he could. Tails on the other hand was in his room, he was doing what is seemed was reading some books Tails didn't knew what to do much at a time so he read. Till someone knocked on his window, Tails looked over at it, he saw no one and opened it he saw a purple rose and with a note that said "To my brother" Tails smiled with tears of joy he knew who it was from.

As the young gods waited patiently time pass by quicker than they though, it had only been 20 years and they were still waiting. The thing was Sonic, Shadow, and Shade didn't age one but though it was normal because they were gods so they don't age quickly. They watch as their friends aged day by day, Sonic always spend most of his days with the king, the twin gods spend time with the twins of the king. Tails always visit the young gods he even had a daughter who he had called Penelope. But time wasn't feeling generous for anyone, 65 years had passed. Sonic, Shadow, and Shade were at Tails's house, "Father please hold on" said Penelope, Sonic watch sadly how their friend was slowly slipping away, "It's..... Alright Penelope" said Tails. Sonic went over to him, "Hello Tails... Are you feeling okay?" Sonic asked. "Yeah... You know how time takes us mortals" said Tails breathing deeply, "Yeah... But things will get better" said Sonic. "Where is Shade?" Tails asked, "He is .... Outside" said Sonic, "Give me time to speak with him alone please" said Tails. Sonic nod and went to get Shade. Shade went inside he was alone with Tails, "Hello Shade.... I'm sorry you have to see me this way" said Tails, Shade stared at him. "It's strange to see mortals fade away so quickly" said Shade, "Yes your still the same as always my friend....*cough* All we have is a short time compared to you, but sometimes those who live short time had so much to give" said Tails, Shade listen to Tails, "I thank you for all the times you spend with me, I know you were stubborn but behind that stubbornness you showed the most powerful emotion ... Caring, you won't be able to see me in a long time my friend but I'm sure I get to see you again some day" said Tails. Shade stared at the floor and looked over at Tails, "Thank you... For making me realize I .. have emotions like a mortal" said Shade. He remember all the times Tails was their even as a teen with his family and everything, he was surprise how all that would end so soon. "My time is almost finish *cough* I will miss all my family but once one generation dies a new one is born better and even stronger" said Tails, Shade eyes seemed to be filling up with tears, "Please take care of my grandchildren like as if they were me" said Tails he closed his eyes still breathing. He gave his final goodbyes to everyone, no one last forever, and they moved on with the lost of a friend. Sonic didn't wanted to stay he hated to see how his friends grew old and left by the years. Sonic was in the throne room worried, the king put his hand on Sonic's shoulder, "It's alright Sonic, it's just a circle of life we must follow" said king Gerald, "It's hard to forget" said Sonic. "I know Sonic but it's all a part of life, I know my time will be up soon too but life is that way for us" said Gerald, "Things come and go but the memory of that person lives on forever" said Gerald. Sonic smiled a little at him but he was still worried of would come, Shadow and Shade were in the yard alone. Shade punch the tree making it fall, "I have had enough!" Shade yelled, "Shade!" Shadow called him. "I have had enough! When is Zeus taking us back! We have waited already 85 years!" Shade yelled, "You already know we have wait" said Shadow, "I don't know ... Shade we have to be patient" said Shadow. "I'm tired waiting I don't want to spend years in this world I want to return to Olympus!" Shade yelled. Shadow realized something was happening to Shade he had like a dark red aura. "Shade?" Shadow asked going near him, Shade grabbed Shadow's shirt and threw Shadow on the ground making him crash into the fountain. Shadow got up, "Shade.... Shade what are you doing?" Shadow asked, "I'm tired of waiting.... I won't wait another minute" Shade wasn't himself and Shadow could notice that.

Sonic was still in the kings room, he touched his chest he had a weird feeling, "Shade...." Sonic couldn't help but worry. He quickly go up and bump with the kings legs, "Sonic what is the matter?" he asked, "It's Shade I feel that he is in trouble" said Sonic he quickly moved and ran outside they saw a big beam that crash down making a small explosion. Shadow was fighting against Shade, Sonic grabbed Shade by the neck and slammed him on the ground throwing a chaos spear at him. Shade got up and he shoot a electric beam at Shadow as well Shadow did the same making a small explosion. "Why are you fighting?!" Sonic asked, Shade went to Shadow giving him a big punch on the stomach, Shadow use his knee hitting his head pushing him away. Shade made a dark purple flame in his hands and shoot them at Shadow, Shadow blocked most but they still hit causing damage. Shadow used his yellow electric orb and threw it at Shade, "What's going on? stop!" Sonic yelled the ground started to shake making cracks and a green light came out from the grounds cracks. Shadow made a beam as well as Shade and shoot at the same time making the ground shake more and break, "What is happening why are they fighting they have to stop!" Kate said, "Something is wrong Shade never fights for no reason" said Keith. Shadow went to Shade and punch him more than one, Shade then kicked Shadow and threw a orb of darkness at Shadow. Shadow got hit but he moved fast and got behind Shade kicking him, "This is non-sense Shade we are fighting for nothing" said Shadow. Shade went to him and tried to punch him but Shadow blocked it, "Stop before you make the same mistake as before" said Shadow. Shade punch Shadow's face pushing him away, "Not another minute!" Shade yelled.
