  The unknown stars

"Everything is broken here" said Sonic as him and Dark were down on this bottom level of the castle. He saw that all the crystals had a different shape it seemed like someone had smash them many times. "What is this place?" Sonic asked Dark, "This use to be the current crystal castle about a generation back" said Dark. "A generation back?" Sonic ask he then notice that Dark's muzzle began to stream some blood. "Dark! Did you cut your self?" Sonic ask, "No" he said, "Don't lie to me!" Sonic went over to him and placed his hand inside his hood touching the blood from his cheek, "Your hurt let me heal you" said Sonic. Dark held onto his hood down not wanting Sonic to see him. Sonic lower one ear it still seemed so touchy for someone to see his face and so he began to heal Dark's wound on his cheek. "Thank you" he said, "Your welcome" Sonic smiled. "You know your smile is quiet unique and beautiful" said Dark, Sonic blush a bit looking down "Thanks" he said. Dark then turn to walk towards what seemed like a tunnel, "Like I was saying this use to be the current crystal castle which was created by someone else's dream" said Dark. "So someone before me created a castle just like this one?" Sonic ask, "Precisely here in this wall you may see everything explained, this is suppose to be carve in every single castle after that generation is over" said Dark as he lighted up the hidden message in the wall which were carvings in the crystals. "Care for me to explain them?" Dark ask, Sonic gaze over at Dark and nod. "Before you, Shadow, and Shade, there was a different kind of group of stars they were three the blue star, the brown star, and the pink star. Unlike you three mostly your stars represent the color of your fur but this represented the color of eyes since the three were blue hedgehogs. The brown star belonged to Jules, the pink star belonged to someone unknown, and the blue star belonged to Chuck" Dark explained. "Chuck? Could it be the same uncle Chuck?" Sonic thought, "Clearly the one who wish for this castle was Jules, Jules was known as Brown star as well. He was the nicest and gentle one in the group, he was known to be the God of kindness" said Dark revealing the image of Jules. "God of Kindness?" Sonic approach the image of the hedgehog that resembled him in ways as much as Chuck did. His smile is so simple and yet makes me want to smile" said Sonic. "Yes Jules had that effect it didn't happen how mean or evil the enemy was Jules always manage to find a way to turn them around maybe not in a instant but manage" said Dark as he continue to walk deeper, "What happen to him?" Sonic ask following Dark. "That part is unknown as you can see it wasn't carved in this place" said Dark, "What about pink star?" Sonic ask. Dark stopped and showed him the image next to the pink star which was scratch very badly with what seemed something with 4 claws. "Someone did this and ever since no one knew who pink diamond was, probably Zeus knows" said Dark, Sonic grab his arm making him stop "How do you know all this? And how come Zeus never told me about this past generation?" Sonic ask, Dark turn in a way to face him. "Zeus never had a intention to tell anyone ever since ..... Something bad happen" said Dark, "What exactly happen?" Sonic ask. "I can't tell you.... It's something so terrible, come we must find the source of this disaster" said Dark grabbing Sonic's hand and walking.

Knuckles gently glide down still holding onto Julie su, "Oh geez this place looks so red and deadly does it have a bottom?" Julie Su ask. "I'm pretty sure it does but it's better to be sure rather than not knowing at all" said Knuckles. As he keep floating down, Julie su could see the bottom and it seem to be a very bright red. "Wait stop! It's blood!" Julie su yelled, Knuckles looked down, "No it's not its the the reflection of all the red crystals" said Knuckles setting her down and he step on the water. "Egh!" Knuckles looked around and saw all the smash crystals, "This seems to be promising in a way" said Knuckles. Julie su walked around and bump into one of this crystals that seemed to move "AH!" Julie su went to Knuckles hiding behind him. "That thing is alive!" She yelled, Knuckles looked over it and got near and tap it as it began to move more. "It's best not to disturb this things who knows what they are capable of" said Knuckles. He walked away with Julie su through this little tunnel, "This place seems so strange it's like someone created it" said Julie su, "I know it's kinda creepy but with all I have face I'm not surprise" said Knuckles. "Oh so your the tough guy now?" She ask, "Hey at least I didn't coward away when I saw that diamond creature moved" said Knuckles. Julie su crossed her arms mad, "whatever" she said as she step on something and crouch down grabbing it "It's a stupid sharp crystal" said Julie su throwing it away as she then slip falling down. "Hey! Clumsy! Stop making a-" Knuckles gasp a few chaos emeralds drop from her bag. "What is this?" He madly grab them and snatch her bag away, "Hey give those back to me!" She yelled. "My wife this chaos emeralds how did you get them?!" Knuckles ask, "They were given to me by the GUN they said this things can protect us from the crystals" said Julie Su. "Hold on! hold on! this things can repel this kind of power? And they took probably the only source that can protect my wife and child away just by a stupid mission?!" He yelled. "Look it was not my doing?! If they were so precious to you and your wife you would have keep them away from GUN's reach" said Julie Su. Knuckles sigh deeply "I can't believe it I just can't believe it!" Knuckles punch the crystal hard as he can by anger and created a different tunnel. "Huh?" He blinked unaware of what he had done as strange noises began to come out of the strange tunnel. "What have you done?" She ask looking at the tunnel, "This way hurry!" He yelled grabbing her arm and running deeper into the tunnel escaping and ad far from that tunnel he had just created.

In Olympus Zeus was watching the events from his place. "Zeus!" He was called out, Zeus moved his image away and took another one showing him Shade who had seemed to be calling him. "Shade why have you called me?" Zeus ask, "I think you know pretty well why I am calling you, this disaster is something beyond a mortal can do" said Shade. "I am aware of that this seems familiar to something that has happened in the past" said Zeus, "You knew this would happen?" Shade asked. "I knew it was about to happen just not when, I tried to keep this a secret and sealed thinking it would never escape" said Zeus. "What are you talking about Zeus?" Shade ask, Zeus sigh deeply staring at Shade. "I can not tell you what has been keep a secret for so long... Not yet at least, but in a past generation before you three stars there were other three. One day one star vanish causing another star to corrupt and so it only took one star to cause a tragedy in the world" said Zeus, "So one died and what happen to the other one?" Shade ask, "The other tried to stop him but was unable so in the end I manage to seal the other one into a hidden place one that none in the world would be able to access him" said Zeus. "Why are you saying this now?" Shade ask, Zeus began to create a image of the three of them, "Because if you three were separated in a way you could not unite it will not only cause the destruction of one of your beings but the destruction of world" said Zeus. Shade eyes widen "Then this means I have to find Shadow if we unite once more with Sonic this problem would be solved much faster" said Shade. "...." Zeus keep silence after Shade left and went to find his brother. "Not even that can save him..." said Zeus. "I shouldn't have locked him in that place for so long" said Zeus as he looked back into what was happening in the world.

Dark and Sonic sat down for a moment to rest from all the walking not that they needed to but they never knew what laid ahead. "Should we keep walking or just wait?" Sonic ask, "It is a pretty long walk might as well keep going to we must always keep our heads up there some things we don't know we might cross ahead" said Dark as he and Sonic continue to walk. As they made their was the place was really destroyed "Who could do this and why would they even do this?" Sonic ask, "They are just crystals maybe a issue that causes anger" said Dark. As they continue to walk they saw there was a opening to another room. "I think this is it" said Dark, "It to where?" Sonic ask. "Stay close" said Dark as he looked in and then walked in with Sonic behind him. Sonic was examining the entire place as it was scratch all over and it seemed that a few crystals were thrown to the wall. Sonic was so amaze looking around till his eyes finally got to the middle where this character was sitting there on the throne of course he wasn't looking at them. He had his cheek resting on his clench fist while with the other hand he made a crystal float in front of him and rotate to the movement of his finger. Sonic could feel the cold and negative energy coming from this character it was chilling. He was a hedgehog very familiar to Sonic only difference he was darker tone and his eyes were frightening they were black like a void with red. He was wearing this strange coat pretty old and some pats that were accompany by long boots. He made the crystal stop and slowly turn his red eyes from inside that black background. Looking over to them completely. Sonic froze not moving, while Dark just stood there as well. The hedgehog made the crystal clash with the wall destroying it, and he sat up in a proper pose. "I didn't call for anyone" he spoke in a dark tone, "I know but it is clear that you are the one causing all this disaster" said Dark. "I am causing all this" he confirmed, "Who are you and why are you doing this?" the hedgehog stayed quiet. "Who I am and Who I was is nothing that matters anymore, what I am doing is finishing what was suppose to not start years ago" said the hedgehog. "What does he mean?" Sonic thought, "Ofcourse you wouldn't understand no one does" he said. "You are to stop this now or in this case I will have to battle you" said Dark, "You and I well know that you are incapable of defeating.... red star" he said. "Red star?" Sonic ask looking at Dark, "oh right I forgot we no longer refer to ourselves that way anymore I should call you from your real name" said the hedgehog getting up approaching Dark and in less than a second the hood was yanked off him revealing who he truly was. "I should call you Shadow the hedgehog" he said, Sonic's eyes widen as he saw it was Shadow all this time and back up "You! All this time ..... You?!" Sonic ask. Shadow looked back at Sonic "I never wanted you to know" he said as his eyes were different inside his red eyes he seemed to have a triangles creating like a star. "How can- why?" Sonic ask shaking his head all this time Dark was Shadow it was such a surprising reveal for him. "Yes why? Why lie and cause pain?" the hedgehog ask looking at Shadow. Shadow glared at him, "You and I are more a like than you think Shadow" he said. "Stop changing this subject to me it doesn't matter why are you doing this and how did you knew?" Shadow ask. The strange hedgehog glared at him and glared at Sonic, Sonic gasp a bit looking at him he could see hatred sinking into him. The hedgehog approach Sonic not moving his glare away, Sonic backed up a bit. "Blue star what a poor excuse of a replacement you are, you will never replace the real blue star" said the hedgehog. "I-I don't know what you mean I am not here to replace anyone" Sonic stuttered, "Your nothing you all are nothing!" The hedgehog raised his arm to slash Sonic with his claws. Shadow grab his arm and threw him aside, "Sonic stay away from him and let me handle this!" Shadow yelled as he charged at the hedgehog as his hand turned yellow and punch him with his Paralytic Punch attack. The hedgehog stood there and didn't move and looked down at Shadow grabbing his arm and punch him in the gut forcing out the air in Shadow. Shadow then kicked him but the hedgehog blocked him, "You shouldn't have come here" said the hedgehog as he there Shadow against the wall breaking the crystals. This hedgehog wasn't even picking up a fight he just threw Shadow around like as if he was a toy. Shadow got mad and created Sharp disk attack throwing them all at the hedgehog who just seemed to grab the yellow disk and throw them away. Shadow charged at him trying to land a kick or punch but the hedgehog keeper dodging "Your presence is doing nothing but messing with the sanity in me" he said. "What kind of sanity you have by destroying a world" Shadow ask, "You don't know what happen years ago in this place!" He yelled as he head but Shadow hard causing him to unable to move and threw him to Sonic causing the both to collide to the ground. "Shadow that's enough let me handle him" Sonic said laying Shadow down as he caught a bit of blood, Sonic tried to heal him but the hedgehog kicked him making him fly up and then punched him to the ground what seemed to have been accompany by a shock effect shocking Sonic's body causing a burn. Sonic trembled a bit and looked up at this character and stretch a hand at him. "Mystic Beam!" Sonic yelled trying to hit him but the hedgehog backed up, Sonic got up and then the diamond appear in his forehead. "Dream blaster!" He yelled, the hedgehog raised a diamond wall blocking the attack, Sonic then ran behind him at great speed and spin dash him back making him hit the wall. The hedgehog after the manage to grab Sonic by the neck tightly, "You will all die in this place, welcome to your wish" said the hedgehog.

"That's enough EXE!" The hedgehog park his ears as he looked back at the one who called him. The hedgehog of blue eyes glared at him, "Blue star..." EXE said dropping Sonic who cough. "EXE.... Who imagine you would become this" said Chuck.
