  The chaos beyond the emeralds

From the time Scourge and Mephiles recover the Midnight Soul sword, Sonic and the others were at Alice's castle with Shade. "Yup their stone alright, this is the work of Nightclaw.... Or she and her pets eat allot of cement" said Fleetway. "Something tells we they didn't do this for one reason, this can cause a eternal winter which will give them more time to be able to get all the chaos emeralds before we do" said Shade. "This is so terrible" said Sonic as he looked at the stone and notice something about one of the werehogs, "This Werehog" said Sonic touching its face. "It's so familiar" said Sonic, "Whats the plan then?" Shadow asked. "I guess Shade made it clear and I think it's enough reason to do so collect the chaos emeralds" said Knuckles. "I don't know Knuckles I think I should do this alone" said Shade, "I know you well Shade and you can't do this on your own, let us help which have you found?" Shadow asked. Shade pulled out a blue ball "I guess this is the blue chaos emerald" said Shade, "Really cause I thought that was purple" said Fleetway, "Fleetway!" Silver called, "What I'm just playing" said Fleetway. "So we have to collect all seven but I don't understand how it is so hard to find this things" said Knuckles, "Maybe it's because they are from something beyond our powers" said Shade, "We have to come up with a plan fast where to find this chaos emeralds, something tells me that Hades might even have one or more. If I know Mephiles and Nightclaw well I say they are already searching for more" said Fleetway, "How can you be so sure?" Shadow asked. "I have worked for Hades well, this is just one trick of what he did to Alice and the others but he has worst tricks up his sleeves" said Fleetway. "All we can do is search as well as we can but we can't force ourselves too much, do you have a idea how to turn Alice back to normal?" Shade asked, "Yes we have to attack Nightclaw and defeat him but I will try other tricks to see if something works" said Fleetway, "Please do so" Shade looked over at Alice it seems she put up a fight before she was transformed. "Shade give me the chaos emerald you found" said Knuckles reached out a hand. Shade gave it to him with no hesitation, "Rouge can help us search for the others she has great equipment, maybe she can locate others" said Knuckles. Shade nod, "Then should we head back?" Sonic asked, "I'll stay here checking what I can do with Alice and this stone prison" said Fleetway, "I'll stay too maybe I can help" said Silver. "Oh someone doesn't want to be away from me grrrr" Fleetway teased Silver, "Keep talking and I'll twist your ears" said Silver. "Please be very careful" said Shade, "Relax with my skills I can get them back to normal in no time" said Fleetway.

They went back to the base where Rouge was she put the frozen ball in a capsule to scan it on the computer. "It seems hard for the computer to locate the others since it's such a strong source of power and it's frozen" said Rouge, "Maybe Alice was smart on creating the strongest winter" said Shade. "That may be, we need to search the entire world to see if we can find this things. But I will still be searching on my computer to see if it can locate something" said Rouge, Chloe was in a little baby seat moving back and forth rocking herself. Sonic went over to her and smiled, "Your so cute" he said petting her little head. Chloe giggled raising her arms up as she keep rocking herself, "So what do we do while the computer detects one?" Knuckles asked, "That's up to you, you can go train if you want to" said Rouge. "I'm going to take a shower" said Sonic going to the bathroom. "Well what do you say Shadow, do you want to train a little?" Knuckles asked, "It doesn't seem like their is something else I can do" said Shadow. "Good come on" said Knuckles taking him to the training room, Sonic had taken a relaxing bath, "That hit the spot" he said. "Geez I wonder if we will be able to find all chaos emeralds.... I want to help, I don't want Hades to find them before us or disastrous things can happen" thought Sonic he got dressed with a snap of his fingers. As he pass by the mirror he notice something strange and heard a strange voice. Sonic stop and went back he looked into his reflection but it wasn't his reflection at all, instead of seen a blue fur he saw pink fur a girl. She had longs straight quills that went down, it kinda looked like hair, her eyes were the same color as Sonic's. But there was something about her, Sonic notice she looked worried. "What's the matter?" Sonic asked, but the image disappeared without being able to answer. "Wait!" Sonic called but the image was already gone turning to his reflection, "How strange" he thought. Knuckles and Shadow were training but every attack ended up being blocked or match with one another. Sonic was walking by and saw them fighting, "They seem to train hard to raise their power and skills" thought Sonic. He went inside the room, Knuckles was charge at Shadow with his most powerful punch he called it the Breaker Punch but Shadow moved out of the way. Knuckles was about to hit Sonic but Sonic grabbed his knuckle, "..." Knuckles looked at Sonic a bit shocked, Sonic just smiled giving a small giggle, "I want to train as well" he said raising Knuckles up in the air. "AHHHH!" as Knuckles fall, Sonic punched him making him crash into the wall with Shadow. "Opps" said Sonic, Knuckles feel flat on the floor, "It's incredible how something so sweet is so powerful at the same time" said Knuckles. Sonic went over to Knuckles and helped him up and went over to Shadow to help him out of the wall, he giggled. "Sorry I don't know my own strength" said Sonic, "You could have really hurt us badly you little rascal" said Shadow kissing Sonic's cheek sweetly, "Sorry" said Sonic laughing a little. Shadow grabbed him and pulled him close he started to kiss his cheek more times, "Hey stop is I said I was sorry" Sonic giggled trying to push him away. "Yeah yeah very sweet, but how come Sonic is more stronger than... Probably us?" Knuckles asked. "Because Sonic is one of the star babies" said Shadow, "Star babies?" Knuckles asked confused. "At night the sky shows three stars in a certain place one is red, the other is purple and the last one is blue. The red represents me, purple is Shade, and blue is obviously Sonic. The locations of those stars are unknow but from those stars we are created" said Shadow. "That's a interesting fact but how come you and Shade are twins if your born from different stars?" Knuckles asked, "Cause one star is close to the other and they both took the same design" said Shadow, "But what about your parents?" Knuckles asked, "Our parents are the ones who raise us after our creation they offer the star some of their power to create us since my mother and father choose two stars it made Shade and I twin babies" said Shadow. "Geez Family creation by gods is really complicated" said Knuckles, "Isn't that how mortal babies are created as well?" Sonic asked. "Huh not exactly?" Knuckles said blushing a little, "Then how do you create babies?" Shadow asked, "I will explain another time" said Knuckles as his face turned more red.

Rouge laid back on her seat, "Man this is so exhausting, I have searched everywhere in the map and still no sigh of the emeralds.... Huh! Maybe" Rouge tried to change the location in her computer. She searched underground and found one, "There it is! but how are we going to get to that one?" Rouge thought as she saw it was a yellow one. "Maybe I should search more places" said Rouge as she keep searching, "Eh! Ehhh! Wah!" Chloe started whine as she didn't wanted to be on her little swing. Rouge picked her up, "You must be hungry I should get you some baby food" said Rouge as she went to the kitchen and got Chloe some baby food, "How about Squash?" Rouge said putting her on her little seat and opened the food started to feed it to Chloe with her favorite pink spoon that had a bow on it. "Have you found any Chaos Emerald?" Shade asked, "No not yet I'm feeding Chloe first before I continue to look for some more" said Rouge. "Maybe I should go out on foot and look for them" said Shade, "Wait! If you must know there is a yellow one but it's underground I don't know if you or anyone can reach it" said Rouge. "Then I shall go look for it" said Shade, "Maybe not now, that one seems to be the only safe one out of anyones hands you should leave it" said Rouge. "I can't take any chances for all I know that chaos emerald can land on the wrong hands and I don't Hades to collect them all" said Shade. "I know I don't want that either but you have to be patient please just calm down" said Rouge. "Sometimes not having patients can be are biggest enemy Shade" said Shadow as he walked into the kitchen, Shade turned his attention to his twin, "I think you know that very well" said Shadow as he reminded Shade about what happen years ago. Shade looked away and stayed quiet, "It doesn't matter the problem we are all here Shade, together we are strong but one alone is weak" said Shadow, "I understand.. There is no need to lecture me" said Shade as he left the kitchen. "Your brother can be a bit stubborn" said Rouge, "He may be that way but still he has great potential" said Shadow. "Ma!" Chloe called Rouge, "Oh right sorry" said Rouge continuing to feed her. "Your daughter seems to have a lot of resemblance to you but something tells me she has something from her father" said Shadow, he stared at Chloe who seemed to be enjoying her meal. "Yeah I think I know what you mean" said Rouge, "No you don't not yet" said Shadow. At night everyone was asleep and Sonic had just woke up he needed some water and so he got up from the bed leaving Shadow to sleep. Sonic walked to the kitchen and got a glass if water, on his way back to bed he heard noises on the bathroom. Sonic was curious to find out he approached the bathroom an opened the door a little, he saw the mirror was glowing a green color. Sonic got near the mirror by curiosity and he got pulled in, "Ahh!" Sonic yelled. Shadow's eye open as he heard the scream, "Sonic?" Shadow got up an walked to the bathroom seen the green glowing mirror. "What is this?" He thought approaching it and he as well was dragged into the mirror, Shadow shut his eyes tight as he lands on a strange unknown place. Shadow got up and looked around something about the place reminded Shadow about the time when he was a kid. The village had almost had the same design, "What is this?" Shadow asked, "Halt!" A group of guards got near Shadow they pointed at him with spears. "Law of the king, you can not be out of you home at this hour" said the guard they were all cats, lions, and Cheetahs. Shadow glared at them and pushes the sphere away with his hand, "You can hurt someone with that" said Shadow. "I am about to do so, and I am allowed to for breaking the kings rules the penalty is death" said the guard. "Foolish mortal" Shadow created a small chaos blast barely harmless and he started to walk away. "Ah! Get him!" The Guard yelled calling the others attention they charged at Shadow with their swords. Shadow jumped up getting behind the guard and kicked the back of his head. Another guard tried to slash Shadow with his sword but Shadow grabbed it smashing the hard metal. The guard was shocked and backed away but Shadow kicked him in the abdominal. Other guards tried to attack him from left and right both sides at the same time, Shadow just stood there and when the metal hit Shadow's head it didn't cut him at all. "What the f***?" the guard asked surprise, Shadow glared at them, "What are you?" He asked. Shadow stretched his hand punching both making them crush against the wall. "Grrr attack him from above!" The guard yelled, some guards from the roof of the houses and started to shoot arrows at Shadow. Shadow grabbed each one break them, "Your useless weapons don't work on me" said Shadow. The guard started to chuckle, "No problem get the special weapons!" yelled the guard, "Special?" Shadow asked as he saw them get out weird green shaded arrows and started to shoot them at Shadow. Shadow quickly reached and back flipped avoiding the arrows, "What are those things made off?" Shadow asked surprised. "Not so cocky now are you?" the guard laugh as he got his green sword out, he charged at Shadow. Shadow moved back and grabbed a barrel making the guard slash it for so he could dodge. Shadow moved back and started to charge a yellow beam, "Try to hold back my Chaos Beam" said Shadow as he shoot it at the guard but for Shadow's surprise he manage to block it with his sword absorbing the power. "What?!" Shadow yelled, "Ha! Give it up!" The guard tried to slash him again and manage to cut some of his arm, "Ah!" Shadow hold onto it trying to hold on the blood. Then the guard was charging the same bean at Shadow, Shadow eyes widen as he knew that was his own beam. "Now you try to avoid this!" The guard shoot the beam at Shadow hitting him. "Ahhhh!" Shadow was knocked out, the guard approached him with his guard on. he notice Shadow wasn't moving anymore , "Okay he is out pick him up and let's get him to the castle" said the guard.

Some time later Shadow was opening his eyes. It was a dark place, he got up, "What is this?" He asked looking around. He notice he was like in a cell prison and so he walked close to the bars. He touch them and the bars had shocked him, "What the? How is it that in this time line they have such equip weapons and prison cells?" Shadow asked. "All because of the king" said a bagger in the other cell, "What?" Shadow asked looking at him. "The king has gone mad this past days, ever since he found this strange jewel. I remember it clearly, I use to be one of the guards. He found that jewel in his room and found out it's strange powers. He started using the kingdoms weapons and the jewel gave it incredible powers it was just what we needed for the war we were at. But after being expose for a long time to the jewel he went mad and started to make this ridiculous rules and I ended up braking one" said the bagger. "Can you describe what this jewel?" Shadow asked, "It kinda looked like a diamond and it was green about the size that can fit in one hand" said the bagger. "I see" said Shadow know he had a feeling it was the chaos emerald but his question was how it got here. A few guard went over to Shadow's cell, "Times up blacky the king wants to cut you head off today" said the guard in laughing way. Shadow looked at him sourly, but he played a long and let the guard take him to the king's throne room. "What is this I see a black hedgehog of low class breaking my rules?" The king was a hedgehog as well he seemed to be like a lime color with clear blue eyes and his quills were short but very spiky. "What do you have to say to yourself?" the king asked, "I have no need to give a explanation to a man who gives out useless reasons to kill a mortal just because of being over power" said Shadow, "Fool! I shall have your head!" he yelled. Shadow then notice that the green chaos emerald was right on top of the throne. "I'll be taking that" said Shadow as he was about to approach the throne when a group of guards pointed at Shadow with their swords. Shadow stood still and waited for the right moment he then vanish and reappeared behind a guard chopping his neck knocking him out. "Get him!" The king yelled, a few guards charged at Shadow at the same time, but with Shadow's agility he just dodge and punch. "Your not ordinary" said the king, Shadow glared over at him, "Then it looks like I'm going to have to bring in the special men" said the king. A big group of guards with green armor and weapons came out, "Darn this are charged with the emerald, you give me no choice" said Shadow. Shadow started to do his Sharp disk attack at all of the guard but they used their shield to block it. Shadow got mad and he started to prepare a beam in his hand. "Try to handle my Chaos Beam!" Shadow yelled but one of the guard threw a spear at Shadow's arm wounding him. Shadow yanked it out and he saw the blood, damn he held into his arm and he could see that he couldn't stop the blood as the wound was deep. "I am a god I won't be defeated but such mortals!" Shadow's body started to glow a red color and used Chaos blast. He then attacked each guards with a Chaos Spear, the guard didn't seem a bit hurt. There were guards in the upper part of the castle and started to shoot arrows at Shadow, one landed on his tight. "Ahhh! Damn it!" He yanked the arrow out shaking as the pain felt hard to handle. He then commence to dodge each arrow, he tried to escape but it was too late he was surrounded. Shadow used his Chaos Beam to hold off the guard but while he was doing that he was cut by the arrows. He started to use his Sharp Disk attack to cut most of the arrows, Shadow then used a Spin Dash attacking the guards making them seem like bowling pins being knocked down. Shadow didn't know how much he could take of the wounds the blood lost was making him dizzy in the end he kneeled the contact of the chaos emerald energy was making dizzy and weak. The guards took the opportunity to finally finish Shadow, "Finish him" said the king. Shadow closed his eyes tight in the moment of his almost end something drop from the sealing causing a big smoke. "What is the meaning of this?!" The king asked, the room was surrounded by the darkness of the smoke. Someone was attacking the guards slashing them that was all that could be heard followed by the guards screams. When the smoke cleared the guards were all in the floor injured, but someone shoot in the middle by the strangers figure it was clear she was a female she had strange black clothing and a staff on her hand that had a wide as thin sword in each point. The sword was green it had some of the chaos emerald energy, he head was expose she was a purple cat with a white muzzle. Her amber eyes meet with the kings blue eyes "You!" He yelled it seemed they already knew each other. She went to Shadow and helped him up "Follow me and I will help you" she said and grabbed his arm running away. Shadow ran with her as it seems she knew where she was going, "Come here" she said getting to the bottom room and opened a door that was hidden. "Go down before the guards come" she said, Shadow jumped down and she followed him closing the door.
