  Training process

The next morning Sonic and Shadow woke up at the same time and got out of the van. Shadow stretch a little, "That's strange I could have sworn Silver was there last night" said Sonic. "Maybe he went to do some training of his own" said Shadow, Sonic went next to Shadow, "Are we going to Shade? To begging our training?" Sonic asked. Shadow nod and started to walk away and notice Sonic wasn't following him, "Sonic is something wrong?" Shadow asked going to him, "Shadow even if we do train for all this years what makes you certain we will be strong enough to face Fleetway?" Sonic asked. "If we train hard enough I'm sure we will be stronger than him" said Shadow, "But have you analyze things right? What if there is no need to fight him?" Sonic asked. "Sonic he is a bad guy nothing can be solved by talking to him you should know that by now" said Shadow, "Everything has a good side even the cold ones" said Sonic he walked by Shadow heading to cave. Shadow looked at him a bit confused but went to the cave where they found Shade that seemed to have been waiting for them. "You made it" said Shade, "Yes we came as promise to begging the training" said Shadow, Shade nod "Good then I will be your target come on and charge at me" said Shade. Shadow and Sonic looked at each other thoughtful but then got into their attack position, Shadow was first to charge at Shade trying to punch him but Shade dodge each one. He kicked Shadow's chest hard, "I want you to give me your best!" Shade yelled, Shadow got a bit mad and charged at him again with more speed trying to punch him. Shade grabbed one of his knuckles and punch Shadow's face. "You must know when to dodge and how to do it" said Shade. Sonic was up next, Shade charged at Sonic. Sonic gasp and quickly started to dodge Shade's every punch and kicked, "Your good at dodging but you have to attack as well" said Shade as he stood a beam at Sonic making him crash into the crystals. "Owww you could have warned me about that" said Sonic, "Your enemy will not warn you about his attack" said Shade.

After a while of training Shade finally found a way of training them, "Alright listen clearly I'm going to have to increase both your speed and strength. The speed I will show you it will help with your aiming, timing, and dodging" said Shade, "So what do we have to do?" Sonic asked, "You must chase after me and try to punch, kick, or use your powers against me" said Shade. "Ready? Go!" Shade yelled as he started to run away from them, Sonic and Shadow followed him. They were a bit amazed how fast Shade was, Sonic created a blue orb throwing it at Shade but Shade dodge it, "What?" Sonic asked. Shadow then tried a beam but Shade dodge as well, "His fast... But maybe" Shadow though as he went to a side and jumped on a crystal giving him a boost speeding to Shade. Shade then turned around, Shadow tried to stop a bit as he knew that mean Shade was about to attack, Shade's hands turned a electrifying purple and tried to punch Shadow. Shadow got a bit nervous and tried to dodge as much as he could to avoid the punches but then he got hit by it sending volts to his body. "Ah!" He yelled, Sonic appeared behind Shade and tried to kick him but Shade blocked it with his own foot as well. Shadow then grabbed Shade's arm twisting it and kicked his back, Sonic threw a orb at Shade hitting him. "That's more like it" said Shade as he charged at both with punches and kicks, Sonic and Shadow tried their best in dodging. But still they got hit by Shade, then Shade started to run again having Sonic and Shadow chase after him.

Knuckles was still sleeping on the van till Rouge had a whistle and blew it hard making Knuckles jump. "Ah! What the #€££!" Knuckles yelled, "Get off your lazy butt it's training time" said Rouge. "Training time?" Knuckles asked he saw Rouge was wearing sport clothing and a matching hat, "And I don't suppose you will be training with me" said Knuckles, "What no don't be silly I actually made allot of medium size robots, I worked on them all night, they all have your same strength and speed" said Rouge. "So it will be like I'm fighting against my self?" Knuckles asked, "Yes exactly" said Rouge. Knuckles got out of the van and saw like five little robots and he chuckled a bit, "Really are you sure this little things can do as much damage as I they are much smaller than me" said Knuckles then the robot punch Knuckles face hard making him fly away knocking down a few trees and hitting a bolder. "You were saying?!" Rouge yelled, Knuckles got up rubbing the back of his head he got mad and quickly charged at the robot he was about to punch it but the robot grabbed his knuckles and slammed Knuckles on the floor. Knuckles got mad and got up, "Lets see how you do against this!" Knuckles yelled as he reached for the ground grabbing a ginormous chunk slamming it on the robot. But the robot manage to survive cracking the chunk in two, "Say Rouge did you did it with much motivation?" Knuckles asked, "I said I was going to help you train what a better training process than a challenging one" said Rouge. "I see" said Knuckles his eyes widen as he duck because the robot was attacking him then he started to dodge, the robot even started to shoot many orbs and beams. "Oh you have to be kidding me!" Knuckles yelled. "Come on you can do better than dodge!" Rouge yelled, "Why don't you come here and try it!" Knuckles yelled as he waited for the robot to come to him and then he manage to kick it and punch it hard.

Knuckles was panting allot as he was tried and taking a break, Rouge went to him and offered him a glass of ice tea. Knuckles grabbed it and started to drink, "I have to admire your work those robots aren't a day in the park" said Knuckles, "I made specialized with some of GUN's technology" said Rouge, Knuckles drank his ice tea. "Say I wonder what happen to Silver, I mean I'm sure Sonic and Shadow went to train but I haven't see Silver" said Rouge, "Maybe he left somewhere, I don't know but maybe he just simply left" said Knuckles. "Why would he do that?" Rouge asked, "I don't know but it's going to be a bit easier without him, I mean he would be much safer this way right?" Knuckles asked. "What is I left?" Rouge asked, "....." Knuckles looked at his semi empty glass, "Maybe it would be easier as well knowing your safe makes me much relaxed" said Knuckles. Rouge kissed his cheek making him blush a bright red. Knuckles gaze at her as she giggled, "That's why I'm staying it will give you more motives to protect me and keep me safe, but still...." Rouge paused for a moment. "What is it?" Knuckles asked, "I think I will go to GUN again" said Rouge, "What are you crazy?! They would lock you up or worst!" Knuckles said. "Knuckles look at the facts we can't keep hiding it won't be long till GUN finds us, and face it for once I liked to sleep on a bed more than a van" said Rouge, "And what are you going to do?" Knuckles asked, "I'm going to call the commander, maybe he and I can make a negotiation and maybe there you can get better training with our chambers" said Rouge. Knuckles was thoughtful most of what she said was true, "Alright you can try but I thought they would let you back in so quickly" said Knuckles. Rouge scratch his chin, "Don't you be so sure I was a valuable member in GUN I'm sure they would let me in" said Rouge.

Sonic and Shadow were done with their training for the day. Sonic pant a little giggled, "You know that was allot of work but we manage to get through it" said Sonic. "You both seem to need a bath you stink from today" said Shade, "Well we don't sweat flowers" said Shadow, "Maybe a bath at the springs" said Sonic. "Spring?" Shadow asked, "I know a perfect place where we can go it's not far it was hiding in this place come with me" said Sonic. He grabbed Shadow's hand and lead him to the spring heading inside a little cave making them appear in a odd side of the forest, Shadow felt strange there. "Here it is" Sonic said as he showed Shadow the spring, "It seems warm in this area" said Shadow as he started to remove his boots, he looked over at Sonic and notice he was taking off his clothes. "Wait! We are taking a bath together?" Shadow asked blushing, "Huh yeah we both are dirty after all" said Sonic as he wasn't exaggerating after all. Shadow tried to relax and removed his clothes as well, Sonic was already in the spring taking his bath. Shadow went in and couldn't stop blushing, Sonic was playing with the water a little, "You know it feels nice and warm" said Sonic giggling, "Don't you think Shadow?" Sonic asked. Shadow nod, "Yeah it feels nice" he said, Sonic went rover to Shadow, "Why are you so far?" Sonic asked. "Huh? Sonic don't you find it odd we are in a spring both naked?" Shadow asked, "No after all we are not doing anything bad besides I'm your lover" said Sonic hugging him cuddling to Shadow's chest. Shadow's face was warm and grabbed Sonic's arms lifting him a little kissing his cheek making Sonic purr. Sonic giggled a little stayed close to Shadow put his head under his chin. Shadow hugged Sonic feeling his warmth and kiss his ear a little, Sonic keep his eyes closed enjoying the moment. Shadow looked down at Sonic and raised his chin, Sonic opened his eyes and looked at him confused. Shadow gave him a sweet kiss on the lips, Sonic closed his eyes and kissed him back. Shadow and Sonic kissed for a moment but it was a moment they enjoyed being together. "I love you" Shadow said, Sonic smiled at him sweetly. "I love you too" said Sonic.
