"Valentines day? What is that?" Shadow asked as the subject was brought up. "Don't you guys know anything about celebrations and traditions?" Knuckles asked. The echidna had dragged both Shadow and Fleetway to a store to get Rouge the jewelry she always wanted for valentines day. "I know about it, it's the time of the year when men give woman chocolates and gifts and in exchange they get a kiss or SEX! But men are mostly into the SEX" said Fleetway. "You mortals have a very weird tradition" said Shadow raising a eye brow crossing his arms. "Look I just wanted back up so Rouge wouldn't notice I want her to be surprise when she sees it on Valentines" said Knuckles, "So your going to do it for exchange of sex?" Shadow asked. "Would you two stop it already it's not about that, we give gifts to those who we appreciate as a friend or in my case my wife" said Knuckles. "Yes a man who buy his wife a gift, that should be a story" said Fleetway. "Are you mocking me banana head?" Knuckles asked, "no but that just sounded delicious ... Now I want a banana smoothie" said Fleetway. "Then go but yourself one" said Knuckled, Shadow was left thoughtful he actually found interest in this tradition and he knew how Sonic likes them. "So all this is to express your love in tradition?" Shadow asked, "Yes we just give them that appreciation they at least want and give them a day for themselves" said Knuckled chuckling. "I want to do something for Sonic" said Shadow, "Thats strange since when do you find interest into "mortal" traditions?" Knuckles asked. "I don't maybe not as much as you and Rouge would since your already so use to this type of life style" said Shadow, "It's nothing bad to try every once and a while" said Knuckles. "But what should I get him? Clearly I won't get him jewelry it be weird and plus Sonic doesn't see the value in those things" said Shadow as he company Knuckles to pay for Rouge's necklace. The cashier wrapped the gift into a nice white box with a pink ribbon. "Then get him something he likes, how about chocolates?" Knuckles asked, "Sonic loves sweets but I don't just want to get him something simple. Sonic likes those small details though but he is more into visual stuff" said Shadow, "Visual?" Knuckles asked he looked around to see if he could see Fleetway but then again he always appear out of the unexpected and so they headed back home. Knuckles already had his hiding spot for Rouge's gift and he also had a little something for Chloe. Shadow looked around perking his ears when he was about to head to the living room "HIII!" he had the unexpected and almost felt backwards as he jumped. "Ha! I scared you" said Fleetway, "Your startled me you idiot and next time I will punch your face" said Shadow. "I wonder where Sonic and the others are this place seems so quiet, I looked for my Silver everywhere even in the bathroom and he wasn't there" said Fleetway. "I heard Rouge said something about visit Alice" said Knuckles, "They probably must be over there with Shade" said Shadow. "So what are you thinking about getting Sonic?" Knuckles asked, "Still don't know" said Shadow. "Your lame you can't even think of a good idea for a party" said Fleetway as he went to the kitchen just to cause a big disaster there. "It's not like you would come up with a big idea" said Shadow, "Actually I do have a idea" said Fleetway. "What is it then?" Shadow asked, "You'll see" said Fleetway.

In Alice's castle, Rouge was with her three year old baby Chloe. She was walking around, "Your daughter is very hyper active girl" said Silver. "Yeah she has been this way since this morning" said Rouge. "Say tomorrow is Valentines day what are you going to get your boys?" Rouge asked, "I'm going to make Fleetway heart pancakes since he likes them so much" said Silver as he flew around, Sonic was sitting on the icy ground. "What's Valentines day is it another mortal tradition?" Sonic asked. "Yes sweetie Valentin's day is that special day where your friends and that person you love the most get together" said Rouge. "And what do they do together?" He asked, "Well mostly you and the one you love spend some quality time together and do things you two like" said Rouge. "Sounds like something Shadow might like... Maybe we can try it this time it be fun" said Sonic. "What about you Alice?" Rouge asked, Alice was sitting on her throne. "I don't tend to celebrate much mortal traditions" said Alice, "But you must have had a love one once" Rouge said. "..." Alice became silent, "Have you ever been in love before?" Silver asked. "I had only once a the god of Spring his name was Connor" she said, "Connor sounds interesting, who and how was that guy?" Rouge asked. "My story is short yet feels so long, you know how spring and winter must never meet at a point" said Alice. "Yes cause the encounter of both could be a disaster but we would love to hear your story" said Sonic. "Well I was still a bit young at that time" said Alice.

*Flashback*

"Alice your winter time is almost over it will soon be time to change the seasons" said Demeter, "Yes ma'am I will soon start moving on.." Alice had never seen spring and so she didn't even mind asking she moved on passing by the winter dead trees cover in a white blanket. Alice sigh as she was tired of seen the same thing over and over which was always the white blanket that she left and the ice crystal lakes. On her way to the castle she opened it and settling herself back into her home castle, "Demeter?" Alice asked looking over at the goddess that was in front of her. "Yes my dear Alice?" She asked, "How is spring like? Is it anything similar to winter?" Alice asked. "That's right I forgot you have never seen spring in your life" said Demeter, "No in fact I haven't" Alice answer. "Well I can tell you something about it, it's the time of the year were the trees life return they turn green and some even turn pink. The flowers grow as the animals return to the habitat and the lakes unfreeze" said Demeter, "It actually sounds great to be present during that time" said Alice lowering her ears. "It is a very beautiful season I find it the most pretty one too" said Demeter. "I have always wanted to see it" said Alice, "I'm sorry Alice you know that your emotions affect the weather, so it can be a bit risky" said Demeter. "I understand" said Alice yet she was left with the idea of seen spring and wanted to see it and so she waited for days and then she left her castle unnoticed. She headed over to see as the spring, Alice notice that her snow stop in a certain area. Alice continue to walk over the ground she was surprise she notice the difference and so she continue to walk as she did so she looked up at the sky, "I have never seen a sky so blue" she said amazed. She continue to walk amazed about the life around her and the green trees with pink flowers. She saw a stream not far through the trees and wen there, she saw a few squirrels and rabbits animals she had never seen before. Alice felt so happy the warmth of the sun made her feel so welcome she kneeled down as he looked down at the water looking at her reflection as the streams water went by fast. She looked beside herself where she saw beautiful daisy's "Ohhh" she touched them to only be turned into ice, "Huh?! Ohhh right.... My emotions I have to control them" she said.

A light blue hedgehog with yellow eyes and he also had a lot of frontal hair and with a pink tip on the bottom, Connor was his name also the god of spring. He stared the hedgecat that had called his attention, "She looks so clueless and so beautiful with her light colors making it seem as if she is glowing.... Is she even real?" He asked she saw a pile of snow that followed her behind he used his powers to melt the snowy path. "I thought all the snow had been melted before where could have that come from?" He thought, he approached Alice in a slow pace. Alice perked her ears and looked back of him she gasp a little getting up, "Look out!" Connor called as Alice had taken too many steps back but when she step in the water she had frozen it solid. Connor gasp and notice it was her that had brought the trail of snow. "You did that?" He asked, Alice stayed silent as she stared at this stranger. "Relax it's alright my name is Connor I am the god of spring" he said approaching her. She looked down at the frozen stream and got off it, "I-I apologize" she said. "It's alright don't worry it's nothing I can't fix" said Connor as he melted the stream using a bit of sun light, "Everything looks so beautiful" said Alice. "Well it is spring after all... What's your name?" Connor asked, "I am Alice the goddess of winter" she said. "I kinda assume that since you did brought a trail of snow behind you" he said, "Oh... I didn't notice I'm sorry I just was curious about how spring was like" she said. "Well now you a see it spring is a beautiful place with life" said Connor, "Yeah I have notice it's wonderful so different from my winter" said Alice. "Different how different?" Connor asked, "Well here I can see more animals and spring has so many colors... Unlike winter there is not much life it can feel a bit cruel" said Alice. "I don't think so, Winter can have many colors you have to look for them" said Connor, Alice perked her ears and looked over at him. "How do you look for them?" Alice asked, "Take me to your place and I will show you" said Connor he grabbed her hand but I was too cold. "Wow your freezing" he said, Alice told her head and offer her pinky. Connor wrap his pinky around her's and so they walk away, Connor melted most if the snow trail Alice left.

He could feel the cold as it devour him on their way there, "This is winter?" Connor asked as he saw the white blanket of snow. "Yes this is winter mostly, it's all so white" said Alice, Connor walked around "that's not true come follow me". Connor walked towards a very snowy mountain, Alice follow him. "Look see even some animals sometimes need the winter to survive" said Connor, Alice looked at the horizon and saw a family of polar bears. "Look it's a husky" he said pointing over a little farther, "I never knew animals could withstand the cold or even need it" said Alice she seemed so surprise and happy. Alice was now seen winter a hole new different way, Connor offered her a daisy. Alice blush looking over at it she grabbed it turning it into ice, Alice looked a little trouble towards Connor but he just began to laugh a bit "Looks like even daisy's look better in winter" he said. Alice's cheeks were pink as she laugh as well.

End of flashback

"What happen?" Rouge asked, "Everything in one day we meet and he showed me everything he made me see winter a hole different way. He made me feel special it was amazing how it took him only one day to steal my heart and one day to break it as well" said Alice. "What?" Sonic asked, "I wanted for him the next day I looked for him everywhere nothing.... He only left one thing behind something I treasured and something to let him know I am still waiting" said Alice. The three present in the room felt bad for Alice and actually pitted her, "What was it?... You know if it's okay to know?" Silver asked. Alice got up and lead them all to a room as she opened the door they all saw a amazing tree with pink pedals. "Wow how did this get in here?" Silver asked, "He made it for me in reminder of him of that day, it's like he knew this would happen" said Alice. "It's beautiful Alice" said Sonic, "Yes I loved it as much as the day he created it but I know he will return eventually something about him made me feel like that" she said. Rouge placed her hand on Alice's shoulder "Love will always find it's ways even if you wait a long time" said Rouge holding her girl. "I know... You know it's almost time for you all to head home to your loves don't make them wait much" said Alice chuckling. "Omg it's late well see you some other time Alice" said Rouge, "Bye Alice and Good luck" said Sonic. Alice waved good bye as they teleported away. Alice walked into the room and she opened another door she didn't show them the garden she keep of daisy's and roses that he send to her every year. She just wanted to it to her self as she saw it as something so wonderful to her.
