  Zeus' punishment

Sonic looked around he realized that the plants were dying because of Shadow's and Shade's fight. "Oh no please stop! Shadow Shade listen to me!" Sonic yelled. The king grabbed Sonic's shoulder, "No Sonic I have seen this before they won't listen. I've seen this... Ego brought Shade to react before he could even think" said the king, "There has to be a way to stop this!" Sonic said. "The only way to do it is with the crystal pillars" said the king, "But ... Aren't those pillars around the village how can we move them?" Sonic asked. "We can move them but it will take all the power I have" said Gerald, "But will it hurt them?" Sonic asked, "No it will just seal them so they could stop it seemed they are control by Hades" said Gerald, "Hades?" Sonic asked then a big explosion was heard and blew them away. Sonic got up and went to Gerald, "Gerald!" Sonic helped him up, "We need to hurry there fight is getting rougher" said Gerald. They quickly went inside the castle, "We can only do this in the top floor" said Gerald the castle was shaking making cracks around, "Gerald what's happening?" Sonic asked, Shadow crash into the castle room and Shade punch him as they continue to fight. Sonic went to Shadow and grabbed his arm, "Shadow stop!" Sonic said, Shadow pushed him away making Sonic fall on the ground. Sonic got up, "Sh... Shadow!" Sonic called but Shadow wouldn't listen, "Sonic don't they are too determined to do this hurry lets just go" said Gerald going to the top floor there was some sighs in the floor. "Sonic stand on the middle" said Gerald, Sonic went and clime some stairs standing in the exact middle of the castle. "Now I can use my psychic powers that I have left and try to move the pillars but you have to use yours as well Sonic I need it" said Gerald. Sonic nod, "But I have to warn you Sonic, this pillars are not any pillars once they are moved by the power of a god this pillars will be activated for thousand of years and you won't be able to go beyond them till they are not destroyed" said Gerald, "I just want to help Shadow and Shade no matter the cost" said Sonic he was ready. Gerald nod he went to the book and started to whisper some words, he moved his arms creating a green dust it came around Sonic and surrounded him making Sonic glow a clear blue completely, "Come on Sonic concentration now" said Gerald. Sonic closed his eyes and raised his hands "Shadow..... Shade" Sonic though as the sky turned black and thunder started to fall. Shadow and Shade continue to fight as they didn't know what was happening, Shadow's red beam caused a great damage on Shade but Shade threw a purple orb at Shadow this beams and orbs were more dangerous the villagers ran away from this brutal god fight. Shadow and Shade didn't care they weren't themselves, some pillars around the village started to glow a clear blue and moved away from it's place. They slowly approached the castle, "Sonic they are almost here!" Gerald yelled as he keep using the pillars, "Gerald!..... I can't hold much time" said Sonic, "You have to do this for Shadow and Shade" said Gerald. Sonic tried to hold on as much as he could but it was hard, Shadow and Shade were now in the room and the started to form a beam Shadow's was red and Shade's was purple. "Sonic!" Gerald yelled as they shoot it at Sonic, "AHHHHHH!" Sonic yelled as the beams caused a great damage at him. Shadow and Shade's eyes widen as they realized they hit Sonic, they stopped Shadow went to Sonic who was there he knelled to the ground. Shadow was about to touch Sonic when Sonic looked at him frighten, "Why?... Why would you hurt me?" Sonic asked, Shadow shook his head and hugged Sonic, "I didn't mean to" said Shadow, Shade went to them and he was being shock he looked at the pillars that were surrounding the castle he started to go crazy. "Hades has been using you Shade you must let him go before he can harm someone else like you just did to Sonic" said Gerald. Shade started to scream as the dark red aura re appeared around him and was started to leave his body. Shadow and Sonic watch as Gerald force himself to keep the pillars around long enough to help Shade. The pillars blue grew darker and Shade stopped screaming he looked at Shadow and Sonic, "Shadow... Sonic? What happen?" Shade asked, "Shade your back to normal" said Sonic as he smiled at Shade. Gerald stop as the pillars stop glowing and they returned to the rightful place, Sonic, Shadow, and Shade looked out at the once beautiful kingdom was all destroyed. "Oh no the villagers... And they are all gone" said Sonic, "What have I done?" Shade asked shocked.

A big lightning appeared in the middle of the room, Zeus was there an he didn't look happy at all. In another lightning he had took all tree to Olympus, "Zeus what's going on?" Shade asked looking around and saw all the gods in a react line. "This is where we take judgement on the gods" said Zeus, Sonic lowered his ears and looked at Zeus, "Judgement?" he asked. "I send you all to that kingdom to restore what they lost and to protect it, when I see you all destroyed it" said Zeus, "It ... It wasn't out fault ... Hades he was-" Shade tried to explain, "There is no excuse! You are a god you can not let yourself be control by others" said Zeus, "Please Zeus" said Sonic. Zeus turned away, "You all must receive a punishment for failing your mission ...... The gods and I made a decision as for punishment Shadow and Shade were the ones truly responsible for the disaster so you both shall be turned into a rocks where you can not escape and will stay like that for a thousand years" said Zeus, "What?!" Shadow and Shade asked, "No Zeus please Shadow and Shade didn't meant to do this we can still repair the kingdom please!" Sonic begged him. "I'm sorry Sonic but when a god fails their mission they are punished and there is no second chance" said Zeus, "And what about me?" Sonic asked, "You have done much good Sonic, so I will only give you a slight punishment you are to stay in the kingdom for a thousand years as well repairing what was left of it" said Zeus. Sonic lowered his head and looked over at Shadow and Shade, "Sonic... We are so sorry" Shade said, Sonic smiled sadly "It's okay it will only be a thousand years ... I guess I'll see you then" said Sonic. "Sonic.... I.." Shadow lowered his head, "It's okay I'll be waiting for both of you and we will be together again like a family" said Sonic. "It is done then" Zeus stretch his hand at Shade and Shadow turning them into two rocks Shadow was the red one and Shade was the purple, "Wait wait!" Sonic yelled, Zeus grabbed both rocks and threw them around the earth making them land in different places unknown. "Shadow... Shade you didn't even..." Sonic was speechless he stayed quiet. "I'm sorry Sonic I know this wasn't your fault but I must treat them all the same" said Zeus, "They were my friends" said Sonic sadly, "Thousand years will pass by quickly trust me we will all be waiting for you tree in Olympus" said Zeus he petted Sonic's head.

Sonic was returned to the kingdom, he was now in the castle, he looked around and it still looked damage. "Sonic" whispered Gerald in the side of the room, Sonic ran to him "Gerald!" Sonic looked at him, Gerald rubbed his cheek making Sonic giggle. "I'm sorry Sonic.... But you now have to stay here permanently till the pillars lose all the powers" he said. Sonic then didn't feel Gerald's touch anymore he opened his eyes and saw that Gerald was disappearing, "Where are you going?" Sonic asked, Gerald smiled "I'm going to a place were I can rest in peace I'm sorry I'm leaving at this moment" said Gerald, "Ohh, will I see you again?" Sonic asked, "I will always be there even if you can't see me" said Gerald, "But I can always see you" said Sonic, Gerald chuckled and petted Sonic's forehead and gave Sonic a final smile disappearing. "I will never forget you my friend" was Gerald's last whisper. Sonic wonder where he went he looked around and knew he was alone in the castle, Sonic walked outside to see most streets broken and houses destroyed. Sonic walked around the streets and saw no one, he looked on the floor and saw one flower it looked delicate, Sonic picked it up holding it close to his chest. "I'm all alone..." Sonic said, he stared at the ground he hated to be alone but what other choice did he had, his ears perched as he heard the bushes move he looked over and there was something there. Sonic went beyond and got near the bush, "Come out it's okay I won't hurt you" said Sonic softly. A little werepuppy came out and sniffed Sonic's hand and gave it a little lick, "Are you alone too?" Sonic asked picking him up, he was white with clear blue eyes and some clear blue stripes as well. He licked Sonic's cheek, Sonic skilled at him and keep walking into the village and return to the castle. Sonic knew that a thousand years was going to be hard to handle and night was coming fast. Sonic went to a strange room where he found a room with many wax and Sonic with the little werepuppy he found wax to make candles. As the days passed Sonic always made one little candle and put it in a room, as the years keep passing Sonic stayed alone in the kingdom recovering what was left of it and protecting it. Sonic was starting to grow during the years and was use to his new life waiting in solitude.

1,000 years later in a city of north there was a building that is about investigators of past events. Silver was in the building waiting for the orders, "Mister Silver you may now pass to Vector's office" said the female and green chameleon. Silver went inside the office, "Morning sir" said Silver, "Good morning Silver just the guy I wanted to see..... Where is Knuckles?" Vector asked, "He will be here in any minute you know he is always late" said Silver. "We'll you two have a special job this days" said Vector, "Please tell me it's nothing like the last one" said silver, "No it's better" said Vector. "Knuckles will love this" though Silver, "We discover that there is a village hidden in the forest it looks very damage, according to our investigators it's about a thousand years old or more" said Vector. "That's interesting so you want us to check it?" Silver asked, "Yes I want you and Knuckles to go to that place check everything bring back any souvenir if it's possible" Vector said. Silver went out the building, "Silver!" called Knuckles running to Silver. "Knuckles your late as always" said Silver crossing his arms, "Not my fault traffic was terrible" said Knuckles, "That's always your excuse" said Silver. "Yeah yeah yeah tell me what's the job because if its anything like last time I'll be leaving" said Knuckles, "No we actually have to investigate a new place we never seen before its a kingdom about a thousand or more years old it would be interesting" said Silver. "Oh so where is this kingdom?" Knuckles asked, "Beyond a forest" said Silver, "Ofcourse! why not?" Knuckles asked sarcastically, "Stop complaining at least it will be interesting you need know what cultures or stuff people did years ago" said Silver. Both went though the city heading to the kingdom in the forest deeply, "Too bad we have to go on foot I hate to be away from my car" said Knuckles, "We will investigate for about 5 hours and then call it's day" said Silver.
