  The big mission part 3: Unlocking secrets

Shade was walking on a snowy mountain the wind blew hard on him but he had clothing that keep him warm. He keep on walking he looked behind and saw that his recent steps were gone but then he continue to walk. His feet sunk deeper and deeper into the snow, Shade then found himself with a wall he started to touch it, it was no ordinary wall by the texture he then pressed in being able to pass through the wall as if he knew it was a illusion. Shade did no longer feel the strong wind and gaze around the crystal ice cave, Shade continue to walk deeper and deeper in the cave till he found a crystal door he notice there was like a little hole in form of a crystal. Shade remember the crystals of the cave he pulled one out of his pocket and placed it in the door. The door glow and opened by it's self, Shade walked in and quickly notice it was a castle by it's fine decorations but he notice it wasn't all crystallized like outside. He looked around he searched for someone but didn't saw who he was looking for. A small snowflake came down from upstairs to Shade, Shade gazed the the little snowflake. The snowflake started to move having Shade follow it, it leaded Shade to the second floor about 3 doors away. Shade open the door and saw a big library with millions of books as he gaze all over it and in the middle was a adult Hedgecat sitting on a throne reading a book. She was white like the snow of winter and her light blond hit with a gentle curl gave her a perfect touch, also he clear blue eyes that looks almost crystallized. She wears a short tight clear blue dress, with sleeves that expose her shoulders the same color but at the end of the sleeve there was a line of gold. She also had beautiful boots of clear blue and with hints of gold, and a necklace of gold. She had the colors of winter and was well formed as the goddess of Snow, "You came by sooner than Zeus told me" said Alice, "Well Zeus wanted me to come by to ask you something, but why didn't he ask you himself?" Shade asked, "Well it seems he wants you to hear it instead" said Alice as she closed the book and put it away. Alice got up the throne and walked towards Shade, "Your question is why have I started winter so soon? Right?" Alice asked, Shade nod.

"Well it's because of what Demeter and I have been talking about" said Alice, "What exactly was your conversation about?" Shade asked, "Hades had taken Persephone and now she can never leave the underworld" said Alice. "What? He took her by force?" Shade asked, "No he kidnapped her" said Alice. "What happen? Didn't Zeus save her?" Shade asked, "No Zeus actually married her to Hades keeping her in the Underworld" said Alice, "Why?" Shade asked, "Because Persephone made a foolish choice she eat 3 seeds of the pomegranate fruit in the underworld and once you eat something down there you can never leave" said Alice. "That's terrible" said Shade, "Demeter has been heart broken ever since, and during this three months she let snow fall it's like a balance" said Alice. "But why so early?" Shade asked, "The same reason, Demeter knows what Hades is trying to plan and she wants to slow him down as much as possible" said Alice. "I can't say that he is going to stop by a simple snow storm" said Shade, "That's because you don't know my power, but I must warn you about Hades, he is after the chaos emeralds" said Alice.

"Chaos emeralds?" Shade asked, "Back three years ago before Fleetway abandon Hades, there was a case filled with this strange orbs. Those orbs united into seven orbs those seven orbs held inside a chaos emerald, and they hold great power" said Alice, "And what happen to those chaos emerald?" Shade asked. "They were separated by their force of energy and now they maybe in any place of the world" said Alice, "Why are you telling me this?" asked Shade. "Because after your friends manage to save Sonic and Shadow you would want to collect those before Hades does" said Alice, "So where do I look?" Shade asked. "Well the winter will cause the orbs to freeze so there might be one around this mountain" said Alice, Shade nod and turned to leave the castle. "Be warned the chaos emeralds won't work during the winter time" said Alice, "Don't worry I'll take care of things" said Shade. Knuckles opened his eyes and looked around at the snow that cover the entire place, "Huh?" Knuckles got up and looked side and to side, "Fleetway! Silver!" Knuckles called he was starting to feel very cold. He saw the igloo and got mad and punched it hard braking it in two half, Fleetway and Silver were there with a bit blanket on them sleeping comfortably. Silver was curled and trembling a little, Knuckles grabbed a bit snowball an threw it on Fleetway, "WOooh what the hell man?!" Fleetway asked, "I'm freezing to death, Sonic and Shadow are still in the hands of Hades and you two 'I assume' had sex!" Knuckles yelled, "Hmm?" Silver moved a little and yawns, "I have to admit it yes I had sex with Silver and it was damn good!" said Fleetway, Silver was still sleeping and snuggles to Fleetway.

Knuckles got mad again and grabbed another pile of snow and threw it on them, Silver groans and open his eyes, "Is cold!" Silver said, "Give us warm clothing so we can keep moving" demand Knuckles. After wards they finally had warmer clothes to wear, "There happy?" Fleetway asked, "Yes now we need to keep moving" said Knuckles, "I'm so tired to walk" said Silver, "Well walk cause I'm not carrying you" said Knuckles, "I don't mind!" Fleetway grabbed Silver bridal style, Silver rubbed his eyes and then cuddles to Fleetway. They started to walk into the snow and it was getting a bit windy than usual, "Man even with winter clothes you can still feel the cold" said Knuckles, "That's because you don't do exercise I keep my biscuits hot see" said Fleetway showing his back side and on top of his "buns" there were two hot biscuits, "I'm so glad I don't eat those things" said Knuckles. "Fleetway.. I feel something dangerous close by" said Silver placing his head on his chest, "I think I know what Silver means" said Knuckles, "What?" Fleetway asked, Knuckles pointed on some big metal wall. "What's that?" Silver asked, "Ohh that is just one of the bases Mephiles and I once took over, yup good times" said Fleetway, "Well something tells me Sonic and Shadow are in there" said Knuckles. "They are?" Silver asked, "Yeah they are I can tell by the energy I'm sensing" said Fleetway, "That and because I can see the helicopter there" said Knuckles looking over at it that was completely cover in snow. "So do we go in?" Knuckles asked, "I prefer not" said Fleetway. "Why not?" Silver asked.

"Well lets just say Mephiles and I went a little over the top when we took over this base. We made a few systems inside that works like security but more extreme, it is either you survive or die and almost alive is not a option" said Fleetway. "Then you should know where they are" said Silver, "Yeah not so much" said Fleetway, "Great... How about the vent?" Knuckles asked, "That might work" said Fleetway. "I can go first" said Silver, "Alright sexy first" said Fleetway, "Should I go alone?" Silver asked curious. "No we will be right behind you" said Knuckles, "Geez over protective" said Silver, "It's too dangerous we don't need to rescue one more" said Knuckles. "But don't worry I can go alone" said Silver standing, "Are you sure?" Knuckles asked, "Yeah what's the worst that can happen?" Silver said smiling, "I can think of a few" said Fleetway, "I will go in the vent, if something happen I will communicate with both" said Silver. "Be careful" said Knuckles, Fleetway grabbed Silver's face and kiss his lips "Don't worry if your in trouble I'll be more than happy to get you out of it" said Fleetway. "I know don't worry for me" said Silver walking away, "Just be very patient and tell us what you see" said Knuckles. Later Silver was inside the vent and was crawling, "Is very hot in here that I'm sweating a lot. Is this normal?" Silver asked, "Is the observation done?" Nightclaw asked, "Yes all we need is to find the chaos emeralds and we are set" said Mephiles, "You know this won't work now we will have to wait till winter is over for the emeralds to be unfroze" said Nightclaw, "We have 5 years before the stars are a line" said Mephiles putting the two pearls down on a table. Silver looks down and was surprised "Mephiles?" Silver asked lowly, "What about Fleetway?" Nightclaw asked, "What about him? He is nothing but a traitor just because he fell in love with the white one, but there is nothing to worry about Hades told me about someone that will take Fleetway's place" said Mephiles.

Silver tilt his head and was pressing down the vent but didn't notice, "Who is this new member?" Nightclaw asked, "He hasn't told me his name but Hades said that he has a biological bond with Sonic" said Mephiles. Silver pressed down more and made sounds, he notice and crawls back a little, Mephiles and Nightclaw looked up at the air vent, "Did you heard that?" Nightclaw asked, "Maybe it's started to break I will get someone to fix it soon" said Mephiles. Silver sigh relief, he looked over at the table where the pearls were, Silver used his powers opening the air vent trying to not make any sound but it was difficult. Nightclaw looked over at pearls for a moment and notice they weren't at the table. Silver opens it and tried to grab the pearls with his powers, Silver looks around and got out of it and holds the pearls, "I found you guys" said Silver smiling, "Silver what is taking you so long?" Knuckles asked through the mike. "Oh sorry I found Sonic and Shadow" said Silver, "Really? good then hurry back!" said Knuckles. Silver nod and flew to the air vent but then he stops for a moment. Mephiles hit the vent avoiding Silver's escape by making his way out impossible to escape, "You I be a fool to fall for your trick mortal?" Mephiles asked. "Mephiles you know you can't touch me for the other person that you just mentioned" said Silver, "Hmm?" Mephiles humbled confused. "Don't be dumb, I'm just doing what he told me to do so don't ruin the plan" said Silver, Mephiles got mad and knocked the other side of the vent down where Silver was, "Hey! Hades and I made a deal" said Silver. "You made a deal with Hades?" Mephiles asked, "Yes and anyone knows about it so don't ruin my plan" said Silver. "I don't believe you, what can someone like you offer to Hades?" Mephiles asked, "I can't tell you for now" said Silver. Mephiles open the vent pulling him out, "If that is so why isn't Hades here to bale you out?" Mephiles asked as he grabbed the pearls. "I need the pearls now to keep my plan so give them back" said Silver, "You can burn in hell for all I care" said Mephiles preparing his beam with one hand. Silver glares at him and flew in the vent fast, Nightclaw grabbed him by the quills, "Where do you think you are going?" Nightclaw asked.

"Let me go!" Silver yelled, "Your going to have to kill me for that?" Nightclaw as he deepens his claws on Silver's head. Silver screamed, "FLEETWAY!!!!". "Attack mode active!" said Fleetway who trespass about 10 walls just to reach Mephiles to hit him with his metal hammer having him smash into Nightclaw. Silver was crying as he was hurt, Fleetway went to him picking him up with only one arm. "You idiot I told you no dramatic entrance" said Knuckles grabbing the pearls in the floor, "Sorry once attack mode is one nothing can stop it" said Fleetway. Silver was crying in his chest a lot, "Grrr! This fool ruining our plans!" Nightcore yelled, "You fools there is no time for a fight Shade from Zeus is already hunting the chaos emeralds, the pearls are no use to me anymore get those chaos emeralds now!" Hades yelled. "The emeralds..." Silver said hugging Fleetway tight, "We need to leave" said Knuckles, in the exact moment Mephiles and Nightclaw pass by them in the speed of light. Silver looks up at Fleetway, "Stop them!" Fleetway yelled running after them "Wait!" Knuckles yelled behind him. Fleetway quickly stop when he saw that Mephiles and Nightclaw were heading to the snowy cliff and they both jumped down. Fleetway went over to it and looked down but he didn't saw anything the wind didn't help either, "Fleetway don't go" said Silver. "They got away" said Fleetway, "Leave it we have what we are looking for" said Knuckles holding the pearls. Silver lowered his ears, "Fleetway..." Silver said, "You okay my little Silver you seem tense?" said Fleetway hugging him close, "Rouge we manage to get Sonic and Shadow we will be heading to the base, how are things over there?" Knuckles asked, "Well I don't know about you but Chloe is exited for seen snow and there is a blanket of snow almost everywhere, but bring Sonic and Shadow back fast" said Rouge. Silver flinch and groans, he hide his face in his chest, "Guys we have to go to the base now" said Knuckles.
