  A mothers worry

"This is it?" Shadow said, Sonic remember the orphanage he looked around and didn't saw the kids anymore. "Come on let's get this over with" said Shadow. They went in the orphanage and Sonic could see that all the kid s were inside, "Hello how can I help you?" a mouse woman asked as she approached Sonic and Shadow. "Hello my name is Sonic and this is Shadow my couple, we came here because we heard you have more information about the creature" said Sonic. "Oh you are the visitors the chief told me all about you and said you might pass by, My name is Mimi Mouse" she introduce herself. "Mimi well can you tell us more about the creature?" Sonic asked, "Well yes I will be willing to tell you but not here, I don't want the kids to hear" said Mimi. "Okay well what I know about this creature is little but I hope my information helps" said Mimi, "What is it then?" Sonic asked, "Well it all happen not long ago, I was heading back to the orphanage after buying some grocery. It was late at night and it started to get foggy, at first I felt it was strange but keep walking. Then I heard foot steps heading my way, I thought someone was following me and when I looked back there I saw the hideous creature" said Mimi, "What happen did it hurt you?" Sonic asked, "Well I heard it keep saying 'Leave this place! I'm is still here!' after that I fainted and the next morning some villagers found me pass out" said Mimi, "Leave this place? I'm still here? What did it mean by saying that?" Sonic asked, "It probably doesn't want anyone getting into it's territory" said Shadow. "Probably but some villagers recall that at night it always appears to do the same thing over and over so now you know" said Mimi, "I see" said Sonic he then saw the little rabbit girl passing by, Sonic remember she was the same one that was apart from the kids. "Hey who was that little girl?" Sonic asked, "Who? Cream?" Mimi asked, "I pass by this place not long ago and saw her apart from the kids" said Sonic. "Oh Cream is not so social with kids since her mother died.

"What happen to her mother?" Sonic asked, Mimi lowered her head a little, "Vanilla was her mother's name, she only had Cream she was the only thing she had left since her father left them" said Mimi, "Her husband left her?" Sonic asked, "Yes, Vanilla worked hard just for the sake of her daughter so she worked in a different village where she can find the conditions and higher salary. But one day they called Vanilla from her office telling her that her daughter was in the hospital. Cream had a little disease that wasn't so serious, that day Vanilla broke she was so desperate she ran out just to see her little daughter. She didn't looked at the street and a truck ran over her, since that day Cream stayed here she's about 6 years old now" said Mimi, " 6 years poor little girl" said Sonic. "You know I remember Vanilla use to leave this with Cream when she left" said Mimi giving Sonic a picture of Vanilla holding what seemed was Cream as a baby. "She said it was incase Cream missed her" said Mimi, "She cared allot about Cream" said Sonic, "Yes more than you think" said Mimi. Shadow looked outside and saw it was almost night time, "Well looks like we have no other choice but wait outside at night till that thing appears" said Shadow. "Also be warned this creature can't be hurt" said Mimi, "It can't?" Sonic asked surprise.

Sonic was on the phone with Rouge, "Wow so you guys have to do that?" asked Rouge, "Yeah and we need to wait till sun down... I'm going to be honest with you Rouge I get a little embarrass to say this but .. I'm sometimes a little afraid of the dark" said Sonic playing with his finger. "Nonsense darling there is no need to be afraid you have your man with you" said Rouge, Sonic blush a little when Rouge said that. "Aba Aba!" Chloe tried to grab the phone which Rouge had, "Now silly you can't speak through the phone, I'm speaking with uncle Sonic" said Rouge. "I see you have Chloe with you" said Sonic, "Yes I am taking care of her like always plus Fleetway has been keeping Knuckles on his feet with the training" said Rouge. "Well that's good to know" said Sonic, "Say Sonic now that you mention all that I have something that GUN has been working on for the past few weeks there like glasses that can identify ghost" said Rouge, "What do you mean by that?" Sonic asked curiously. "Easy that means it can tell you who the ghost is every ghost has a identity, so this glasses can help" said Rouge, "Well... That can help" said Sonic. "Good then I'll send them right away, they will be there in a matter of minutes" said Rouge hanging up. Sonic sigh, Shadow went over to him and crouch down in front of Sonic since he was sitting on a chair, "I know you want to do this Sonic but you don't have to push yourself" said Shadow, Sonic looked at him and tilt his head a bit confused. "Sonic tell me the truth are you feeling afraid?" Shadow asked, "It's not so much about what we have to do, it's more about the dark, it scared me a little" said Sonic blushing looking down. "You don't have to feel embarrass by that it's normal for all of us to feel fear" said Shadow, "It is?" Sonic asked, "Yes so don't you let that get in your way" said Shadow putting a hand on his cheek, Sonic smiled and pressed Shadow's hand a little by placing his on top of Shadow's. Shadow smiled at him a little, "I'll be here with you" said Shadow, "I'll be okay" said Sonic. "So what did you talk about?" Shadow asked, "Oh yeah I'm going to wait for Rouge's glasses she's going to send them and they would come back soon" said Sonic. "So your going wait?" Shadow asked, "Yes that way it's easy to know the identity of this creature" said Sonic. "I don't think that would be necessary" said Shadow, "Okay but I will stay here it's getting dark outside" said Sonic. "You sure?" Shadow asked, "I'll wait for the package" said Sonic. Shadow kiss Sonic's hands "It's okay just be careful" said Shadow.

After a few minutes Mimi came in worried and she seemed nervous, "I can't find Cream she's missing!" Mimi yelled. "Cream?!" Sonic asked, "I was looking for her after we spoke and she was gone and it's getting dark" said Mimi, "Don't worry I'll look for her" said Sonic. "But Sonic the package" said Shadow, "Right now Cream is out there she can be in trouble" said Sonic. "Fine then we both go out to look for her, just incase call me" said Shadow, Sonic nod and both went out to look for Cream. Sonic was a bit worried since it was almost dark but also he haven't found Cream, "Cream!" Sonic call but no one answered. He then saw a little girl in the street, "Is that her? Cream!" Sonic call going to the little girl he grabbed her hand, "Hey there" said Sonic crouching down. Cream looked up at Sonic, "What are you doing out here?" Sonic asked, "Mama, I'm looking for mama" said Cream. "Mama?" Sonic asked, "Mama is looking for me" said Cream. Shadow was continuing to walk and felt strange he knew this mean something wasn't normal so he stop and gaze at his surroundings. Shadow quickly jump back as he felt like he was going to be attack by something then strange things were happening. Shadow looked around and saw nothing then everything got foggy, "What's going on?" he asked. "....leave now" was a voice heard that was getting louder and louder. Shadow turned around and saw a hideous creature like a rotten skinny thing. Shadow stayed on his guard and charge at the creature but it disappear, "Huh?" Shadow looked over at the creature, "I'm still here leave now!" the voice was deep. Shadow didn't show mercy nor anything he just continue charged at the creature again but Shadow just trespass it like nothing. "Grrr!" Shadow got mad since he couldn't even punch the creature, "I don't know who you are nor what you are but you will stop terrorizing at once" said Shadow, "Leave now! I'm still here" said the creature. Shadow was going to blast the creature but non of his attacks worked, "Grrr what will it take to defeat this creature" though Shadow. Sonic was with Cream "Your mother?" Sonic asked, "Yes mama... " Cream gasp as she looked over at a foggy area, "Mama! She's here" said Cream as she ran off. "Wait you can't leave" said Sonic following her, "Mama I have to go to mama" said Cream running, "Cream wait!" Sonic called.

Rouge was back at the base with Chloe on her little rocker. Chloe was looking around trying to see what her mama was doing. "Aba! Aba!" she called, "What is it my little angel? Mama is working on something quick" said Rouge as she was fixing the glasses she was working on for Sonic. While Knuckles and Fleetway were outside training, "Dodge!" Fleetway yelled jumping behind Knuckles kicking him. "Ah! Easy I still have a broken rib" said Knuckles getting up, "Too slow no excuses!" Fleetway said then he drop a tiny book from his pocket, "What is that?" Knuckles asked while getting up. Fleetway grabbed the book and it got to a normal size of a book, "Oh this is just a spell book and other stuff I keep" said Fleetway, Knuckles went to Fleetway and grabbed the book opening it. "Yeah all my unique powers came from that book especially my unique fever for biscuits" said Fleetway, "What kind of spell is 'Don't give me a brain in silk I prefer the little milk'?" Knuckles asked then he looked at Fleetway and he had a carton of milk for a head. Knuckles eyes grew surprise, Fleetway open the carton on the side, "That's actually a spell I made my self, pretty cool Huh?" Fleetway asked, Knuckles closed the book for a moment and looked at him still shock, "Yeah I don't think I'll be using this too much" said Knuckles putting the book down. "Wait wait get me a cup" said Fleetway and tilt his head filling the cup with milk, "Well I was wrong your head is filled with something, so what are you going to do now live as a carton milk?" Knuckles asked. "Don't worry I have a way to reverse this spell, ACUCUPAPA!" Fleetway yelled then his face turned back to normal, ".... What the hell did you said?" Knuckles asked, "I have no freaking idea I just figured out that actually reverse spells" said Fleetway. "Yeah... Damn I sure am hungry, Rouge can you make me a little dinner?" Knuckles asked, "You have arms and legs go cook something yourself" said Rouge, "Geez thanks your the best" said Knuckles. He look over to Fleetway's book "Anything in it that can make a decent meal?" Knuckles asked. Rouge was finishing the glasses and turned them into googles, then she was hearing a discussion from Knuckles and Fleetway. "Oh Fleetway your so special sometimes I want to grab your head and hit you till my arm breaks" said Knuckles. "Calm down I'll just open the book and search for a reverse spell" said Fleetway. He had actually turned both themselves invisible, Silver went into the kitchen and was going to head to the fridge and bump into something, "Huh?" Silver looked around confused, "Hey hey easy with the figure" said Fleetway, "Fleetway?" Silver asked, "I'm right here baby can you see me?" Fleetway pinch hit butt cheek. "ahh! No! Don't do that!" Silver yelled mad, "Look just get us back to normal grab the book and read it" said Knuckles, "Okay does anyone know how to read invisible?" Fleetway asked, "What just happen?" Silver asked, "Look just... Just give me a paper" said Knuckles grabbing a paper and put it on the book then he went and look for pencil. He grabbed the pencil and pass it over the paper making the words visible, "Okay now" said Knuckles. "Okay now lets see of this is it oh oh 'mickreary appeary!'" said Fleetway then he appeared, "Okay genius I'm still invincible do something" said Knuckles, Fleetway put his hand on Silver's back pockets and grabbed a red paint and started to spray it all over Knuckles, "Done" said Fleetway. "How did that thing got there?" Silver asked, "Magic" said Fleetway, "Yeah yeah don't do that" said Silver. "Alright" said Fleetway he grabbed the book and hit Knuckles with it across the face and he appeared knocked out on the floor "B*+€# you just got slapped by a book.. B*+€ by a book" said Fleetway, "Good work genius" said Silver grabbing a soda, "Thanks baby" said Fleetway slapping his butt going outside. Silver broke the can of soda and flew after Fleetway mad. Rouge went to the kitchen with Chloe on her hands "I finally finish them... Why is Knuckles on the floor?" Rouge asked, Chloe looked down at him and smiled. "Not even going to ask, come on Chloe lets send this to uncle Sonic" said Rouge, Chloe looked up at her and smiled at her too, Rouge kiss her forehead.

Time passed and Shadow was still trying to land a attack on the creature but still no luck, "Damn it this is not going as planed" said Shadow. "Leave now I am still here" she grabbed Shadow's forehead and press him down to the ground. Shadow got up and tried to hit her but couldn't then he stop, "How exactly am I suppose to attack something that isn't alive at all" though Shadow. He then heard a helicopter near by and looked up in the sky, "Hey! Shadow hands up!" Rouge threw the googles down at him. Shadow grabbed them as he now didn't saw Rouge anymore since the fog got worst. Shadow put them on and looked over the creature, the creature started to analyze her. Then it revealed who the creature was, the googles revealed her as a female adult rabbit, "That face... She's" Shadow though as he remember the photo that Mimi showed them. "Vanilla, Cream's mother" said Shadow, "Leave I'm still here, I can help her, I need her to live" Vanilla yelled. "Mama!" a little girls voice was heard from the distance, "My baby" said Vanilla. Cream was running and went over to Vanilla jumping into her hands hugging her, "Mama" she said sweetly hugging her with a smile. "Cream" Vanilla hugged her close, Shadow removed the googles and saw the beautiful ghost of Vanilla hugging Cream. Sonic for beside Shadow, "So it was her mother all this time" said Sonic, "Yes it seems she was just worried about her" said Shadow, Vanilla looked over at Sonic and at Shadow. Vanilla put Cream down, "Mama go bye bye" said Cream. Vanilla smiled at her and was floating up into the sky till she disappeared, Creamed waved at the sky "Bye mama!" she said. "Cream!" Mimi called out going to her and grabbed her, "Oh my gosh thank goodness your okay" said Mimi. "Well I call this another victory" said Sonic, Shadow nod, the next morning they were leaving and the chief was with them, "I don't know how I can repay you, everything is finally back to normal" said the chief, "No need to thank us we were happy to help" said Sonic smiling, "Where are you off to now?" the chief asked, "We are heading to other places where other people need help like you needed ours" said Sonic. "I wish you the best of luck and return whenever you like" said the chief, Sonic nod "Thank you and goodbye" said Sonic going next to Shadow and both left the village. "Well that was amusing" said Sonic, "We need to keep doing this if we eat to reach our god form" said Shadow. "I know" said Sonic as they keep walking into the woods they felt like someone was following them. "Hehehee" Shadow and Sonic looked behind them as they heard the creepy laugh just to see a very bright light. "AHHH!" right where Sonic and Shadow were standing now lay two giant pearls one of blue and other of red. "Foolish gods left themselves expose to danger" said Nightclaw as he grabbed the pearls.
