Chapter 1: New Best Friend

It was after school and I was making my way to Naomi's house to work on a English project that I have no shits about. I put on my jacket to cover my arms and zip it up. Tommy was gonna come get me after we were done. Although I really didn't want to go home.

I finally made it to her house and I knocked on the door. Her grandma answered the door and I put on the best smile I could. "Naomi, Jades here for you!" She yelled, letting me in. Naomi ran over to me and gave me a big hug. I hugged back and smiled.

"Are you ready to do this pointless project?" I asked, sighing heavily. She looked to get stuff done and our of the way. I on the other hand, I just wanna go party and not have to think about home.

She nodded and took me to her room. "I brought alcohol if you want some" I said pulling out the whiskey bottle from my backpack. I took a swig and passed it to her, she drank from it generously. "This stuffs pretty strong, but smooth" She said quietly so her grandma wouldn't hear. I grabbed my books that I needed for the paper I had to do for English and stared at it for a while. I knew I was smart but I didn't really care about school. I'm the only 14 year old sophomore in my school. Naomi was 15.

I had somewhat finished my paper and it was getting dark now. I had to wait for Tommy to get here. I was dreading going back home. Pop was probably drunk by now and I didn't want to be around it. I sighed and put my stuff in my bag and went in the living room and waited for Tommy to get here, Naomi sitting next to me.
