I went to Naomi's room to change into more comfortable clothes. Naomi walked in, startling me. She gasped at all the bruises on my body. "Don't worry, it's from fighting..." I say quietly. "Jade..." She spoke softly. "Those can't all be from fighting" She spoke again. My muscles tensed. I knew she was right. "Brendan and Tommy don't know...please don't tell them, Naomi" I spoke, choking back tears. I put a more comfortable sure on and a a black sweatshirt on. One of Tommys old ones, and some sweat pants.

"Naomi, promise me you won't tell them" I spoke up, wiping the tears off my face. "I promise" She said, hugging me tight. I hugged her back. "Wanna go for a walk?" I asked putting on my black vans. "Yeah, why not" She replied. I guess Grandma didn't really mind us going on late night walks. "Yo, let me come with." Tommy spoke up. "Ah, fine" I say, punching him in the arm playfully.

We went outside and started walking. I sit down and start rolling a joint. It would be nice to relax for a bit. I rolled it up and lit it. Tommy already knew I smoked so he didn't really mind. "Pass that to me" Tommy spoke up, as we were walking again. I inhaled and exhaled the smoke and passed it to him. Naomi even took a hit and she doesn't smoke.

I just now noticed Tommys face. It made my blood boil that he hurt my brother. "Tommy..." I spoke softly, hugging him. He hugged me back tight, making me wince, "Dont worry about me, Jade. I wasn't gonna let him hurt you" He mumbled. The words stung. He didn't know that he already has and I was afraid to tell him. We started walking back to Naomi's, no one spoke a word.

We walked in and Brendan knew we were high. He glared at all of us. Me and Naomi went back upstairs and I curled up on her bed. "Thank you for not telling him" I said quietly. I held back tears and covered my face with the hood of my sweatshirt.
