Chapter 44 (Unedited)

I accidentally fell asleep in the Gray's house since crying yesterday caused me to feel sleepy. I woke up on a sofa with a cover comfortably covering my body. I squinted my eyes to the unfamiliar scene, but then when I sat up, I realized that I'm still in the Gray's house. Still!

I jolted up and ran to pack my stuff. While I was loudly rummaging through my stuff for my house keys, I heard the words, "What's the rush, Valentine?" I quickly turned around to see Christopher walking into the kitchen. For a second there, I thought that was William. "Where's William?" I asked.

"You know, the deal wasn't to break your friendship to know how he feels, it was to not say anything, but it seems like you didn't want to listen..." Christopher scowled me. "I know, but his excuse was that we were friends, so I thought that the only obstacle was our friendship." I clarified.

"But now how are you supposed to talk to him? He might think that you don't want anything to do with him, and if you try to talk to him, it might be awkward."

"Look, I've been debating with myself on wether or not I have special feelings for him, but all I see is just simple feelings, and it took quite a while for that to even develop. Now it's his turn and he doesn't need any obstacles, even if it's me, to tamper with it."

"You are one weird child, Chelsey Rae."

"Well, I have to do what I have to do to get by in life, even if it's just too ridiculous to work."

"Never saw this side of you. I like it."

We both laughed for a while before proceeding to what we were originally doing. I like this side of me, too. It's resilient and prideful.

When I got home, it was 6pm (A/n: I skipped the school because all they did was take a test, and William didn't come to school.) and I was feeling quite happy with the whole, "Not William's friend," thing. Well...despite the fact that I was thinking about why he didn't object to what I said, and wanting to call him ever since school ended. I know I like him, but I'm not going to go full blast crazy on him, especially since we aren't friends anymore. Wow, Jasmine really wanted me to end up with him—she even asked me to—before the next day of her disappearance, and now I'm not even friends with the guy. Well, I know that it's all for the right reasons.

As I was running up the stairs, I bumped my toe into one of the stairs making me yell a curse. This usually happens once in a blue moon for me, so I actually didn't expect that to happen. I limped the rest of the way upstairs and when I got into my room, there was a note on my dresser. It read: I'm going on a date with your father and Simon's spending the night at your aunts house, so your home alone. -mom.  No parties, no drinking, no boys, no stress. -dad

Okay...? I got out of my room and went to the kitchen. I hope that they at least left me some food. When I got to the kitchen, to my surprise, there wasn't even a speck of food. Yeah because Chelsey Rae loves to starve. 😑

I looked inside the fridge and took out some leftover spaghetti with meat-sauce. Yum!

Flashback
(Didn't make a chapter on this btw)
"I don't think this is safe..." I said, trying to chicken out of a dare. "Of course it is, just trust me." William said before laughing, watching me get ready to ride the biggest rollercoaster I've ever laid eyes on. "I don't trust you!" I yelled while the announcer was saying what not to do while the rollercoaster was riding and telling everyone to have fun.

I looked at him with fear in my eyes. Why can't he ride with me? Hypocrite. His laughing turned into a serious look. "You know you can trust me, Chelse. Just trust me." He told me making me take a big gulp and nod my head, okay. "Just. Trust. Me."

Flashback over

I do trust him, but why do I find it so hard to believe that he didn't feel anything from the try-a-date?

When I was walking to the table to put my hot and steaming plate of leftovers on, there was suddenly two notes on the table. The first one read: I forgot to put this note near your dresser and your dad and I are running late for our reservation so it should be next to this one. William gave it to me earlier to give to you before he left. Don't worry, I didn't read it, but your dad did. Love you, sweetie. -mom

The other one said: Meet me outside the back of the school at 8:30 at night.

When you tell a guy that you don't want to be their friend, they may act like they don't care now, but deep down, they are only plotting ways to communicate with you some more. I guess that I have a trip back to school when I'm done with my "meal."

Hey there, loves! I hope you enjoyed the chapter because I think that I could do better and I will in the next chapter. Sorry for this terrible chapter, I'll make it better later, but in the meanwhile, you can think about what William wants to talk to Chelsey  about. Love you all always, and never forget, if you do then at least remember that you're special to me and the world, so don't shoot yourself down. --Lovely_girl_writer <333 😋😘😍✨✨✨💫
