You stood outside the Medjack hut along with some of the other boys, waiting for Clint and Jeff to finish Gally's examination, your head spinning.

"Gally will be fine, Y/N," said Chuck in his little twelve-year-old voice. "Don't worry."

You buried half of your face in one hand, rubbing your forehead and trying to stop the dizziness that had captured you. Suddenly the door to the Medjack hut opened, and Clint and Jeff stepped out, their faces revealing nothing.

"Well?" asked Alby finally.

Clint and Jeff exchanged glances.

"Well, the truth is," said Jeff, "we don't think it's amnesia. There is no bump on his head to indicate as such. In fact, there is not a mark or scratch on him. There really doesn't seem to be anything physically wrong with him at all."

"You know, apart from the fact that he can't remember anything," added Clint awkwardly.

"Then what's the matter with him!?" you demanded.

"We don't know," admitted Jeff to your frustration. "Nothing like this has ever happened before."

"Because before you came, no one just went charging into the Maze whenever they felt like it," Alby directed at you in a tone that made you feel uncomfortable.

"Maybe," began Newt slowly, "Maybe he just got reset, like whenever someone comes up in the Box. Gally could still get his memory back in a couple of days. You know, starting with his name and then working back up until he remembers everything again."

"Or not," said Dan.

"Do you ever stop talking?" you snapped.

"Watch it," came Alby's warning tone to the both of you.

"You don't know that Gally will get his memories back," continued Dan as if Alby hadn't said anything. "I mean, none of us have gotten ours back, besides our names, what makes you so sure that he will be any different?"

"We don't know anything for sure," said Newt in your defense. "All we can do is wait and hope for the best."

"How is he?" you asked. "I mean, with all of...this."

"He is as good as to be expected," said Jeff.

"He asked a lot of questions, about the Glade and stuff, you know, which is only normal for a Greenie," then Clint paused, realizing his mistake. "I mean, for someone who's, uh..."

"I know what you mean, Clint," you said, temper short.

"Right..." his sentence trailed off.

"I want to see him."

Every eye turned towards the sound of your voice.

"I don't think that-" began Clint.

"Alone," you continued. "I want to see my boyfriend alone."

Nobody said a word, and for a moment you were sure that Alby would command you to stay put, but you wouldn't have listened if he had, and eventually you could tell he sensed that.

"Jeff?" he asked, turning towards the Medjack.

Jeff took a deep breath, then shrugged, "I guess she'll have to see him sooner or later anyway, so it might as well be now."

You didn't wait to hear more. Brushing past the boys, you opened the hut door and went through. Even though it was daylight outside, the inside of the hut was dim. It took you only a second to scan the room and find Gally. He was standing beside a bed, and looking towards the door as if waiting for someone to come back and tell him what was going on. As soon as he saw you, you became extremely self-conscious as his eyes searched you up and down slowly, as if seeing you for the first time.
