Chapter 3

*Harry*

I don't know what I did wrong...I guess this is just because I'm different from everyone else. But she doesn't know what I am. Humans are stupid.

I sigh and get up. Maybe I'll call Louis later. He'll know what to do. I come here looking for my mate, and then I can't find anyone. Even if Alice really is my mate, she hates me. It's obvious.

I leave the cafeteria and head to my next class a little earlier this time. When I'm there, I see Alice sitting quietly in the back. There's a seat open next to her, so I head over and sit down.

"Hello Alice." I say with a smile. "Miss me?" She stiffens. My smile fades.

"Uh..hi Harry." People are staring at us, and I notice Alice's cheeks turn red, instead if their normal pink blush. I clear my throat.

"I..uh...have to go to the bathroom." She lies, getting up and hurrying off. I hear giggles go off in the class. Immediately I get it.

She doesn't wanna be seen with me. I instantly feel sad. I get up and leave the room, despite the teacher calling my name.

*Alice*

I bang my head against the stall door in the bathroom. He needs to stop trying. I don't want to get involved with him. Why did he have to choose this school? Out of all schools he could have gone in in London, he chose this one? Argh!

All of a sudden, there's a knock on the bathroom door. Judging that I'm the only one in here, I figure it's for me. I slowly open it up and poke my head out. Well the nerve!

"What do you want Harry?" I snap. He fiddles with his thumbs. His skin turns a paler shade of blue. I gulp and step back.

"I wanted to apologize...."

"For what?"

"For trying to be your friend." I bite my lip.

"I...um...just like to be left alone." I lie. He gives me a weak smile.

"I understand. I'm pretty used to it by now." I take a deep, shaky breath.

"That's not what I mea-"

"It's fine." He says, and then walks away.

Harry didn't bother me for the rest of the day. I felt better as Jake drove Seth and I home.

"That new kid is some-thing." Seth says with a whistle. I roll my eyes.

"Stop, Seth."

"Why? He's a freak."

"Stop."

"But he's creepy!"

"SHUT UP!" Seth went quiet behind me. Why am I defending Harry? I don't even like him. What is wrong with me?

"Alright you two." Jake says with a sigh. "Dad won't want you two to fight." I roll my eyes.

"Well he can kiss my arse." I mutter under my breath. Jake signs again as we pull into our driveway. We live in a four story house. It would be awesome like it seems, if my mom was here. But she's not. So I have to live with sloppy boys.

"Well I'll be upstairs." I say with a huff. I stomp up the stairs and go into my room slamming the door. Right now, I just want to be left alone.

!NiallLovesFood!: Sorry about what we did at lunch. We would have taken you with us, but the thing wanted you.

-Li-um-: Yeah we really are sorry. Forgive us?

!NiallLovesFood!: Hello? Alice?

-Li-um-: Come on Alice! We're sorry we did that! We promise we won't ever do that again! Please forgive us?

-Li-um-: PLEASE!!!

!NiallLovesFood!: COME ON ALICE! TEXT US BACK! WE'RE SORRY!

"Goodnight, Al."

"Goodnight Dad." I close my eyes and let sleep overtake me.

My phone wakes me up though. I check it, and I have six messages from Niall and Liam, them saying sorry about what happened at lunch.

I turn my phone off.

"Ahh now I can get some sleep." I mumble to myself, as I drift off. I get more cozy, and then slip into a weird dream. More like nightmare...

"I'm sorry." Harry whispers. "But I have to do this. It's the only way." I shake my head, tears streaming down my face.
"Please don't do this! You can't! I don't belong to you! Please leave me alone!"

"I can't! I'm in love with you, Alice. I'm sorry..." He leans in towards me. I back up again.

"Stay away from." I whisper. He shakes his head.

"I know you wish I could, but I can't." He whispers back. He leans in towards me again.

"Stay back!" I struggle to say.

"Sweet dreams, Alice." He whispers. I feel a sharp pain in my neck that hurts like you CANNOT imagine, and then everything turns black, my scream the last thing I hear.
