Chapter 30

*Harry*

John cries out in pain. This is one of my many favorite powers. Causing people pain, but through my eyes.

"Mon...ster!" He chokes out. I smirk.

"Maybe I am one. But at least I get to watch you die a painful death." I make the pain worse, and he screams out in agony.

"Harry you should sto-" Gemma starts, but I interrupt her.

"Shut up." I snap. She takes a step back, shocked.

"Excuse me?"

"I said shut up! I don't need you getting in the way of what has to be done." Gemma's eyes widen.

"Harry, what's gotten into you?! We don't kill people unless they're a threat! This man is unarmed." I shake my head.

"He's evil to our kind. It's better if we kill him." I force the pain into him even more. He cries out one last time, before his lifeless body falls to the floor.

I rush over and check for a pulse, just in case. There's none. I smirk and get up off the ground, dusting my hands off.

"That was fun." I say, my smirk growing. Alice's Dad cries out.

"John! No, John! Why would you do this?! You monsters!" He shouts. I cringe. The real me is finally starting to sink in again.

"I can assure you we didn't mean any harm..." Mum says.

"DIDN'T MEAN ANY HARM?? YOU KILLED OUR ONLY ARMY, THE HEAD OF THE SPACE STATION, AND MY BEST FRIEND WHO ALSO WAS MY BOSS!! NOW I DON'T EVEN HAVE A JOB THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR "KIND". SO NO, I DON'T THINK YOU MEAN WHAT YOU SAY!!" Mum looks shocked, and guilty.

"We didn't know he was your boss." Gemma says softly. 

"Oh, maybe you should have asked first, so the it would be more fun to kill him, right?" He locks eyes with me, and I look down.

"That's not it." Mum says. He glares at her.

"Then what is?! You killed the person in charge of the ship! How are my kids and I gonna get home, huh? I'm not staying on this f'n planet, that's for sure!" His face is red with anger.

"Um...we're not sure on that one." Louis admits. The man turns to me.

"And you! Where's my daughter, huh?? Where'd ya hide her?? Or did ya kill her already!" I take a step back, shocked.

"Kill Alice?? I'd never do that! I'm in love with her! She means the world to me. I wouldn't even think of doing that!" I say. He rolls his eyes.

"Ok sure! So I have to give up my daughter, because some weird alien monster from another planet is in love with her?! I don't think so buddy." He says bitterly. I sigh.

"Look, I know you'll hate this suggestion, but you guys can always stay here...I mean cause you guys obviously can't head back..." Louis trails off, rubbing the back of his neck. The man (I look into his mind and turns out his name is Bill) shakes with fury.

"Over my dead body!" He says angrily.

"But you have no place to stay! Besides, we aren't the monsters. You guys are. You attacked us, not the other way around." Mum points out.

"YOUR SON KIDNAPPED MY DAUGHTER! YOU THINK I'M GOING TO BE FINE WITH THAT?? YOU'RE THE PARENT AND YOU NEVER DID ANYTHING ABOUT IT, WHICH MAKES YOU A MONSTER TOO!!!" He shrieks. Mum winces at his word choice and tone of voice.

"It's not intended to be that way." I speak up. "Alice is my soul mate. She loves me too. She didn't at first, but now she does." He looks shocked and even more mad.

"I know Alice! And I know she would never fall in love with monster like you!"

"Well then obviously you don't know her, because she's in love with a monster." I say flatly.

"STOP IT! GIVE ME MY DAUGHTER BACK!" He fumes. I shrug.

"You can see her, but you can't have her. Unless you have a place to stay, here?" I say innocently. He groans.

"I'll find a way!" He growls.

"Sir, the offer is still open to stay with us." I say. He covers his face with his hands.

"Lord, help me." He sobs into his hands. I sigh, kind of feeling bad for him.

"It isn't that bad here." I say, trying to lighten up the mood. "You'll like it. Your kids can make friends with our friends. It'll be fine. I have a friend that's Seth's age, so don't worry about that either. She's just not here at the moment. She's staying with Alice." I say. At the mention of her name, the wind picks up.

"Hey guys, as much as I wanna sit here and chat with humans all day, we kinda can't... Cause the storm is starting up again...and it's gonna get pretty bad." Tetra says. Bill sighs, annoyed.

"Well, do you take our offer?" I ask him.

"Do we really have any other choice?" He growls.

"No, not really." Louis says. Bill glares at him.

"Come on, then. Follow us. We're staying at a shelter until the storm is over, and we can all be safe in a normal house again." I say. We start back to the shelter.

I suddenly feel eyes on me, so I turn around and see Seth glaring at me. I smile, but my smile fades when he doesn't smile back.

Note to self: Avoid Seth.
