Chapter 11

*Harry*

There's one day left, and I've never been so stressed before. Wizzy warned me that I would be stressed. That there's a lot of responsibility with having a human soul mate. I get up and walk over to where she's curled up in the corner of the room, in the bedroom.

"Hey Alice. There's only one more day until we land, ok? One step closer to you being completely safe." I say happily. But she's not smiling.
I sigh, and scoop her up. She doesn't fight me, which is shocking. But I guess she hasn't been doing that much. I guess she's given up. We're far from her home now. She has to stay with me anyways.

"Come on, you must be tired. You didn't get any sleep last night." She looks at me with wide eyes.

"H-How would you know?" She says, panicked.

Shiz. She can't know I was watching her sleep from the door!

"Um....because I just know." I lie. She squeezes her eyes shut, but I can see tears slip out anyways. "Alice, please don't be worried. I'm just trying to make sure you're safe and healthy." I say, concerned.

I set her on the bed, and tuck her in.

"I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything." I kiss her forehead, and she jerks away.
"Don't touch me." She mumbles. I sigh, and walk out the door. She'll trust me soon. Right?

I pace around the kitchen, not sure what to do. What is there to do? I'm so stressed right now, I can barely think.

Oh come on, Harry. You know things will get better.

I don't know. This all seems too weird right now.

You'll be fine. And so will she. I promise, ok?

Ok, I'm trusting you.

I know.

I sigh, and head back into the room, just to make sure she's ok. She's not asleep, I didn't think she would be. She lies there, tears rolling down her flushed cheeks.

She's stressed. And it's all my fault.

I walk over to her and sit down next to her. I rub her arm gently. She flinches away.

"Hey, how are you doing?" I ask. She doesn't reply. I kiss her cheek.

"Don't touch me!" She cries. She backs away. I grab get arm and pull her close.

"Hey now. No reason to get upset." I pull her into a hug. She trembles in my arms. "I didn't want to do it this way."

"Then why did you do it?" She whispers. I sigh. Maybe I can tell her part of it...?

"Well, if I tell you, it will only be part of it. And please don't freak out." I beg her. She doesn't say anything. "You see, you and I are meant to be..." I say slowly.

"What?" She says so softly, that good thing I have advanced hearing, or I wouldn't have been able to hear her.

"We're meant to be together." I say softly. She shakes her head quickly.

"No. No no no no no!" She sobs. I pull her close to me.

"We have to live on my planet, where I don't have to hide who I am. You may be the only human, but no one will hurt you. Ok?" I say. She starts to cry again.

"No please!" I hug her to me.

"Hey, I'll give you anything you want, ok? There's girls here too. No more "just guys". And my best mate can't wait to meet you." I say, trying to lighten the mood. Fail. She starts sobbing.

"Please don't do this to me!" She hiccups. I kiss her temple.
"You'll be safe." I whisper. I stroke her hair, and pull her close to me. I rub her back with my other hand, and whisper to her, "I'll make you happy. Just wait."
