Chapter 23

*Harry*

I suddenly feel a strange feeling in my chest. I run back into the house and up the stairs.

There she is.

I rush over to her twitching body. She's alive!

"Alice can you hear me?" I cry. She struggles to move.

"Harry?" She chokes out.

"Yes! It's me!" I scoop her up, and hold her shivering body close to mine. "I'm so glad you're ok." I whisper. Tears stream down my face. The good kind though. I'm relieved and happy that she's alive.

"W-What happened?" She stammers. I shake my head.

"Who cares what happened! You're alive and that's all that matters to me." She smiles weakly.

"Yeah..."

"You need food..." I realize. "How about a protein shake?" She nods her head. Wait... She didn't argue with me? Something's not right here...

"Please just help me feel better." She whispers, staring at the comforter of the bed. I gently rest my hand on her back, rubbing it lightly. I understand now. She's weak and in pain. Well, at least she wants to start helping herself get better. I'm all up for it. I've wanted her to get better ever since I met her.

"Of course." I say with a smile. "I'll be right back." I head down the stairs and search the cabinets for the shakes.

But they're empty. All of them. In fact, the whole place is empty. I guess I didn't notice because I was worried about Alice. What's going on here?

I search the whole kitchen. Empty, except for furniture. This is weird... Then I remember. Everyone left. They left me. Alice. All of them. And I thought they were my family and friends.

All of a sudden, the doorbell rings. I rush to the door and open it. Louis'goimg on the doorstep. I frown.

"What do you want? Did you forget something behind when you were abandoning Alice and I?" I say sourly. Louis frowns.

"Abandon you? Why would we do that?"

"Hm... Well let's see. All of you left, and you take half of the house with you. I was not notified about any of this, I believe." Louis slaps his forehead.

"It did seem like we were leaving you guys, didn't it?" I press my lips together in a tight line.

"Kinda."

"Well I'm sorry. That's not it at all. The truth is..."

And then he told me everything.

*Alice*

Harry comes rushing up the stairs. Instead of having a protein shake with him, he has Louis.

"Alice, we have leave. Now."

"What?!" What's going on?

"People from your planet are coming to kill us. Humans."

"Aren't you guys stronger than them?"

"Not if they're armed." Louis points out.

"Use your powers!"

"Your family is coming too. They want Harry dead, and you back with them." Louis says. I stay silent.

"Come on, we should go." Harry says worriedly. Louis nods.

"Good idea. Get her and let's go." Harry scoops me up.

"Where are we going?" I ask. Harry kisses my forehead.

"Don't worry about it, alright babe?" I nod my head. "Good. Now let's go." And they zip ofd, bringing me with them.

They bring me to some underground haven. Louis explains where everything is to me and Harry, and then Harry goes over to my chest and fishes something out.

Pinky.

He hands the pink fluffy teddy bear to me, and I squeeze him tight. Harry sits down next to me, and wraps his arms around me.

"There's gonna be a storm tonight." Louis says, pacing back and forth. "Possibly a tornado. Or worse, a hurricane. Along with a thunderstorm...hopefully we're safe down here." I gulp.

"I'm sure we are." Anne quickly says. Gemma nods.

"We're underground. What's the worse that could happen?"
