Chapter 5

*Harry*

As we walk, I glance down at our hands. I just can't help it. She feels so special.

I have to tell Louis.

Alice shivers, so I strip of my jacket and wrap it around her shoulders. She looks up at me with wide eyes.

"What's wrong?" I ask concerned.

"Aren't you cold?" I laugh.

"No, Alice. I don't....get cold."

"Oh." Her face turns slightly pale. I squeeze her hand.

Soon, we come to her house. We walk up and she faces me on her porch.

"Thanks for walking me home." She says, playing with the sleeves of my jacket. I smile and kiss her hand. She blushes. I step closer to her, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. "Y-You should go." She quickly says. I frown.

"Why?"

"Um...because my broth-" I lean down toward her face, and she leans in as well, not finishing her sentence. My lips are so close to hers. I start to close me eyes and...

"Hey! Who are you?" I jump back, startled. Alice jumps as well. She turns around.

"Seth, what are you doing here?!" He raises his eyebrows.

"Stopping you from making out with creep-o. For real though Al, what is wrong with you?"

"There's nothing wrong with her." I say with a frown. Alice turns to me.

"Here." She starts to take my jacket off, but I stop her.

"You can keep it." I say with a smile. She frowns.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. And wear it." I say. She cracks a small smile.

"Hey! Get away from my baby sister!" Alice groans. A big husky guy rushes over. "Al, who is this guy?"

"Just a friend." Alice says with a sigh. My heart flutters at the word "friend".

"Yeah well leave." He growls. Alice looks down. 

"Bye Harry."

"Goodbye Alice. I'll see you tomorrow?" She smiles. 

"Yes." I wave, and she waves back. I walk off, and when I'm far enough from her house, I start to sprint. I need to get to the telenator to call Louis and tell him. Alice is mine. She's all mine. Louis will be thrilled to know I have finally found my other half. My soul mate. 

Soon, I get to my rented apartment. I rush inside and look through my bags, shoving some things in. I find the telenator, and call Louis. 

"Hello?"

"Lou!"

"HAZ!"

"I found her! My soul mate!"

"YOU DID? WHAT DOES SHE LOOK LIKE? WHAT'S SHE LIKE? IS SHE PRETTY AND NICE? DOES SHE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE??" 

"Whoa! Lou, slow down. I'm going to bring her home, I promise. Now that I've found her, I'm never letting her go." 

"So you're gonna kidnap her?" 

"What other choice do I have?" 

"I wasn't complaining." I laugh. 

"I know." 

"You know Tetra is going to SUPER mad about a human here." I sigh. 

"I know. But who cares. Tetra hates humans anyways. It isn't just because Alice is my soul mate."

"Ooooo her name is Alice? Do you call her Ali? That would be cu-" 

"Lou, I have to go." I say with another laugh. "Just be patient, ok?" He sighs on the other end. 

"Alright. See you soon then."

"You can count on it."

"I expect to see Ali with you."

"You will. I promise."

"Ok good. Bye Harry."

"Bye Louis." I hang up, and sigh. I drop the telenator into my bag, and plop down on my bed. Alice will be ok will leaving, right? I just need to think of the right time to take her...

I search through my bags of clothes, looking for my favorite pair of boxers. Suddenly, my tux falls out of my bag. A small smile creeps accross my face. I think a know a way to kidnap Alice...

*Alice*

"You guys are always breathing over my shoulder! So what if I was gonna kiss him! I wasn't actually going to anyways...We barely know each other!" I yell at Seth and Jake. 

"Not gonna kiss him?! Oh that's a bunch of bull! I know that lovesick look of yours, and you were for SURE wearing it!" Jake yells back. 

"Ok, so maybe I WAS gonna kiss him. But you can't do anything about it, because you're not the boss of me. Stop thinking you can tell me what to do, you don't control my life!" 

"Yeah but Dad does." Seth says smugly from the corner. 

"HE DOESN'T EITHER!!" 

"That's enough!" Dad yells. "Alice, go in the kitchen and take your protein shake." I squint my eyes at him. 

"You called the nurse on me?!" 

"I sure as he- heck did." Dad corrects himself. "And you didn't eat lunch, huh?" 

"UGH I HATE YOU! I WISH MOM WAS HERE!" I stomp up to my room, ignoring everyone, and rush into my room, slamming the door behind me.

There's a small knock on my door. I just lay down, looking at my books, movies, and CD collection. Some old, some last year, some brand new. I always love watching, reading, and listening to them all over again. And I always get new shipments everyday. 

"Al?" It's Matt. I sigh, and sit up on my bed. 

"What do you want? Are you gonna make a smart arse comment too?" 

"No. I just want to talk to you. Can I come in?" 

"I guess." The door opens up, and in comes Matt, chuckling slightly. "What's so funny?" 

"Nothing. It's just, you remind me so much of when you were little. The way you were always snappy and all." He says with a smile. He sits down next to me on my bed. I groan. 

"Oh please not this again!" He laughs again. 

"See! You remind me of when you were little. So much. But more of Mom, than anyone." I sigh at the mention of my mother. 

"Yeah, I was told that countless times."

"Yup. It's true." I play with the sleeves of Harry's jacket. 

"I just really miss her." My voice cracks. "Like, you guys are all have left, and I don't even deserve you guys! Heck, I don't deserve anyone! It was my fault Mom died. I distracted her in the car, then she wasn't paying attention, and took a wrong left tur-" 

"Alice stop."

"What?"

"It is NOT your fault that Mom died, and you better not say that again." Matt says firmly. I nod my head. "Good. Now get some sleep." He kisses the top my head, and heads out of my room. "Goodnight baby sister." 

"Goodnight big brother." Then he closes the door, leaving me alone in silence.
