Chapter 20

*Harry*

I slowly make my way over to Alice. She does look even more sick than ever...Louis is right. I have to do this. And I have to do this now.

I kneel down beside the bed, and pull her body closer to re edge of the bed, near me. I lean over her and force a smile.

"Alice, everything's going to be fine, ok?" I whisper. I hear the door close, and I realized that Louis gave us some privacy.

"W-What's going on?" She whispers, tears streaming down her face. I can tell she's in a lot of pain.

"I have....to do something. But don't worry, ok? I love you, and I'll make sure you're ok, alright? You'll feel better soon, I promise. It's my job to keep you safe and healthy, and that's exactly what I plan on doing."

I know this will be hard for her, but I'm not letting her die. She's already in pain now. How bad can it be?

I move her hair aside, and lean down towards her neck. I feel my sharp canines grow. My eyes turn their misty yellow and navy blue color. I'm not a vampire, but I'm similar to it. We have similar marking processes. And similar ways and habits.

But anyways, I can hear her heart beat increase. She's nervous. I think she has an idea as to what I'm about to do.

"P-Please....don't..." She chokes out. I shake my head, tears streaming down my face.

"It'll be ok." I whisper.

I guess you're wondering why I'm so upset about marking her. It's because not every human will survive the bite and venom. Not every human is capable of with standing it. And as much as I want to think Alice is strong, she really isn't. Her body is small, and she doesn't even get enough nutrients and calories in her everyday. Can you understand now why I'm so stressed and upset?

"Stay still, ok? I'll try to make it quick." I promise her. She tries to move, but she doesn't have much energy left in her. I have to hurry up and do this.

I hold her tightly to me, and press my lips against her neck. She shivers, and tries to pull away, but she can't without energy.

"I'm sorry." I whisper. Then I sink my fangs into her neck.

*Mavis*

"He's marking her already?" I ask nervously. Louis' jaw is clenched, and so are his fists.

"Yes, now hurry up." Even with advanced speed, I still fail to catch up with Louis. Well, I can't even keep up with him for that matter.

"But I don't get it! What exactly is going on? And where are we going?" I ask, feeling super confused.

"We're going to get Anne, Tetra, and Gemma. And then we're going to leave."

*John*

"Air commision! 101!" Dave calls through the moniter.

"We're looking at an open landing, six days from now." I call back.

"Closed landing? Sounds like bull to me." Bill grumbles. Gosh, does he have to be so cranky? We're finding his daughter, for crying out loud! He could at least thank us for going through this much trouble to find her.

"Lighten up!" I try. Bill glares at me.

"My daughter is stuck on another planet with aliens and you want me to calm down?!" He shouts, his voice raising to a high volume, his skin turning red with anger. I notice a big vain stick out on his forehead. Every time he gets angry. Which has been a lot, lately.

I know that he's stressed, worried, mad and upset. I get it. My wife died three years ago, and I don't even know why! Maybe that's why I'm interested in this stuff. CSI, science. Whatever you want to call it. I like solving cases, and figuring things out that could help the world. That's why I love my job so much.

And, wow! Another species! Aliens, I assume. It's amazing! A whole other planet, a galaxy, that, after all these years, we hadn't yet discovered. But now we will.

Of course, bring an armed army with us, is very important too. Who knows how these creatures will react to our little visit.

"So, John." I groan inside my head and turn to face Bill.

"Yes Bill?"

"I would like to know something. When we get there, to these "aliens" your weird friends speak of, what do you plan on doing? Saying? "We come in peace"? And all that other bull? You think they're stupid? They probably have some types of weird powers or something. We won't expect it." I sigh.

"Well, if you really wanna know, then fine. We're bringing one with us to test on, and then we'll wipe out the whole population." Bill's eyes widen.

"What do you mean?"

"We're gonna kill them. Every single one of them."
