Chapter 22

*Louis*

"Go go go!" I shout. Anne, Gemma, Tetra, and Mavis follow me into the rocket.

"What is going on?" Anne demands.

"Where's Harry?" Gemma asks.

"Shut up, all of you!" I shout. They stay silent. "Now let's go."

We get in the rocket, and are off, as soon as we get in.

*Harry*

I pace around in the backyard. Did Louis know that Alice wouldn't make it? Is that why he left?

I shake my head in disbelief. I thought Louis was my best friend. But apparently I was wrong.

*Alice*

All I see is darkness. I try to fight it, but I can't. No matter how much I try, it won't let me through.

Is this how my story was supposed to end? Because I guess, yes. It was.

But I can't die. I can't leave just yet.

What about Harry? Louis? The rest of them? What will they do? What's happening now?

I try to open my eyes, but they won't budge. It's like they're stuck. What's happening to me?

I feel a burning feeling, and then an awful feeling all throughout my entire body. I can't move. I can't speak. I ant do anything. Well, unless you count lying here paralyzed. Useless.

I should have known better than to ignore Harry's pleas. He was only trying to help me. But being the stupid person I am, I ignored him.

Now it's my fault I'm like this. He tried to save me, but I'm so messed up, that that wasn't even possible.

*John*

**SIX DAYS LATER***

"We're here!" Dave calls through the monitor. I smirk.

"Perfect. Come on, boys. We're talking about an open landing here."

*Tetra*

What is going on here? I don't understand.

"Louis tell us." I demand. Louis shakes his head as he continues to drive.

"Can you at least tell us where we're headed?" Mavis asks. Louis sighs.

"Alright, fine. We're headed to the safe haven. And I'm not staying with you guys. You see, I looked into the future and saw that a bunch of humans are coming to attack us. They plan on stealing one of us to use as an experiment, and then kill the rest of us. And they have a HUGE army. They're also coming for Alice, and they want Harry dead the most. So I'm bringing you guys to the safe haven first, and then I'm heading back to sort things out with Harry. And by the feeling that I'm getting, I think I'm gonna get some bad news." He chokes up at the end. I roll my eyes and cross my arms.

"Suits him right for not listening to me. I said we couldn't trust humans! But no one ever wants to listen to me, because I'm stupid." I scoff. Louis rolls his eyes.

"Of shut up! Now's not the time for your stupid remarks."

"Hmph." I huff.

Soon, we get to this "safe haven". It's an underground building Louis built, in case of an emergency.

Louis opens up a hidden passageway, and we all climb down the ladder, and end up in the building. More like layer. It doesn't really have a building technique to it. It's more dirt than anything.

"Is there food here? Water? Places to sleep?" Anne asks, looking concerned. Louis smiles.

"That's the best part. We have an endless supply of food, water, and other things, in that closet and fridge over there. There's blankets, pillows and extra clothes too. Those four doors are all bathrooms. There's, a toilet, sink, and shower in each. Bathroom stuff is also in the closet."

"What about cooking food? Or will we have to have packaged food from now on?" Gemma asks.

"We can eat food raw, but Alice can't. So there's some wood for a fire, which we an start with our powers." Gemma sighs.

"Well I guess that sounds alrght. What about the pets?"

"Way ahead of you. See that door? They're all in there, along with supplies for them. And all of Alice's stuff is in that closet over there, and that chest over there. You guys each have a chest too. Find the one with your name on it. It contains all of your favorite things." Anne runs a hand through her hair.

"Wow...thanks Lou. It's really nice that you did this for us." He smiles proudly.

"You're welcome. Just doing what's best for us." He says. I cross my arms.

"What about the rest of us here on this planet? Are we just gonna leave them to die while we hide here forever?"

"Let me get Harry and Alie first. Then we'll talk about that." Louis says sternly. Then he climbs out of the hideout, and disappears.
