Chapter 45

*Sapphire*

It's dark. And cold. And the only thing that surrounds me, is darkness. And pairs of white eyes. Multiple pairs.

Why hadn't I taken Zaiden's offer? Now I'm all alone. And for some reason, I'm scared. I can't fight off demons. They're too powerful.

"H-Hello?" I stammer nervously. All of a sudden, cold hands clamp down on my shoulder. I open my mouth to scream, but a cold hand covers my mouth.

Something nasty is shoved into my mouth, and I suddenly feel really tired and dizzy. I start to sway on my feet, before I black out.

When I open my eyes, I'm in some place I don't recognize. Where am I? I notice that I'm tied to something, and Zayn is too, beside me. What's going on?

"H-Hello?" I call out. It seems that I'm in a room. On a bed maybe? I think so. I think I'm in a bedroom right now.

"H-Hello?" I call out again. No. I didn't. My mouth didn't move. But....my voice...still said something. What the heck us going in right now? I'm so confused!

"H-Hello?" There it goes again! My voice! But I didn't say anything!

I need to get out of here. I struggle against the ropes, ad shockingly enough, they come off. I quickly get up and untie Zayn.

All of a sudden, I catch myself in a full length mirror. I have tan skin, brown hair, and green eyes. This isn't me. This is a human.

"Hello. Welcome to your insanity." A monotone voice calls. I squeeze my eyes shut. Is this really happening?

Or maybe this is just in my mind...lemme open my eyes and see what's happening now.

I open my eyes, only to see and feel myself running. Next to me, is me. Blue skin, blue hair, blue eyes. Normal. Phew.

But why an I running? And where's Zayn? Where's the room I was just in?

"Sapphire don't!" I hear Zayn scream. I whip my head around.

"Zayn?!"

"Please!" He begs, tears streaming down his face. I turn around and loom ahead.

Oh no.

A cliff. I'm running. And next, I...

jump.

I open my eyes and sit up. A vision. This only means one thing. I'm on Echo.

But who took me here? And what was this vision all about? I hope it means nothing to my future...

"I see you woke up." I turn around to see Zaiden in the corner of the room. Am I in my house? I am! I've missed this place! Home sweet home!
"Did you take me here?" I ask curiously. He nods.

"I thought you might need a hand."

"Uh...thanks."

"No problem. Your boyfriend is in the guest bedroom by the way." I blush.

"He's not my boyfriend."

"But you like him, don't you?" He says that almost kind of sad. I shrug.

"I have more important things to worry about."

"Like what?"

"Like finding Wizzy."

"I already set up an appointment with her. You two have to go in ten minutes."

"Wow...thanks." Zaiden just shrugs.

"Better get going."

"Yeah." I get up and walk into the other room, grabbing Zayn. Then I quickly leave, eager to meet with the master of magic.
