Chapter 35

*Alice*

I slowly open my eyes. What happened? Oh yeah. I fell asleep.

"Harry?" I ask groggily. Harry smiles down at me.

"Yes babe?"

"Are we going home today?" He thinks for a moment.

"Well, I don't hear or sense any wind. There may still be a thunderstorm, but that's not that bad. I guess we can."

"Yaay!" I say, still half asleep. Harry chuckles and scoops me up. I hope it doesn't take long to move back into the house. I'm exausted. 

Zayn's POV.

"Well, we better get going." I say, eyeing the area. Sapphire nods. 

"Good idea. The sooner we get out of here, the better." 

We head into the unwelcoming woods. Yes, they're woods. I don't really know why they call it the "House" Of Demons, but whatever. All of a sudden, Sapphire stops in her tracks, and gasps. I turn to her with a worried expression on my face. 

"What's wrong?" I ask her. 

"Did you hear that?!" She whispers. I shake my head. She frowns. "But it was so loud!" 

"Sapphire, there's a lot of noises in these woods. I'm sure it's nothing." I have to say, I don't like seeing her all scared and nervous like this. I liked it better when we were on the mountain, careless and free. 

"But...but...I know what I heard. It didn't sound normal." She says. I shake my head. 

"I'm sure it's noth-" 

"ZAYN!" She suddenly cries, interupting me. At first, I think she's joking. As soon as I met her, I thought of her as brave. Not scared. But maybe she's being serious.... I sigh. 

"What now?" 

"BEHIND YOU!" I roll my eyes and slowly turn around and...

scream. 

This thin small black ghost demon thing with bright white eyes and a yellow smile floats behind me. If you're having trouble picturing this, think of it as the smoke that blows from a lit candle. Same shape, but black, with white eyes and a yellow smile. 

"What is that thing?!" I cry. 

"A DEMON!" Sapphire screams. "LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" 

"But Wizzia!" I cry. 

"I MEAN LET'S RUN THIS WAY YOU IDIOT!" She points to deeper in the woods. I realize that the demon-thing is blocking our path to get out of these woods anyways. Wow, I am stupid. 

"HURRY! IT'S FOLLOWING US!" I cry. 

Then I realize something. I'm a vampire. I can fight this thing off. I can show Sapphire the bad boy I am. I stop in my tracks. 

"Sapphire, don't. I've got this." I say, feeling more brave. She stops, and frowns. 

"No Zayn! Come on! Let's go before it catches up to us!" She says, grabbing my arm and dragging me with her. I yank my arm away. 

"Chill. I can handle this." I say. "Just hide behind me if you're scared." I can't help but smirk, even though I'll be facing my death soon. But then again, there isn't much that can kill me. She scowls. 

"I cannot believe you right now. Do you want to die?! That thing is less than four yards away from us! There's still time to run! Let's go." She grabs my arm and starts to yank again. 

"Sapphire, I'm a vampire. There isn't much that can kill me. Now calm down. You can't get hurt, can you?" She lets go of my arm. 

"Not really." 

"Exactly. So relax, and let me handle this." She sighs, giving up. Just in case though, she hides behind me. I turn around, and the demon is right in front of me. Black skin, a shadow full of mist and death, blinding white eyes, a yellow smile dripping with venom, and an irritating noise of "tsk" falling from its venomous mouth. 

Oh great. What did I just get myself into?

Sapphire's POV.

I watch nervously as Zayn flings himself at the creature. I don't know why I'm so stressed. I barely even know Zayn! He could be a killer for all I know. Wel, I guess he is one, since he's a vampire and all. But still. 

I guess it's that I've been here alone for a while now, not sure how to get back to my planet. Being with Zayn makes getting home a lot easier. He's determined. He's also nice, and hot. :D 

He's closest I've had to a friend since I've landed on this h' hole planet. I've been so alone, until Zayn came along. And he was willing to let me tag along with him! 

I watch with distress, as Zayn tries to fight off the monster. The demon has him pinned to the tree. I cry out, wanting so badly to do something. But what can I do? 

I look around, and find a sharp piece of wood. It looks pretty high up, on a branch on a pine tree. I grab onto the trunk, and start to climb up. I've always been a good climber, so I get there pretty fast. 

Once I'm at the top, I grab the branch and rip it off, using all of the strength I have. Which is a lot, since I'm an alien. The branch is thick and pointy, perfect. 

I jump down and land on my feet. I grip the sharp branch tightly, and start to charge at the demon. Not loud, though, or the demon would hear, and attack back. Instead, I move quietly, like a ninja. I soon come to the demon's back, as the demon leans over Zayn, about to end him. 

I don't even think. I grip the branch even tighter and stab it into the demon's back. Well, that's what I thought happened. But did you know that this demon has ghost features too? Because I didn't. Instead, I had to find out the hard way. Because instead of the stake going the demon's back, it went into Zayn's chest. 

A.N. Noooooo! Zayn is injured. ;( I guess I should have made Zayn stab the wood into the demon's back, since in real life he's a back-stabber. Lol jk. ;D Please vote and comment!
