Chapter 16

"The truth is, we aren't normal, obviously. We're aliens. You may think this is cliché and all, but it's true. And as for why you're feeling this way, well...that is because you and I are soulmates. That means that we're drawn to each other, and love each other. You may not feel it yet, but soon you will. Trust me.

You see, I came to Earth looking for my soulmate. As soon as I saw you, I knew you were the one. That's why I didn't leave you alone.

At some point, I will have to mark you so everyone can see you belong to me. By doing that, I have bite you on the neck or wrist. You won't be like us, but my venom will cause you to live forever at your age. So then we can be together forever.

My bite will leave two dots on your neck, which will eventually turn into my symbol.

Evey alien has a symbol, and the symbol is what we're born with. Mine is on my upper back, by my right shoulder. I can't tell you what it is yet, although you will eventually see it.

I know this probably a lot for you, but I just want you o understand that I love you no matter what.

I also want to tell you a bit about our kind, and where you are. You're right. You deserve to know. Our planet is called planet Echo. Our kind has different abilities and forms.

I, change my skin and eye color a lot. We also have special powers. Tons of them. We may not all have the same ones though.

Every once in a while we get a new power, until we've fully matured. Which I won't, since I'm young. So I'll keep getting my powers.

A lot of us live with friends here. We all know each other and are really close on this planet. Tetra, Mavis, and Louis are friends, but they live with us.

Other homes are like that too. A little on our normal things too...like food. We eat energy, flesh, blood, meat, and oger things. Some normal foods too. We don't have house phones, we have telenators. And there's no "number". We have codes. We do have cell phones though.

We don't have dry our dishes, we have dridifiers. Our houses are mostly round here, but you can fins other shaped size houses here too.

We usually use rockets as transportation, but we have other ways too.

Our sidewalks are mainly metal, and so are our driveways. There's more things about all of this that you'll eventually find out, but I don't want to tell you too much yet.

I'm sorry if this has been too much for you, I should have split this up a bit... I guess I got a little bit carried away...

I'm really sorry about all of this. I really do love and care about you, I just want you to know that.

I'm so sorry..." I rush out of the room and close the door behind me, pressing my back against it. I take a deep breath and then close my eyes.

Then I hear it.

A scream and a banging noise. I squeeze my eyes shut even more.

I knew that was coming at some point.
