Chapter 15

*Harry*

It's been a week, and Alice still hasn't gotten any better. I haven't told her about why, yet. Or what we are. I'm too scared. But today, Louis meant business.

"You have to tell her." He says firmly, as I pace in my room.

"I know, I know."

"You said that the last time! Haz, it's been a week! Now is the right time."

"Can't I wait to see if she gets better first?"

"No. Tell her or I will!"

"Ugh! Fine." I storm out of my room and make my way to Alice's room. But suddenly, someone stands in the way.

"Where are you going?" Tetra questions. I groan.

"None of your business. You're not my mum or sister so this doesn't concern you." I try to sidestep her, but she just stands in the way again. I glare at her. "Move out of my way." I growl.

"No. You know why? Because I know what you're planning on doing. You're planning on telling that spoiled little human brat, aren't you? Well I'm not letting that happen! Putting our secret in danger because you're in love with the wrong kind! Are you that stupid? I'm not in the mood for a deal, so back off." She says snidely. I can feel my cold blood boil.

"You better move right now, or you'll be sorry." I threaten. "Alice is not a brat! And yes, humans aren't the nicest kind there is, but still. I feel like Alice is different. There's just something about her..."

"I don't care. I won't let you tell."

"Oh really? Last time I recall, I have more powers than you. So you better move, or I won't hesitate to use them." I warn. She stomps her foot like a child would.

"Every time I try to help you! Well forget it!" She cries and stomps off. I roll my eyes and head to Alice's room. I take a deep breath and put my hand on the door knob. I slowly twist it, and cringe as I step inside.

*Dad*

"What we're picking up on here, is your child is in another world." I blink at John.

"Excuse me?"

"She's living with another kind. Take a look yourself." I peer at the screen, and I do see signs of other life...but on what planet?

"There is no planet like that in the galaxy." I say confused.

"Not that we have done studies on." John points out.

"I've never seen that before." I shake my head on disbelief.

"Well, it's true. And if you want your daughter back, we're going to have to plan an attack."

*Tetra*

He shouldn't tell me. I know more than him! Jerk.

I stomp into the kitchen to help Anne with the dishes.

"What's up, hun?" She asks me.

"Harry." I growl. Anne sighs.

"Why don't you two just forget about the past? There's a whole future ahead! Our kind is the future, once you think about it. We don't sit around moping about the past. That's what humans do." A small smile plays on my lips at that last comment.

"I guess you're right. But we can't help but give each other a hard time about it..."

"I understand that. But you two have to fix this." I put the wet dishes on the dridifier. It blows hot air, immediately drying the dishes.

"I know. But not now." I think back to Alice, as I put the dishes away in the cabinets. That brat drives me nuts. I don't think I'll be able to control my anger now, so I rush out of the house.

*John*

"Everything's good. When should we go?" I ask the commander on the other end.

"Soon." He says. Bill turns to me.

"How is this gonna help me get my daughter back?" He asks me, looking annoyed. I shake my head with a slight laugh.

"Bill, this isn't just about your daughter. It's about science!" His eyebrows furrow in confusion.

"So you aren't finding my daughter?"

"Of course we are! But we're researching on the way. Bill, just think about it. There's a whole other world out there! A whole other species! Life! Planet! We can discover this Bill! And we'll be the first to step foot there! Bring the kids. It'll be an amazing experience for them. Especially Seth!" Bill shakes his head. He looks mad now.

"No way. I'm not bringing the boys with us. It's too dangerous."

"So you're gonna leave your family behind?" He bites his lip.

"Well..."

"Come on Bill! They're grown children!"

"Seth isn't."

"So what!"

"Ok fine!"

"Good. Because we'll need people to call back up when we attack."
