Chapter 43

*Alice*

I slowly walk into the class and take a seat in the back. I gulp as I see all eyes are on me again.

"Oh come now! Let's not stare." The teacher, a woman, who seems to be some type of pixie or fairy, says. They all look away at once. My cheeks turn red.

All of a sudden, the girl next to my locker comes sulking into the room. After the bell rang.

"Raven, you're always late!" The teacher, who's name is Miss Summers, says. "Try to get here on time!" Raven shrugs.

"Sorry teach." She says. "I like to take my time." Miss Summers rolls her eyes.

"Yeah, we know." Raven smirks and saunters over to, me! She sits down in the seat right next to mine. My heart starts to pound. I hate vampires!

"Alright class! Today we are going to be doing..." I tune out the rest, because I'm too nervous. Raven has headphones in her ears, and she's doodling a bat in her journal. She glances at me.

"Sup, human." I feel my cheeks turn red.

"Hi." I say quietly.

"What?" She says loudly and obnoxiously. She chomps black gum, and blows a bubble. I just shake my head and face the teacher.

But I'm not paying attention. Instead, I fumble around nervously with my pencil. I wish Harry was here...I would feel a lot more safe if he was.

Finally, class ended. The next class I had with Louis. Thank the Lord!

"Hey babe." Louis greets me as he sits next to me. I smile.

"Hi." I say.

"Alright everyone! Listen up..." And I don't care.

Soon, it's lunch time. Seth and I had to bring our lunch, because we weren't sure if they had human food here.

I don't see Harry, and I start to panick. I see Tetra with the cheerleaders, and I sew Mavis with a few friends with Seth! Who's sitting next to Louis! I'm about to go there, but a group of boys sit down there. My shoulders slump.

Then, I look and see Raven sitting with some goth kids. Well I don't know anyone else here so I mine as well.

I slowly make my way over and sit down.

"Is it ok if I sit here?" I ask nervously. Raven frowns.

"No." My face falls. She smirks. "I'm kidding, human."

"My name is Alice." I huff. She rolls her eyes.

"Yeah, whatever."

Soon, I see Harry walking in. I try to wave him over, but he doesn't even notice me. Instead, he sits down with a bunch of creepy looking people. I frown.

"Is that your boyfriend?" One of the Goth's at the table asks me. I bite my lip.

"Yeah..."

"Oh. Looks like he's ditching ya." She says, glancing at his table.

"No he just didn't see me." I'm quick to say.

"Uh huh." She looks uninterested now. "I'm Ivy by the way."

"Alice." I say stiffly.

The rest of lunch went by in a blurr, and so did the rest of the classes. Before I knew it, I was home, in bed, not wanting to ever leave again.

"Alice?" Someone whispers. I open my eyes and turn over.

"What? Who is it?"

"It's me, Harry."

"Oh. What?"

"Can I sleep with you?" I laugh.

"Sure." I scoot over. He climbs in, and feels awfully cold...

"Tha-"

"Do you have any clothes on? Like boxers?" I ask nervously. He smirks.

"Maybe, maybe not. Why don't you find out yourself?"

"Harry!" I cry, inching back. He rolls his eyes.

"Come on Alice. Go to sleep."

"YOU ARE NAKED!!" I shriek. He rolls his eyes again.

"Go to bed before you wake everyone up." He reaches out for me.

"I can't believe you!" I huff. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close to him. I rest my head on his chest and close my eyes.

"Are you comfortable?" He asks. I nod my head. "Good now get some rest." That shouldn't be hard.
