“Pwede bang break muna tayo?” she demanded.
“Break agad? We’re just starting tapos break agad?” he countered.
“Napapagod na kasi ako eh.”
“Ikaw pa ang napapagod eh ikaw nga itong napakabossy. You’re the one who’s always bossing me around.”
“Eh basta pagod na ako. Break na tayo. Please naman.”
“Hindi nga pwede.”
“Huy! Ano bang pinag-aawayan n’yong dalawa d’yan?” Jessy butted in.
“Sis, hindi ko na kaya. Pagod na pagod na ako,” Sarah replied.
“Bakit, ano bang ginagawa n’yo?”
“We need to finish up with the materials for tomorrow’s event. Itong sis mo eh panay ang hingi ng break. At the rate we’re going, we’ll probably be sleeping here just to finish everything,” Gerald said.
It was almost eight o’clock in the evening but they were still at the office preparing for an event the following day. Part of their job in the Marketing Department is the coordination of all sales-related events of the company. They are in-charge of everything from conceptualization of themes to execution of all plans. In, now, their almost one year of being co-workers, they have spent so many long nights together in the office. On certain occasions Ms. Malou and Sir Gabby would also be there with them. And because of this they have gotten even closer. They are so comfortable with each other that some have mistaken their relationship for something more than friendship. Of course they are so quick to deny these talks arguing that he is happy with someone else.
And in the meantime that Gerald and Sarah are spending so much time together at work, Jessy finally said ‘yes’ to Mike. But even though they are exclusively dating, Jessy still maintains her closeness with them... their threesome still intact – something that Mike is okay with.
“Parang maganda ‘ata ang gising natin ngayon Mr. Anderson ah,” Sarah said one morning as she noticed him coming in wearing a huge smile.
“Dadating si Camille tonight.”
“Really? Kaya naman pala. So maaga kang uuwi mamaya?”
“Yup. Okay lang ba kung sumabay ka muna kay Jessy and Mike pauwi?”
“Ay walang problema. Basta para sa lovelife mo, kahit maglakad pa ako pauwi ay okay lang.”
“Sorry ha.”
“Ano ka ba? Okay lang ‘yon. Alam ko naman kung gaano mo ka-miss si Camille eh. Hindi ko hahadlangan ang kaligayahan mo.”
