Flynn looked at us stunned. I knew by the look over his face that he hadn’t been expecting to hear me announce that. He was opening and closing his mouth, trying to figure out what to say obviously. But when he did speak, he said words I wasn’t expecting to hear.
“No.” He spoke firmly.
Both Evan and I looked confused, “What do you mean no?” Evan asked. Obviously pissed off, no one ever told him no.
Flynn however wasn’t in the mood for a laugh, he was all looking completely serious as he stood taller and shook his head. “I won’t fucking allow it, you’re going to get married properly.”
Now it was my turn to get mad. “What do you mean you won’t allow it Flynn?”
“Emilia, why the fucking rush, you just got engaged?” He asked running a hand through his blonde hair.
I sighed, I knew he wasn’t expecting a wedding so soon, especially since we had just announced our engagement. “We want to get married right away, there isn’t any rush.”
“Well not with my fucking help you’re not!” He warned.
I scoffed and Evan stepped in. “Look, I’ve held my tongue a lot. I’ve held it when you two kissed again, when you fucking shared a bed and showered together. The flirting, the fucking everything. This isn’t up to you Flynn, she’s not your property, she’s my fiancé, mine. We’re getting married whether you like it or not and I don’t care what you think because it doesn’t have anything to do with you, I don’t fucking tell you how to have a life with Jed, so stop trying to do the same with us. Do you know what it’s like to be in a relationship with two people?” He was now mad.
I had no idea Evan felt that way, I didn’t blame him though. I guess I would be pissed if he had a best female friend like that. I wouldn’t put up with it.
Flynn nodded. “Are you going to have a proper wedding, one where you’re walking down an isle?”
“Yes,” I responded slowly, “We’ll have that in a month.”
“Fine. Let’s go then.” He spoke and walked out of the kitchen and towards the front door.
I looked at Evan and smile. “You were really mad.” I said nervously.
He shrugged, “Well fuck me Emilia, I’m sick of having his approval constantly.”
I reached and took hold of his hand and he relaxed instantly, “You don’t need anyone’s approval except mine, and I want to marry you. I don’t care if he says no, I would make it happen baby.”
He smiled, lowering his mouth to mine and kissing me softly. “I love you Emilia.”
We drove to the office and Flynn hadn’t said much to us the entire time. I think he was more so concerned and worried. I just really hoped he wasn’t mad with me.
When we arrived up the stairs to my office Judge Power was standing there looking confused. “Flynn this better be important!” He grumbled.
“It is!” Evan answered. “We need you to marry us.”
The judge looked at Flynn for some kind of confirmation and when Flynn nodded the judge’s face paled. “Mr Mason, Miss Haven, are you sure you want to do this, do you have your prenups sorted out?”
I had completely forgotten about those. “I umm.” I started until Evan cut me off.
“We won’t be needing one at all. Just marry us, and keep it quiet as we haven’t announced an engagement yet.” Evan answered him.
Flynn looked at me before he walked into his office, he was in there for a good ten minutes until he walked back out and handed the judge a stack of paperwork. “Just sign there and say whatever it is you need to say.”
I shot Flynn a glare, “You could be more polite about it!” I hissed.
“Well sorry if this isn’t what I expected to be doing Sunday night!” He grumbled and rolled his eyes. “I’m sorry Em, please marry these two.” He said looking at Evan and patting his back as he stepped aside.
Fifteen minutes later Evan and I was married!
We had left the law firm and headed home, grabbing a stack of pizzas on the way and some Chinese. Yes I was craving the Chinese food and the boys weren’t impressed that they had to drive right into the city to grab it from the only decent place around.
I let out a yawn as I walked into the house behind Evan, Flynn left a couple pizzas in the car to take back to Jed, who still had no idea why Flynn took off. Apparently he forgot to tell him.
“So you two are married, regret it?” Flynn asked, a hidden smirk thrown over his face.
Evan grinned, walking over and kissing me on the cheek. “Nope, never regret it.”
“I’m Mrs Mason.” I grinned wide and Evan chuckled, kissing me again.
Flynn made a fake gagging noise, “Ok, Ok! I’m leaving before I throw up!”
He walked over and shook Evan’s hand, “Congrats old fella, you’re stuck with her now,” he then looked at me and pulled me into a hard hug. “Love you Em, congrats.”
“Thanks.” I mumbled back into his chest. It was nice to have him approve.
We waved him off and Evan closed he front door, “You’re my wife.” He said.
I nodded, wrapping my arms around his neck as he lifted me up and smiled up at me as I smiled back, kissing his nose, “and your my husband.”
“So, beautiful what do you want to do?” He kissed my chest slowly, I tilted my head back and moaned low.
Wondering how a man like him could make me feel so damn amazing, I ran my fingertips through his hair and smiled, “I want to take our food into our bedroom, then get into the bed naked.”
A deep groan coming from his throat, “Oh baby, you read my mind. I knew I married you for something other than your hot body.”
“Mm and I knew I married you for something other than your money, now take me to bed husband, I want to make love.” I rocked my hips into him and moaned as I felt his bulge growing.
“Yes wife.” He replied and did as I asked, more than once.
