Chapter Eight

“Flynn your freaking me out” and he was, he was looking pale and shocked, he turned towards me and stood up to close his doors locking them.

“sit down” he repeated more sternly.

I took a seat on his couch while he sat next to me taking hold of my hands “John brought a one way ticket to flee the country tonight, I had to push the suit through right away instead of Friday, he has been arrested and is in custody, Jed knows about what you went through so he has been helping with the case, the evidence they have on him is substantial, he admitted to the murders of your family and what he done to you considering they already had it on tape”

“you didn’t give them the tapes of us? none of that was recorded on other discs?” I butted in feeling panicked

“Em stop worrying about us I don’t care if it gets out, but no there isn't any evidence of us having sex, I wouldn't hand over the tapes of us god I'm not that stupid, but what I'm saying is we have a strong case, the downfall is that his arrest is all over the news but the details about it will be private, your name wont get out to the public it's not even on the lawsuit it's in another name to keep you safe, the $30 billion were suing him for should be settled by next week”

“Flynn why are you freaking out for then?” I whispered quietly

He looked at me then broke out laughing “I thought you was going to flip out at me for filing early”

I stood up pulling him up with me and wrapping my arms around his neck “your an idiot, but I love you anyway, you have helped me so much and I cant thank you enough, I could never be mad at you Flynn your my best friend, lover and family”

he laughed “your my best friend, lover, family and I love you more than anything as well” he pressed his lips to my forehead hugging me back.

I pulled back “did he say where my family is?” I quietly asked, he just shook his head “not yet, they will get it out of him though” he reassured.

I laid down on the couch while Flynn was on his phone, he had been on it for an hour straight arguing with John's lawyer, I could only hear one side of the conversation and it wasn’t pretty at all, I swear if Flynn ever spoke to me the way he is speaking at the moment I would drop to my knee's and obey his every command, that or burst out crying like a little sook.

He hung up his phone running a hand through his blonde hair “fucking hell, John's running scared since I threatened to make the embezzlement and fraud charges public knowledge, I gave them until the end of week to take the deal or the press will know everything including the murders”

I was still in half shock that this is turning out like this, I was seriously expecting the complete opposite of all this. I stayed laying down unable to move, I felt like I was in the office of a shrink.

“what would happen if I paid someone to kill John?” I asked then wondered why I would ask such a stupid question in the first place.

“you would go to jail” Flynn walked over lifting my head and putting it in his lap looking down at me “and I don't want to visit you in cell Em”

I looked up at him “can I use my card now?”

“no don’t use it until I tell you too, keep that card I gave you, isn't Evan meeting you for lunch?” he asked.

I looked towards the clock and it was 12:01pm “shit” I jumped up “want me to bring you lunch back?”

“no thanks, I have another meeting in ten minutes” he stood up walking to his desk as I left the room.

Evan was standing outside on his phone when I walked out, he was gorgeous looking in his signature black suit, he looked up giving a smile then put the phone in his pocket “sorry I just changed some meetings around”
