I woke up and stretched. The bed empty again but I wasn’t surprised. We were thousands of miles in the sky and Evan was most likely playing poker with Jed, Flynn, Tyler, Jake, Jane and Ryan oh and Tyler’s girlfriend Cara, there was two more of Evan and Flynn’s mutual friends but I just couldn’t remember their names. It wasn’t that I had forgotten I was just too tired to think at this point. We were on our way to St Bartz for a week and decided to make it into a holiday with friends. Plus Jane had like six weeks before she went into labour, she left the kids with her mum and said she wasn’t missing out on this trip.
Evan and I had managed to keep our wedding out of the spotlight for a week. The first thing we had to do was go and tell his parents. Who were stunned, I think they thought we were announcing a pregnancy but no, we were there to tell them we had gotten married. I loved being married to him and luckily his parents were thrilled, his mum was going around to the places we had written out on a list and checking out if they were good enough for us. She was our wedding planner and it didn’t bother me the slightest. It was nice to have that, having a new mum in my life.
However the news of our engagement hit the papers and the press was hounding us desperately, trying to get a glimpse of the wedding band. I didn’t wear that, well I did but not on my finger. I wore it around my neck on a necklace chain and Evan wore his on his other hand.
The constant hassle of trying to walk out of the firm each day to greet my secret husband was difficult. Especially when flashlights were going off and blinding me. Luckily I had Cary with me if Evan was running late. Flynn also threatened to smack them with a restraining order if they didn’t back off. So the holiday was now well worth it. To escape the suffocating of the press was worth spending this amount of money for this exotic getaway.
The door creaked open and I looked up at my husband. “You’re awake?” His sexy voice spoke as he walked into the bedroom of his jet.
I nodded, “I’m getting sick of waking up alone Evan, you’ve done it a lot this past week.”
He had actually been a little more secretive than usual, working later and getting up early. I put it down to nerves of being married. He was a bachelor for so long and now married quickly. I just hoped he didn’t regret it.
He sighed, running a hand through his hard curls “I’m sorry baby. I’ve got just a lot on with work. I promise this entire trip we will wake up together each morning.”
“Are we almost there?” I asked letting out a yawn.
He slid over next to me, wearing his casual jeans and a jumper. “Yes, landing in five so you need to come take a seat, are you still feeling sick?”
I shook my head, “I’m not sick Evan, and I’m tired.”
“Your pregnant,” He spoke, “You’ve been in bed this past week Emilia, I think you need to take that test so we know for sure and then we can figure out what we’re going to do.”
I shook my head had. I didn’t want to be pregnant. “Fine I will take one when we get to the house. It will be negative so you can stop worrying Evan.”
“I’m not worrying Emilia. Come on get up and get dressed,” He moved and kissed me gently.
Evan went to pull away when I pulled him closer, “Kiss me like you mean it my sexy husband.”
So he did. Kissing me with a burning passion as he moved, now laying over me as he ground his hips into my crouch, our hands were both holding each other as I wrapped my legs around his and hooked him into me more. Moaning as the fire spread right down to my core and made me want him desperately.
